Jeanne MacDonald

Jeanne MacDonald (née Boudreau) of Campbellton passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 18th, 2006 at the age of 64. Born in Sherbrooke, QC on April 3, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Boudreau and the late Sylvia Bedard. Beloved wife of Richard MacDonald, dear mother of, Janet (Jean-Marc) Dubeau of Ottawa, Ken of Montreal, Ron (Francine Canuel) of Quebec and Rick of Ottawa; sister of, Suzanne(Richard) Simoneau of Sept-Iles and Judy Shepherd of BC; grandchildren, David, Marie-Chritine, Julie, Stacy, Roy, Margaret, Thomas and Katrina and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass was held from the Our Lady of Snows Church, Campbellton, on June 21 at 11 a.m. with Father Roméo Morrison officiating. Pallbearers were Ken, Ron, David, Roy, Rick and Roy MacDonald. Gary Dey

The death of Gary Dey of Lorne, and formerly of Shawanaga, Ontario occured suddenly Friday, May 12, 2006, at his residence at the age of 57. Born in Shawanaga, Ontario, son of Peggy Danuck.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia, son Gary Dey of Whitby, daughter Robin Dey of Whitby, 3 grandchildren Brittany, Kyle, Katrina, and brother Bruce.

His funeral was held Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at St. Maria Goretti Church, Lorne, officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point. www.macmillansfuneralhome.ca

George Sydney Ryan

A Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated for G. Sydney Ryan of Nackawic, NB at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church, Nackawic on June 10, 2006 with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Interment took place in St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel Driscoll, John Ryan, Ron Berube, Jack Dempsey, Albert Luimes and Don Lavigne.

Syd was born at Campbellton on February 13, 1926, a son of the late George Andrew and Marguerite Cerise Eileen (Flanagan) Ryan. Before his retirement, he was employed at St. Anne-Nackawic Pulp Mill for 20 years. Syd was an avid hunter and an enthusiastic, successful gardener. He loved parties and music and enjoyed bringing together his many friends and cousins to celebrate his February birth date. Syd loved life. He attended the Irish Festival each July for twenty consecutive years, and maintained membership in the NB Irish Cultural Society. Syd enjoyed camping and hockey and followed closely his favorite teams. He passed away June 7, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB.

He is survived by his wife, Una A. (Benwell) Ryan; a sister, Helen Latza (George), Indiana; two nieces, Eileen Boetel (Brian), Indiana and Beverley Latza, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Flowers, Campbellton and Johanna McDonald, Montreal, Quebec and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, Syd was predeceased by an infant brother, Wilfred.

Lillian Doris Durette

Durette, Lillian Doris - Peacefully, at the Shelburne Residence, on Saturday, June 17, 2006, Doris Durette, dearly beloved wife of the late Louis. Dear mother of Elaine and her husband Paul Berthelot, Barry and his wife Judy, Richard and his wife Anne, and Robert and his wife Daphne. Loving grandmother of nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Resting at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2104 Kipling Ave., Etobicoke, from Monday, June 19, 2006, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, leaving the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. to St. Leonard's Church, 187 Conestoga Dr., Brampton, for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., followed by cremation. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
