Joseph Thomas Furlong
Passed away at the palliative unite of the Regional Hospital in Campbellton on June 28, 2007, at the age of 85, Mr. Joseph Thomas Furlong. Born in Dalhousie on November 24, 1921, he was the son of the late Thomas Furlong and the late Delima Court.
He will be sadly missed by his 2nd wife Lydia Lanteigne, his daughter Jean Ryan (Dale) of Moncton, his sons Ronnie (Germaine) of Lorne and Ralph (Debbie) of Dalhousie. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Florence, Ethel and Blanche, as well as several step children, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie (Firlotte) Furlong and son John.
The funeral mass was held from St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie on Monday, July 2nd at 11 a.m., with Father William Arsenault officiating. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Dalhousie.
Dr. Léonide J. Ouellette
Dalhousie - Passed away at the palliative unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on June 22, 2007 at the age of 80, Dr. Léonide J. Ouellette. Born in Drummond, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph V. Ouellette and the late Mémory St-Amand.
Besides his wife, Diana-Marie Lanteigne, he leaves to mourn his two daughters: Nicole (Bernard Juneau) Québec, Lucille (Jean-François Gagnon) from Montréal, his two loving grandchildren: Gabriel (13 years old), Alexis (8 years old), three sisters: Juliette (late Pat Beaulieu), Noëlla (late Anthelme Ouellette), Madeleine (late Leroy Kavanaugh). Predeceased by three sisters: Simonne (late Joseph Lévesque), Thérèse (late Roméo Lévesque), Rita, as well as three brothers: Father Edmond, Euclide (Jeannine Michaud) and Enoïl (Marie Anne Thériault). Also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be held from St. John Baptist Church Dalhousie on Saturday July 7th at 2pm. The remains will rest at Maher's Funeral Home, 421 Victoria Street Dalhousie, Friday July 6th from 2pm to 4pm, 7pm to 9pm and Saturday July 7th from 12:30pm until time of funeral.
Donations to the Terra Nova Center would be appreciated by the family.

Linda Durette
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on June 24, 2007 at the age of 76, Mrs. Linda Durette. Born in Campbellton on August 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Earlyn Fitzgerald and the late Mary Ross.
She leaves to mourn her husband Daniel, her daughters Joan Durette of Campbellton and Gerry (Stephen) Courty of Campbellton, her son Donnie (Jean) Durette of Campbellton, her sisters Vyra (Russel) Rice of Kahnawake, QC and Jeannie (John) Faye of Toronto, her brother Ray (Mary) Fitzgerald of Lachine, QC. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 1 brother Beverly, 4 sisters Marion, Audry, Doreen and Joan.
The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Wednesday June 27th at 11am. Father William Arsenault officiating. Interment at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Raymond (Buzzie) Wood
Raymond (Buzzie) Wood passed away May 30, 2007, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Campbellton on January 15, 1918, he was the son of William and Mabel (Hamilton) Wood.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Jean, daughter Susan Porter (Evie), stepsons Allan Alexander (Charline), Jim Alexander (Nancy), stepdaughter Ruth Luck (Brian), five grandaughters Tracey Porter, Erin Porter, Amy MacDonald, Kelly Wood and Carly Wood, step-grandchildren Ronnie Alexander, Ruth Brinkman, Bonnie Gray, Annie Alexander, Jennifer Cook, Holly Alexander, Annabelle Luck, Travis Luck and Thane Luck, brother Earl Wood and sister Kay O'Brien.
He was predeceased by his first wife Mona (Ramsay) and son Donald.
Funeral was from Knox Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, June 2, 2007, with Rev. Caleb Kim officiating. Pallbearers were Evie Porter, Allan Alexander, Brian Luck, Robert Allain, Dave Lefurgey and Gary Taylor.
