Marguerite Cormier
The death of Marguerite Cormier of Jacquet River occurred at the Palliative Care unit of the St.Joseph Hospital Wednesday, July 8th, 2009 at the age of 91. Born in Jacquet River,she was the daughter of the late Peter Wilbur Dempsey and the late Mary Mildred (Doucet). Marguerite is survived by her daughters, Etta Stevens (Jim) of Jacquet River and Iva Jean Ferlatte (Andre) of Dalhousie, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Sanborn, Lourdes Copp, Roberta Burnett, Irma Ferlatte, Lois Rioux as well as her brothers, Patrick, Wilbur, Robert and Bernard. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Henry, son Albert (Bert), sisters Sarah and Bernadette and her brother Lawrence. Her funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, Monday July 13th, 2009 officiated by Father David Ferguson. Pallbearers were James Stevens, Jay Stevens, Laurie hickey, Chester Culligan, Lawrence Doucet and Cameron Dempsey. Wendell Hamilton
The death of Wendell Hamilton of New Mills occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Monday, July 13,2009 at the age of 80. Born in Blackland,he was the son of the late Herbert Wendell Hamilton & the late Ellen (Barristo). He is survived by his wife Sally (Gray); daughters: Linda Lanteigne (Donat) of Beresford, Dorothy Hamilton(Frank)of Petit Rocher, Tammy Gray of New Mills, Joy LaPointe (Elvis) of New Mills; sons: Herbert of Cap Pele, Douglas of New Mills, Richard(Holly) of Noel Settlement; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother Donald & sister Joyce Carmichael. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Wallace & Douglas as well as his sisters Vivian,Eileen & Marion. His funeral was held from Zion United Church,New Mills Friday July 17, 2009 officiated by Rev.
