Eva Lee (Isaac) Jacques

Mrs Eva Lee (Isaac) Jacques of Listuguj, Quebec, passed away on June 11, 2008 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 67. She is survived by her husband Marcel (Sailor) Jacques, her sister Doreen (Isaac) Sark from Eel Ground and her four children; Phillip (Blee Jumbo) Isaac, Carl Jacques, Lloyd Jacques and Marilyn (Tootsie) Jacques, all from Listuguj. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Tamara, Vincent, Aaron, Marcy, Cheyenne, Mallory, Little Lloyd, Jaclyn and Brandon; and one great grandson, Julienne. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda. Funeral service were held at Ste. Anne's Church in Listuguj on Saturday, June 14, 2008. Pallbearers were: Bernard Isaac, Aurelle Isaac, Donnie Isaac, Lawrence Metallic, Lawrence (Junior) Vicaire and Mike Swasson.

Ada Hetherington

Ada Hetherington passed away on June 6, 2008 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital after a short illness. She was 86. Ada was predeceased by her husband, Lyman Hetherington. She will be missed by family and friends. Surviving is her son, Ken (Heather); grandchildren, Gwen, Darrin (Roberta), and Sheri (Paul); four great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Ada was born in January 1922, youngest daughter of the late Benjamin Babcock and the late Katherine Glover. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. The funeral was held at Maher's Funeral Chapel in Campbellton with internment at the Kempt Road Cemetery, Broadlands. Life long residents of Broadlands, Quebec, Ada and Lyman were well known in the community of Broadlands and surrounding area and were avid gardeners. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God." - Bible, Romans viii. 28.

Bryce Lawrence

Court Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on June 21, 2008 at the age of 44, Mr. Bryce Lawrence Court. Born in Campbellton on May 4, 1964, he was the son of the late Leonard Graham Court and the late Marion Gladys Malcolm. He leaves to mourn his common law wife Josephine Maurer of Atholville, his sons Jeffrey (Auran) Court of Edmonton, Alberta and Corey Court of Morinville, Alberta, his sisters Jean (Stuart) Maisey of Campbellton and Joyce (Carson) McDavid of Moncton, his brothers Garth (Gail) of Bathurst, Leonard of Cambridge, ON, Scott (Julie) of Red Deer, Alberta, Russell (Barbara) of Glen Levit, Michael (Suzanne) of Edson, Alberta and Ronald (Ava) of Tide Head. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Tuesday June 24th at 2pm. Reverend Arnold Godsoe officiating. Interment at the Escuminac United Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carson McDavid, Philippe Guitard, Ryan Court, Andrew Court, Terry Walker and Joey Vautour. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

BLANCHE K. BROWN

Blanche K. Brown, of Royal Court in Riverview, formerly of Bear Island, NB passed away with her family by her side on June 25th, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Born in Campbellton, NB on August 17th, 1917, she was the daughter of the late William A. Dobson and the late Edith (Anningson) Dobson. She was a member of the Bear Island United Baptist Church. Blanche was a member of the Bear Island Women's Institute where she served on several committees. She and her husband had a wonderful retirement traveling, including many years in Florida. Left to mourn her passing is daughter, Margo (Paul) Ellegood of Comox, BC; sons, Ronald (Helen) Brown of Riverview, NB; Donald (Joan) Brown of Chestermere, AB; Errol (Rena) Brown of AB; six grandchildren, Charly (Sarah), Jason (Hayley), Steven, Shannon (Thijs), Nicholas, Jacob (Jennifer); six great grandchildren, Keaton, Cooper, Haley, Logan, Hayden, and Karlie; brothers, Claude and Wallace; also by several nieces and nephews. Blanche was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Robert O. Brown (2000); sisters, Alta and Phyllis; brothers, Ralph and Hillson. Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview on Friday June 27th, 2008 from 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 28th, 2008 at 11:00am from the Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Cook officiating. Internment will follow at the Mactaquac Baptist Cemetery, Mactaquac, NB on Saturday June 28th, 2008 at 4:00pm. Bertha May Mitton

The death of Bertha May Mitton of Dalhousie Junction and formerly of Campbellton and Mann Settlement, Qc, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 18, 2008. She was seven days short of her 100th birthday. Born May 25, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Mina May (Irvine) and John A Harvey. She is survived by her children: John A. Harvey (Joyce), Mount Hope, Ont, Delbert (Barbara), ancaster, Ont, Gay Matheson, Dartmouth, NS and Ellen (Burgess) Edwards, Dalhousie Jct, and one sister, Kathleen Irvine, Montreal. she is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and sixteen great great grandchildre. Bert (as she prefered to be called) was an excellent home maker, true and staunch friend and neighbour. She was also a cook for several years at fishing clubs on the Restigouche River. Bert was a member of First Baptist Church havin been baptised at the age of 97 years. She was a life member of the E.C.W. She had been a member of the Ladies Orange Benevolent Association for over fifty years. she was a member of Imperial lodge #868, Flatlands, Rising Sun #1234, Dalhousie and Boyne Lodge #858, Moncton. She was an honourary member of R.W. Grand Lodge of N.B. and the M.W. Grand Lodge of Canada. Her funeral was held on her birthday at 1.30 p.m. from the First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Doug Phillips. Organist Harold Wilbur accompanied the church choir. Bruce Dickie sang . Jerry Woodworth sang . Honourary pallbearers were W.M.S. members Joan Lyons, Julie Hume, Betty Woodworth, and Joyce Young. Pallbearers were her grandson Mark Edwards, nephews Glenn Harvey and Robert Harvey, Jack Mann, don Harris and Denzil Craswell. Internment was in the Flatlands cemetary. A reception was held after the service, catered by the W. M.S.

Melvin Valdron 1922 - 2008

Melvin Valdron 1922 - 2008 Petit-Rocher, NB. Melvin Valdron of Petit Rocher passed away at his residence on June 18/2008 at the age of 86. He was the husband of (late) Yolande Frenette and the son of the (late) Joseph Valdron and the (late) Marguerite Ward. He is survived by three sons; Eugene from Montreal, Rodney (Pauline) from Madran and Mark (Nathalie) from Petit-Rocher, one brother, Austin (Gemma) Valdron from Dalhousie, two grand children; Jason and Tania and one niece, Rachel (Bernard Dobbin) from Petit-Rocher. He was predeceased by four brothers; Herman, Edwin, Arthur and Bernard and five sisters; Sadie, Marn, Edith, Eva and Mable. Funeral mass was held at St. Polycarpe Church in Petit-Rocher on Friday, June 20/2008. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Verret's Funeral Home, Bathurst.

Kimberly Barbara

Kimberly Barbara (nee Bennett) Passed away on June 19, 2008 in Rothesay, NB. She was the daughter of Albert and Barbara Bennett. She will always be deeply loved and missed by her husband Guy, and her children Julia 13, Thomas 9 and Brett 3. She is also survived by her brother Jason, sister Tracy and Grandmother Barbara Brophy. She will also be missed by her Father in-law Alex Barbara, her many aunts, uncles, cousins and her many, many wonderful friends. She will be remembered for her beautiful spirit that touched the lives of anyone lucky enough to have known her. Friends and family are invited to Brenan's Funeral Home on Paradise Row in Saint John, NB on Saturday, June 21 during afternoon and evening visitations. The funeral will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Rothesay, NB at 3 P.M. on Sunday, June 22, 2008. Family requests no flowers please. Donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
