Andrew Degrace

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 28, 2007 at the age of 84, Mr. Andrew Degrace. Born in Chatham, NB on August 12, 1922, he was the son of the late Paul Degrace and the late Elma Brault.

He leaves to mourn his wife Grace Bell Degrace, his daughters Yvonne (Alex) LeBlanc of Atholville, Sandra (Matthew) Swan of Broadlands and Norma (Ricky) Cormier of Dalhousie, his sons Gene (Margaret) Degrace of Broadlands and Michael (Ida) Degrace of Belledune, his brother Albert Degrace of Kedgwick. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 1 sister Dorina, 3 brothers Robert, Levi and Eddy.

The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Lourdes Church Atholville on Thursday May 31st at 3pm. Father Morrison officiating. Interment at the Tide Head Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Arthur Dunn

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their dad Arthur Dunn, on Wednesday May 16, 2007, at his home in Mississauga, Ontario. Arthur is survived by Joan Dunn, the mother of his 7 children, Barbara (Larry), Beverly, Cheryl (Mike), Michelle (Rob), Arthur Jr. (Tracey), Danny (Shawna) and Bill (Daniela); his 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also mourning his loss is his 3 sisters; Maxine (Dalhousie), Dorothy (Dalhousie), Merica (Nova Scotia) and his 2 brothers; Rundle and Carl (Niagara Falls, Ontario).

Predeceased by his parents; Henry and Dora Dunn (Eel River Crossing) and his 4 brothers; Ivan (Niagara Falls, Ontario), Albert (Calgary), Ernest (Toronto, Ontario) and Henry (Niagara Falls, Ontario).

Florence E Culligan

The death of Florence Elizabeth (Devereaux) Culligan, wife of George A. Culligan occurred peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the Dalhousie Nursing Home, Dalhousie, New Brunswick. Born in Jacquet River, New Brunswick, Florence was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Meade) Devereaux.

Florence graduated from Jacquet River School. She travelled to Montreal to work as a nanny before returning to Jacquet River to marry George. Florence was a hard working and competent partner in the Culligan family's farming and lumbering business; a loving wife, mother and grandmother; a generous and compassionate friend; and a solid, reliable contributor to her community. She was an award-winning bridge player and a life long member of the C.W.L. Florence was very passionate about all things Irish. Her great wit, sense of humour, hospitality, among many other fine qualities, will be missed by all who knew this remarkable woman.

Along with her husband, George, she is survived by her sons Reverend Gregory Culligan of Bathurst, N.B., Terrance Culligan of Ottawa, Ontario and her daughter, Bernadette Culligan, son-in-law Bill Chase, and grandchildren Liam and Georgia of Fredericton. Florence was predeceased by her sons George Jr. and Barry Culligan. Being the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her eight brothers': Sanford, Arthur, Arnold, Bernard, Urban, Frank, Lloyd & Alfred; and two sisters': Mary & Frances. The family is most grateful to the staff of the Dalhousie Nursing Home for their loving care and support during Florences residency there.

A mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday May 31/07 at St. John the Evangelist Church with interment in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Devereaux, Chester Devereaux, Lloyd Culligan, Frank Culligan, Dale Culligan & Ron Culligan. Crossbearer was David Culligan. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan Funeral Home, Black Point, N.B.

James William "Jim" Sullivan
(formerly of Halifax)

Passed away peacefully at his home in Oakville, Ontario, after a brief illness, on Friday, June 1, 2007, in his 68th year. Much beloved husband of Jane (Debe) and the late Mary. Loving father of Marc and his fiancée Tracy of Toronto, David and his wife Jodie of Halifax and step-father of Dan and his wife Christine of Bracebridge. Proud grandfather of Austin James (A.J.), Kaitlyn, Kristen and Andrew. Survived by his brother David Lyle and his wife Lin of Victoria. He will also be missed by the Andrew family. Friends were received at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hey 10 N. of QEW) on Sunday, June 3 and Monday, June 4. A funeral service was held in the chapel on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, with interment Springcreek Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Theresa Doucet

The death of Theresa (Gallant) Doucet of 568 Vanier Street Campbellton occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital after a short illness on May 26, 2007 at the age of 71. Raised in Atholville, she was the daughter of the late Anna and Raymond Gallant.

She is survived by her three daughters Johanne (Kevin) of Campbellton, Susan (Royce) of Campbellton and Kathy (Roger) of Bathurst, her two sons Raymond (Carolyn) of Halifax and Michael (Donna) of Montreal. She will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters Anne-Marie of Cross-Point and Ginette of Dalhousie. The funeral mass was held from Mary Queen Church Richardsville on Tuesday May 29th at 4pm. Father Morrison officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
