Terry Moores

On June 5, 2004, in Rose Bay, Lunenburg County, Terry (Terrence) Henry Moores finished his last race. As throughout his life, his family continued to be with him, even as his spirit took flight.

Born in Dalhousie, N.B., Terry, 48, was the son of Henry and Lucilla "Lou" (Dickie) Moores of Saint John, N.B., formerly of Charlo, N.B.

Terry's enthusiasm for life found expression in his avid love for drag racing, and he was a member of the Atlantic Drag Racing Association. He wa a coach with Lunenburg Minor Hockey and took pride in helping the players reach their highest potential. Terry enjoyed camping with his family at Keji, which was an annual event that was close to his heart. He was a member of the United Church of Canada and adherent to Trinity United Church, Rose Bay. Terry worked for over 20 years with Bowater Mersey Paper Company, Liverpool, as an Electrical Electronic Instrumentation Technician (E.E.I.) in the Instrumentation Department and was a member of the C.E.P. union, local 141, since 1983.

Throughout his struggle with his illness, his assurance in God's presence, sustained him and gave him grace. Terry's quiet courage, strenght of spirit, creativity and sense of humour will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. He was a friend to many and will be deeply missed. He was deeply touched by the faithfulness of his friends throughout his illness.

Beside his parents, Terry is survived by his loving wife, Vivian (nee Blake); sons Drew and Jon-Daniel, both at home; sisters, Marilyn and husband Kurt Iseron, Saint John, NB, Penny Saulnier, Halifax, N.S., Polly Moores, Halifax, N.S., and nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Nelson Saulnier.

Adrian Lanteigne

The death of Adrian Lanteigne of Belledune, occurred at St. Joseph Hospital, Dalhousie June 1, 2004, at the age of 59. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late Alphonse Lanteigne and Mary Anne Pitre. He was employed by Noranda for 34 years and on the Belledune council for 6 years.

He is survived by his sisters Theresa McIntyre of Fredericton, Louise Steven (Bertin) of Dalhousie, Patricia Medwid (Max) of Calgary, Margaret Lanteigne of Toronto, Elizabeth Lanteigne of Belledune, 5 brothers Alphonse (Jean) of Saint John, Albert (Mabel) of Bathurst, Pete (Ethel) of Tremblay, Leonard (Blanche) of Belledune, Gilbert (Talis) of Belledune, sisters-in-law Vivian, Jeannetta, Marion and Effie, 56 nieces and nephews, 42 great nieces and nephews, 10 great-great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Doreen, Evangeline and brothers Edgar, Alex and Elric.

Claudia Dickie

The death of Claudia Juanita Dickie of the Village Nursing Home, Campbellton, occurred at the Nursing Home on May 18, 2004, at the age of 83.

Born in Amherst, N.S., on August 13, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Claude Leeman and the late Rita Davis. Claudia worked as a photographer for 40 years. She was also an active member of the Women's Mission Society, Past Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher with the First Baptist Church in Campbellton.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Barbara (Lo-Sun) Jen of Ottawa, Ont.; son Bruce (Joni) Dickie of Campbellton, N.B. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kimberly Jen, Scott Jen, Alana Dickie and Leah Dickie.

She was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Rita, and her husband Douglas Dickie.

Alfred Hickey

The death of J. Alfred (Fred) Hickey of 318 Victoria St., Dalhousie, occurred in Dalhousie on May 29, 2004, at the age of 89.

Born in Nash creek, on October 20, 1914, he was the son of the late Alfred Hickey and the late Olive LaPointe. He was employed for 29 years as a machinist for the Canadian Int. Paper Co., was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and board member of the Dalhousie Credit Unioon and Dalhousie Co-Op.

He is survived by his wife Bertha Valdron of Dalhousie; daughters Judy (Brian) Leger of Fredericton, Paula Parise of New Maryland, and Karen (John) Lipsett of New Maryland,; sons Keven (Dianne) of Riverview and Colin (Judy) of Dalhousie; sister Eugenie Gregoire of Campbellton; brother Cecil Hickey of Fredericton; grandchildren Vanessa, Sophie, Dominique, Jonathan, Eric, Lionel, Crystal, Michelle, and Lauren; great grandchild Zachary.

He was predeceased by his brothers Leo, Paul, Louis and Arthur and sister Anges Roberge.

Daniel Doucet

The death of Daniel Antointe Doucet of Campbellton occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on June 6, 2004, at the age of 69.

Born in Campbellton on July 17, 1934, he was the son of the late Antoine Doucet and the late Margaret Furlong. Daniel was a retired Registered Nurse, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a veteran of the Korean War.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Rita Doucet (nee Callaghan); daughters Ann Tompkin of Campbellton, Carol Maloney of Fredericton and Charlotte Doucet of Montreal; sons Daniel Doucet Jr. of Oromocto and Ronald Doucet of Montreal; sister Doreen Doucet of Campbellton; brother Gabriel Doucet of Campbellton; also survived by 12 grandchildren, three nephews, Peter Doucet, Terry Doucet and Kiven Boudreau and one niece Joanne Doucet.

Lionel Levesque

The death of Lionel Joseph Levesque of the Soldiers' Memorial Villa, Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 30, 2004.

Born in Campbellton on October 27, 1925, he was the son of the late John Levesque and the late Laura Parent.

He is survived by his daughters, Geraldine (Raymond Albert ), Albertine (Jean Marc Savoie) , Rachel (David Parsons), Micheline Levesque, Linda (Doug Connors) and Julie (Sylvain Langlois); sons Regis, Michel and Jacques; sister Isabelle; brothers Edgar and Albert; as well as grandchildren Ricky, Kevin, Andrew, Penny, Adam, Lise, Marc, Julie and Shaw; and great grandchildren Raphael, Zachary, Christian and Jonathan.

He was predeceased by his wife Maria Johnson as well as John, Bertrand, Irene, Evelyne, Henry, Thomas, Edgar and Yvonne.
