Conrad Richardson

Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Sunday, June 13, 2004, Conrad Richardson, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of the late Isabel. Loved father of James (Donna), Susan (James Simoni), Mary (Cam Meyers) and Michael (Lucy).

Loving grandfather of Melissa, David, Daniel, Laura, Elizabeth, Leeanne and Danielle. Dear brother of Elaine, Bernard, Patricia and Mary-Lee and special brother-in-law of Carole Richardson. Predeceased by his brothers Charles and Robert. Mr. Richardson was a retiree of Dofasco with over 32 years of service.

Visitation at the P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Avenue (between Fennell and Mohawk) was on Wednesday, June 16, 2004, with a Prayer Vigil at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass was held at Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church on Thursday, June 17, 2004. Cremation. Internment Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated by the family. The Richardson family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of I.C.U. West at Hamilton General Hospital for their kind care and support.

Kathleen (Murray) Duncan
February 23, 1911-died July 4, 2004

Predeceased by husband Eric S. Duncan in 1985. Survived by daughters Dawn (Norman) Davidson of Brights Grove, Ontario, and Phyllis (John) Chiviendacz of Cumberland, Ontario, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial and committal service to be held in September at Flatlands United Church.

Leona Grenier

The death of Leona Grenier of 265 Victoria St., Dalhousie, occurred at the St. Joseph Hospital on June 29, 2004, at the age of 89.

Leona was born in Dalhousie on June 6, 1915.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Ruby Ross of Courtney, B.C.; sons Ronald of Moncton and Robert of Scarborough, Ont.; her friend Joe Lawlor of Dalhousie; as well as six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Philip Grenier (1972).

The funeral was held at St. John the Baptist Church in Dalhousie on Friday, July 2, 2004, officiated by Father Doiron with burial in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Dalhousie.

William J. Couture

The death of Mr. William J. Couture of Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 1, 2004, at the age of 80.

Born in Bathurst, N.B., he was the son of the late Angelina Guitard and the late Regis Couture. William worked as a foreman with CNR.

He is survived by his wife Melinda (Legacy) Couture of Campbellton; four daughters Flora (Mike) Kelly of Campbellton, Linda Couture (Hollis) of Tide Head, Cathy (Rene) McGrath of Tide Head and Kelly Couture (Tom Berube) of Campbellton; three sons Allen (Brenda Wiseman) of Tide Head, Ronald (Anita Basque) of Campbellton and Darren (Janet LeBlanc) of Atholville; two sisters Alice (Gary) McCutcheon of Fredericton and Bella (Emile) Roy of Toronto, Ont.; five brothers Paul Sr. (Evelyn) of Toronto, Ont., Phil of Toronto, Ont., Alexander (Yvonne) of Fredericton, Romeo (Diane) of Toronto, Ont. and Jean-Paul (Marilyn) of Toronto, Ont.; six grandchildren Cindy, Timmy, Tammy, Kelly, Shelly and Christopher; six great grandchildren Melinda, Erica, Sarah, Brook, Brandon and Katie. Mr. Couture is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

William was predeceased by his parents, one sister Gertrude, one brother Lionel and one sister-in-law May.

The funeral service will be held today, Wednesday, July 7, 2004,at Savoie Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Father Culligan. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Savoie Funeral Chapel, Campbellton.
