Robin Lee O'Neil

The death of Robin Lee O'Neal of Dalhousie Junction occurred in Dalhousie on July 8, 2004, at the age of 48.

Born on July 27, 1955, in Perth Andover, N.B., he was the son of Mark O'Neil and Betty Hitchcock. Robin worked as a stationary engineer with NB Power.

He is survived by his parents Mark and Betty of Grand Falls, N.B.; wife Debbie (Kelly) O'Neil of Dalhousie Junction; daughter Candace O'Neil of Edmonton, Alb.; son Jacob O'Neil of Edmonton, Alb.; sisters Lynne of Perth Andover, N.B. and Kelly of Grand Falls, N.B.; brothers Mark Jr. of Hartford, Connecticut, Darren of Fredericton, N.B. and Shannon of Tilly, N.B.

The funeral was held from St. Jon the Bosco Church in Dalhousie on July 12, 2004, officiated by Rev. T.G. Culligan. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Dalhousie.

Cora Donaldson

Cora Robertson Donaldson of Robinsonville, died June 21st, 2004 in Glen Cove, NY, at the age of 99 years and 9 months. She was born on September 11, 1904 in Robinsonville. Cora was the daughter of William L. Robertson and Jemima Mann Robertson of Robinsonville and Upsalquitch. She was the sister of the Late Alexander Robertson of Montreal. She was married to the late Ollie Donaldson of Glen Cove, NY and had three children: Late William, Edna, and Doreen. She is survived by her daughters, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and cousins Sara Mann of Tide Head and Mae Firth of Robinsonville. Her Grandparents were Alexander and Margaret Robertson, early settlers of Robinsonville. Her Great Grandfather was John Robertson, one of the early pioneers of this area who settled in Dee Side Quebec, and is buried in Old Atholville Cemetery. Her Great Great Great Grandfather was Johann Albrect Liezer one of the first German settlers of Halifax who came over in 1752 on the Pearl. She had trained as a nurse in Dunn Hospital, Bathurst before coming to the states. She came many times to visit and stay the summers in Robinsonville and Upsalquitch with her family and cousins. Robert Glenford Mann "Bobby"

The death of ROBERT GLENFORD MANN of Oak Bay, QC occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Monday, May 17, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Oak Bay on January 18, 1934, he was the second youngest son of the late Arthur William and Mabel Janet (Hunter) Mann.

Robert is survived by his wife Patricia Jean (Keays) Mann, formerly of Pointe a La Garde, QC, son: David (Brandi Doucet), Escuminac, QC, daughters: Linda Ripley (John), Round Rock, Texas, Sandra Lagacé (Roland), McLeod, NB, and foster daughter Tammy LeBReton (Rino), Moncton, NB. Grandchildren: Emily and Jack Ripley, Aaron Letourneau, Taylor Mann, Aaron Doucet, Emily and Shandy LeBreton. Sisters: Thelma Day, Dowling, ON, Dorothy LePoidvin, Campbellton, NB, Helen Currier, Amesbury, MA, Viola Gaudin, Kirkland, QC, Winnifred Anderson (Melvin), Puyallup, Washington, Adele Mailloux, Point a La Croix, Qc. Brothers: Beverly, Hanmer, ON and Lorne (Lois), Campbellton, NB.

He was predeceased by his parents, his oldest brother Kenneth, and his youngest sister Patricia (infant). He had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bobby (as he was known to all who knew him) will be greatly missed from the family circle and his many good friends.

The Celebration of Life Service was held at the Escuminac United Church on Thursday, May 20, 2004, officiated by Mr. Frederick Mundle. Organist was Mrs. Linda Hawes. Hymns sung were, "Just As I Am," "The Lord Is My Shepherd," "How Great Thou Art" and the anthem by the choir was "Amazing Grace." Accompanying the organist was Ms. Lisa Mosher on guitar. The eulogy was given by his wife, Patricia and "Reflections" by long time friend, Mr. Byron Edwards.

Pallbearers were Rick Myles, Quentin Mann, Mike Mann, Terry Richardson, Roland Lagacé, and Ritchie Price. Honorary pallbearers were Reid Chamberlain, Francis LePoidvin, Owen Mailloux, Lanny Myles, George Myles, Lee Cunningham, Gerald Kerr, Murray LePoidvin, Jack Gregoire, George Elias, Ralph Edwards, Bernie O'Neil, Amisey Main, Bill Foran, Cecil LePoidvin and Harvey Moores.

Burial was in Brookside Cemetery, Pointe a la Garde, Qc. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton, NB.
