Glenna M. Senechal

Passed away at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on June 22, 2007 at the age of 88, Mrs. Glenna M. Senechal. Born in Charlo on February 3, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James Thompson and the late Mabel Wood. She was a member of the CWL, Legion Auxiliary and the Golden Age Club.

She leaves to mourn her daughters Helen (Martin) Legacy of Dalhousie and Linda (Ernest) Barthe of Dalhousie, her sons Earl (Evelyn) of Charlo, Ronald (Brenda) of Dalhousie and James (June) of Pembroke, ON. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband George and daughter Patricia.

The funeral mass was held from St. John Bosco Church Dalhousie on Monday June 25th at 11am. Father William Arsenault officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons Marc and Keith Legacy, Andrew Barthe, Gilles Senechal, Paul Senechal and great-grandson Corey Legacy.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Howard Lyman Hamilton

The death of Howard Lyman Hamilton occurred at the Bathurst Hospital on June 4, 2007.

Born in Campbellton on March 4, 1922, he worked at the CNR before joining the South Alberta Regiment. Howard was a tank instructor and Commander and was captured in the city of Udem and imprisoned on his 23rd birthday. He spent time in Stalag X1B near Fallingbostel Germany and was freed by the British troops under General Montgomery in April 1945.

He leaves to mourn his wife Germaine (Lambert), sons Harry (Claudette), Donald (Denise). Daughters Bernice and Donna Boudreau (Pierre), grandson Eric and granddaughters Tiffany, Angela and Tonya. Sisters Frances (Winston) Abbott, Audrey (Roger) Lavigne, Eleanor (Josef) Kiss, Theresa Benwell. Brothers Robert (Jeannette) and Winston (Wendy).

He was predeceased by parents Elizabeth (Durette) and Clarence, sister Elsie and brothers Harold and Norman.

Internment was at the parish cemetery in Petit Rocher.

Isabel Malley

Bathurst - Mrs. Isabel Malley, 81, wife of Leo Malley, of Millhaven Court, Bathurst, passed away on Friday (June 15, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Cléophas and Josephine (Roy) LaPlante. Besides her husband, she is survived by: Five sons: George (Ginette Doiron) of Tracadie-Sheila, Leo Jr. (Marie Anne) of Campbellton, Roger of Pabineau Falls, NB, Michel and Wilfred (Blanche) both of Bathurst. One daughter: Suzanne Malley of Montreal, Que. Two brothers: Henry LaPlante (Gertrude) of Dundee, NB, Wilfred LaPlante (Helen) of Meredith, New Hampshire, USA. One sister: Edwina LaPlante of Campbellton, 8 Grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday morning (June 18, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. Burial was in the Mary Queen Cemetery, Campbellton.

Ouellette, Jean Marc (J.O.)

The passing of Jean-Marc Ouellette occurred June 19th at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Jean Marc was born on September 1st, 1965, in Notre- Dame Du Lac, QC and was raised in Campbellton, NB. He earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree (History) in 1987 and was conferred a Degree of Law in 1990 from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. Fluently bilingual, he was admitted to the Law Society of New Brunswick in 1991, and was a member York-Sunbury Law Society and the Canadian Bar Association. He was an Associate Lawyer at the Foster and Company Legal Firm.

Jean-Marc is survived by his loving wife, Robyn Plourde, father, Gerry “Red” Ouellette, mother, Lucille Beaulieu, sister, Monique (Rick) Williams and nieces, Laura and Sarah.

Jean-Marc was known for his ability to develop strong friendships. His love of sports was fulfilled through golf, hockey, soccer and cycling. He enjoyed movies and novels and was considered an amateur writer of scripts and books. He had a phenomenal sense of humour and took great pride in drawing laughter from others. His greatest passion was his wife, Robyn “Bubba” as he cherished every moment of their life together.

A funeral service will be held at McAdams Select Community Funeral Home Chapel in Fredericton, Saturday, June 23rd, 2007, at 3:00 pm. Visitation will take place from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Friday, June 22nd and on Saturday from 12:00 - 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Margaret Rose Levesque

The death of Margaret Rose Levesque, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Sunday, June17,2007 at the age of 92.Born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of the late Joe Daigle and Annie (Guitar).

She is survived by her son Francis (Barbara) of Fredericton and daughters Jeanette (Chester) Mazerolle of Archibald and Theresa (Charlie) Mazerolle of Noel Rd. She was pre-deceased by her husband Walter, daughter Rita (Joncas), brothers Alex and Willard and a sister Mary Duplessis.

Her funeral was held from St. Gabriel’s Church, Jacquet River Tuesday, June 19, 2007 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joey Jerome, Francis Duplessis, Clifford Joncas, David Mazerolle, Rodney Mazerolle and Christopher Mazerolle. Mary Opal Brown

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on June 20, 2007 at the age of 86, Mrs. Mary Opal Brown. Born in Dalhousie on July 31, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Savoy and the late Catherine Parker.

She leaves to mourn her sons Bruce (Joyce) of North Sydney, NS, Blair (Ella) of Halifax, NS and Brian (Laurie) of Darthmouth, NS. Also survived by 6 grandchildren Reese, Sara, John, Andrew, Kristin and Nigel. Predeceased by her husband Andrew Brown and her son Billy. The funeral mass was held from St. John Bosco Church Dalhousie on Saturday June 23rd at 11am. Father William Arsenault officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
