Marcel Durette

The family of Marcel Durette 88 of Campbellton are saddened to announce his passing at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 4, 2012 after a short illness. Born in Balmoral, he was the son of the late Daniel Durette and the late Edith Hunt. He worked as a public health inspector for over 30 years, but what he was most proud of was his 8 children.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years Kathleen (Flynn) Durette, 4 daughters Peggy Rouleau (Paul), Lorraine Burnison (Charles), Patricia Spicer (Dennis) and Dianne Durette (Steve), 3 sons Robert, Donald (Debbie) and Eddy, brothers and sisters Danny Durette (Elaine), Blondine Black (Everett), Bertha Poley (Bevan), Mida Morrissey (Gerry) and Yvonne Godin (Roland). Also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, son Marcel junior, sister Blanche and granddaughter Diane Spicer.

In respect of Marcel's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private graveside service will be held. The family would like to extend their appreciations to the nurses and doctors for the care and attention they provided to our father in his time of illness.

Mildred Jean Gallant

Passed away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 2, 2012 at the age of 89, Mrs. Mildred Jean Gallant wife of the late Andrew Gallant, of Glencoe.

She leaves her children Kay (Maurice) Dion, Lynda (Tom) Gray, Roger (Denise) Gallant, Mark (Lavonne) Gallant and Peter (Suzanne) Galant, son Donald died as a child.

Nanny Jean will be sadly missed by grandchildren Greg (Annick Soucy) Dion, Donny (Trina) Dion, Carolyn (Ben) Schilling; Philip Gray and Richard (Kim) Gray; Mathew Gallant, Karmen Leh, Erin and Kevin Gallant, James (Leslie Letourneau) and Steven Gallant, great grandchildren Jorja Dion, Hannah Gray and Avery Schilling.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Mildred Butters, sister Sheila Moran and brother Donald Butters all of Sussex England.

Jean was a nurse in England during the 2nd World War and came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. She excelled as a homemaker, mother, baker, gardener and knitter. Jean enjoyed walking in the woods, showshoeing and was actively involved in Church and CWL activities.

Danny Leclair

Friday, August 10th, 2012 in Campbellton at the age of 46, passed away Danny Leclair, husband of Joanne Lurette Leclair. Born in Dalhousie, he is the son of Mrs. Annette (Plourde) and Mr. Leonard Leclair.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Joanne of Campbellton; his twin daughters: Danyka & Isa-Bella of Campbellton; his parents: Annette & Leonard Leclair of Dalhousie; his brothers: Michel Leclair (Helene Bujold) of Baie Comeau, Qc. & Jean-Guy Leclair (Ginette Poirier) of Petit-Rocher; his in-laws : John & Rose-Marie Lurette of Campbellton and his brother-in-law Normand Lurette (Leann Johnston) of Whitby, Ont. also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He has gone to join his twin brother Louis in heaven.

Donald Creighton

The death of Donald Creighton of Campbellton & formerly of New Mills occured suddenly at his residence Friday,Aug.10,2012 at the age of 73.Born in Campbellton,he was the son of the late Ellis Creighton & the late Rita (Dickie).

He is survived by his wife Pat,son Doug (Sanja) of London,ON;sisters Linda Morrison & Mary Jane Norwood as well as his 2 grandchildren & one great grandchild.

Janie Bertin

The death of Janie Bertin of Gravelhill occured at the Palliative Unit of St.Joseph Hospital Aug.05,2012 at the age of 89.

Born in Springhill, NS. she was the daughter of the late Frank LaPointe & the late Stella Gagnon.

She is survived by her daughters Sheila LaPointe (Percy) of Gravelhill,Lucille Gavin (Paul) of Gravelhill,8 grandchildren,several great grandchilden and 8 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers;Leonard,Lawrence,Everette,as well as her sisters Gertie Hickey,Rosaline Mallaley,Cora Lavigne,Doris Carrier & Florence Halloway.

She was predeceased by her husband John,daughters Linda,Marina & Georgina as well as her grandchildren Sheldon,Scott & Paula as well as several brothers & sisters.

Marguerite Melanson Morin

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 13, 2012 at the age of 75, Mrs. Marguerite Melanson Morin of Campbellton. Born in Campbellton she was the daughter of the late Ulric Melanson and the late Catherine Hache.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Paulette Aubut (Ronald) of Campbellton, her brothers Wilfred Melanson of Campbellton and Edgar Melanson (Yvette) of Montreal, her sister Adeline Poirier (Roland) of Montreal, sister-in-law Rita Melanson. Also survived by her granddaughter Anne-Renee Aubut (Francis) Escuminac, grandson Eric Aubut Campbellton, many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, her sisters Ulalie Melanson and Irene Jones, her brothers Alderic Melanson, Emile Melanson, Leo Melanson, Aurel Melanson and Hector Melanson.
