Obituaries

Wilfred Poirier

The death of Wilfred Poirier of 448 Chaleur St., Charlo, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 16, 2005, at the age of 75.

Born in Charlo on August 10, 1929, he was the son of the late James Poirier and the late Melanie Mercier.

Surviving is his wife Irene Burris Poirier, sons William R. (Diane) Poirier of Dalhousie, Allan (Francine) Poirier of Edmundston, Daniel Poirier of Charlo, Ernest (Patsy) Poirier of Balmoral, Marcel Poirier of Dalhousie and Wayne (Camella) Poirier of Charlo, sisters Elizabeth LePage of Rockland, Ontario, Marie Guitard and Shirley Guitard both of Dalhousie. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The funeral was held from Saint Francis Xavier Church in Charlo on July 19, 2005, officiated by Rev. Doiron, with interment in Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery in Charlo.

Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Balmoral.

Elizabeth Ann Belliveau (nee Parker)

The death of Elizabeth Ann Belliveau (nee Parker), occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex, N.B. on July 17, 2005, at the age of 67.

Born in Campbellton on September 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Parker and the late Cecile Furlotte.

Surviving are her daughters Bonnie (Richard) MacKenzie of Hartville, P.E.I., Donna (Ian) Colburne of Truro, N.S., Vickie (Arthur) Power of Campbellton, MCpl Carrie (Yves) Roy of Sackville, N.S. and Nina (Allen) Tough of Ottawa, Ont., sons Mark (Ethel) Belliveau of Sussex, N.B. and Neil Belliveau of Moncton, N.B., sisters Mary Lou Clark of Miramchi and Suzanne White of Tide Head, and brother Michael Parker of Glen Levit. Also surviving are thirteen loving grandchildren and one great grandson. Predeceasing her was her husband Auley, her parents Eugene and Cecile, and one brother Donald.

The funeral was held from Mary Queen's Church in Richardsville on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, officiated by Father Morrison, with interment in the parish cemetery in McLeods.

Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Gerard (Gerry) Plourde

The death of Mr. J. Gerard (Gerry) Plourde of Victoria Street in Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 17, 2005 at the age of 71.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Bernard Plourde and the late Marie Babin. Gerry was retired from Bowater mill, were he worked as a finisher. He was also a naval veteran.

Surviving is his wife Anne Bourque Plourde, daughters Carol (Leo) Doiron of Shediac, N.B. and Julie (Burt) Empey of Burlington, Ont., step-daughter Tracey Plourde of Dalhousie, N.B., sons Marc Plourde of Ottawa, Ont. and Bernard Plourde (Jill Olscamp) of Halifax, N.S., step-son Stephen Plourde of Dalhousie, N.B., sisters Emelie (Gabriel) Temmermen, Marguerite (Treffle) LeClair, Annette (Leonard) LeClair, Yvonne (Denis) Drapeau, Solange (Clair) Paquet and Rose-Anna Plourde, brothers Jean (Louise) Plourde and Bobby (Robert) Plourde (Gloria), brother-in-law Jean (Laura) Bourque and sister-in-law Gail (Jacques) Hebert.

The funeral was held from St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie on July 23, 2005, officiated by Rev. T.G. Culligan.

Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
