A. Jean (MacDonald) Cameron

The death of Jean (MacDonald) Cameron, RN, occured in Campbellton, NB, on September 2nd. She was buried on September 3rd in Thorburn, NS at a private family grave side service conducted by Rev. Jeff Lackie, minister of the Union Presbyterian Church in Thorburn.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Robert A. Cameron, parents Allister and Alice (Fraser) MacDonald, Oromocto, NB; her sons; Eric (Barb), Miramichi, NB; Ian (Kim), Scarborough, England; Bruce (Sandra), Campbellton, NB, Brian (Charlotte), Campbellton, NB; Ewen (Tammy), Saint John, NB; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Scott (Gill) Cameron, England; Brett (Ann) and Tess Cameron, Miramichi, NB; Andrew Cameron, England; Ross (Louise Lapierre) and Keisha, Elyssia Maelle, and Nayell Cameron, Campbellton NB; Keltie (Karl) and Haden Cheney, Dartmouth, NS; Erica (Mark) and Ava Furlotte, Bathurst, NB; Alexander Cameron, Campbellton NB; Robert Cameron (Saint John, NB); nieces and nephews.

Jean requested that no memorial contributions be given in her name.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home Campbellton.

Phyllis Ward

The death of Mrs Phyllis Ward, wife of the late Ronald Ward of Metepenagiag Mi'kmaq Nation (Red Bank, NB), mother of Joe, Jackie, Marlene, Gail, Eddie, Betty, Paddy Joe, Anita, Roger, Wayne and Pam occured peacefully at Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 4th, 2010 at the age of 85. Born in Listuguj, QC, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jane (O'Keefe) Metallic. Phyllis was a homemaker who devoted herself entirely to her family and was afflicted for many years with Alzheimer Disease.

Phyllis is survived by six daughters; Jackie Ward (Bill) of Bouctouche, NB, Marlene Ward (Gertrude) of Indian Island NB; Gail Barlow (Second Peter) of Indian Island, NB; Betty Ward of Metepenagiag NB; Anita Boyle (Ken) of South Nelson, NB; and Pam Ward (Rick) of Miramichi, NB and five sons; Joe Metallic of Worcester Mass; Eddie Ward of Curvention, NB; Patty Joe Ward (Tanya) of Metepenagiag, NB; Roger Ward (Amy) of Shubenacadie, NS; and Wayne Ward (Fulvia) of Miramichi, NB; 27 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis is survived by one sister Regina Simon of Elsipogtog, NB. Besides her parents and husband Ronald (1997) she is predeceased by 3 grandchildren, Hannah (1995), Wilder (1997) and Michael (2006); sisters; Lillian and Mary Ann, brothers; Ed Lou, Noel and Melvin.

Burial was celebrated from St Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank on Wednesday at 2 PM with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Burial followed in the Church Cemetery.

In Phyllis's memory, donation may be made to the NB Alzheimer Society or to a memorial of one's choice.

Eva May Harding (England)

Surrounded by her family, Eva May passed away peacefully in her 91st year on Friday September 3, 2010 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. She left us to join her beloved husband of 68 years, Girvan.

Born in Tabusintac, NB, she was the daughter of John A. England and Hilda (Leighton). Besides being a devoted wife and mother. Eva was the last charter member of the Pentecostal Church in Dalhousie, NB. Over the years, she was deeply involved in several departments of church ministry from teaching Sunday school to Women's Ministries and Senior Club. She impacted countless lives over the years with her volunteer work having been an active resident of Dalhousie since 1940.

Eva's hands were rarely idle as she was a talented craftswoman making beautiful quilts, embroidering and knitting.

Eva is survived by her five remaining children Brenda MacIntosh of Point La Nim NB, Marilyn MacIntosh of Tabusintac NB, Paul Harding of West Bank, BC, Shirlee Ama Thompson of Keswick, ON, Kevin Harding of Dalhousie NB, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Beside her husband she was predeceased by her son David harding of Fredericton NB.

Heartfelt thanks to the nurses of the Extra-Mural Hospital. Your dedication went above and beyond. Warmest thanks to ehe staff of the Campbellton REgional Hospital.

By her request there will be no service. In honour of her love for children, donations to the IWK Hospital would be graciously appreciated.

Interment at the Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac, NB.

Ruby Firlotte

The death of Ruby Firlotte of Black Point, wife of the late Lloyd Firlotte, occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the age of 72. Born in Point La Nim, she was the daughter of Pearl (Doucet).

Ruby is survived by her sons; Barry of Black Point and Shawn of Toronto, daughters Susan Firlotte of Bathurst, Penny Firlotte (Paul) of Bathurst, Shelley Firlotte (Nick) of Bradford, ON, Kim (Deborah ) of Black Point. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; Jamie, Trevor, Shilo and Jenny as well as her great granddaughter Cassidy.
