Ashlee Carrier

The death of Ashlee Carrier of Dalhousie occured at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Friday, July 11, 2008 at the age of 26. Born in Gravelhill, she is the daughter of Leonard Carrier and Valerie Ann (Hickey). Besides her parents, she is survived by her children Devon, Aliyah, Carly and Tyson as well as her brother Keith and grandparents Edgar and Lydia Carrier. She was predeceased by her grandparents Albert and Ida Hickey. Her funeral was held from St. Josephs Church, Nash Creek, Monday, July 14, 2008. Pallbearers were Randy, Nicky and Cortney Carrier, Calvert LaPointe, Terry Pictou and Gussy Anderson. 1924 - 2008

Peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care in Ottawa. Born at Charlo, New Brunswick. Predeceased by her parents, Leon and Opal Babin; and by sister, Bernice. Beloved wife of 58 years to Robert Chandler. Loving mother of Robert (Greta) and Ronald (Lorraine). Proud grandmother of Jason (Jennifer), Jonathan, Matthew and Eric. Dear sister of Albert (Audrey), Valmont (Mabel), Gilbert (Patricia), Lloyd (Marjory), Leonard (Yvette) all of Dalhousie NB and Hector (Eileen) of Sarnia ON, Jean (Donald) of Moncton NB, Aline (Louis) of Charlo NB, Marie of Dalhousie NB and Doreen of Sarnia ON. Many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was held Thursday, July 17, 2008. Don McGregor

Don McGregor of White Rock B.C. and formerly of Tide Head N.B. who passed away on July 04, 2008 in Burnaby B.C. at the age of 93. He is survived by his son Peter McGregor of Ottawa, and sister in law Nells McGregor, niece Ann Brierley and family of Burnaby B.C. and relatives in Alberta and Saskatchewan. He will be missed by his many friends in the area. He was predeceased by his wife Jean.

Everett McGarrigle

The death of Everett McGarrigle of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the age of 66. Born in Back Bay,NB. He was the son of the late James McGarrigle and the late Syritha (Leavitt). He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Yates); sons, Everett Jr. (Johanne) of Dalhousie, Toby (Pauline) of Toronto; and daughter, Kathy McCrindle of Dalhousie; as well as his grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Steven, Sandra, Ryan, Matthew; and greatgrandchildren, Melody and Aaron. Everett is also survived by his brothers, Gerald, Kenneth, Wesley; and sisters, Florence Leavitt, Doris Nason and Emma Maillet. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Mary Walsh, Linda Matheson and brothers, Lorne,James Jr. & William. At his request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Ginger Dewitt

Ginger Dewitt of Weaver passed away unexpectedly at the Grand Falls General Hospital on July 10, 2008. Born in Campbellton on January 3, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Jean (MacKinnon) Johnson. Ginger leaves behind her daughters Jean Ann DeWitt of Fredericton, Christine DeWitt of Brooklyn, NY, Anne Drost (Carl) of Fredericton; her grandchildren Harley and Benjamin Drost; her sister Ann Landry (David) of Cold Lake, AB; sisters-in-law Bessie MacDonald of Weaver, Opal Dewitt of Plaster Rock, Ruth Langley of Lower Sackville, NS, Janice Johnson of California; uncles Alexander MacMillan of Tide Head, Elmer Johnson of Alberta. She was predeceased by her husband James DeWitt and her brother Clifford "Mac" Johnson. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 2 pm from the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock. Mary Lilly Isaac Swasson

Passed away at the CLSC Malauze in Matapedia on July 7, 2008 at the age of 88, Mrs. Mary Lilly Isaac Swasson. Born in Listuguj, QC on May 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Isaac and the late Angelique Gedeon. Lilly was the last surviving member of the original Ajig family. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Melvina (Vina) and Delphine (Debbie); sons, Michael, Floyd and Ralph (Happy) of Listuguj. Also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph (Joe) Swasson; sons, Peter, Leonard, Ronald, Venner; daughter, Margaret (Maggie); grandsons, Perley, Scottie; and granddaughter, Rhonda Renée. The funeral mass was held from Ste Anne's Church Listuguj on Thursday July 10th at 3pm. Father Evariste Landry officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Syliss Swasson, Brian Caplin Sr., David Swasson, Bruce Metallic, Derik Swasson and nephew Eugene Isaac. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Gerald A. (Jerry) Miller

The death of Gerald A. (Jerry) Miller occurred on Saturday, December 01, 2007 at Campbellton Regional Hospital, in his 67th year. Jerry was the son of the late Arthur Miller and Jennie Tower (nee Milner) Miller. He is survived by his brother, Boyd Tower as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Roy; and sister, Marjorie (Tower) Marshall. A service in remembrance of Jerry will be held on Saturday, August 02, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Maher's Funeral Home, Victoria Street, Dalhousie, NB. All are welcome to attend. Interment will follow the service at Riverview Cemetery, New Mills, NB. Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Friday, June 20th, Shirley Holland (nee McCosh) at 87 years of age. Beloved wife to the late William Edwin Joseph Holland. Dear mother of Linda Oke (Thomas) of Peterborough, Susan Black (Monty) of Vancouver, and Michael Holland of the Canadian Forces based in Toronto. Loving grandmother of Avalon, Aaron and Andrew Oke and Charlotte and Isabelle Black. Sister of Arlene Welch (Ralph), Joyce Lutes (the late Rupert), Jacqueline Powell (the late Don) and Mary Lou Bouthiette (John). Interment was held on June 26 at St. Micheal's Church in Cobourg, Ontario The McCosh Family originally from Dalhousie, NB
