Bobbie Jo Labillois
Bobbie Jo Labillois Bobbie Jo Labillois passed away at the Halifax Infirmary Hospital on Monday July 21, 2008 at the age of 20. Born on August 17, 1987 she was the daughter of Luke and Judith LaBillois. She is survived by her parents; her sisters, Tiffanie and Jasmine; grand-mother, Margaret Labillois; grand-father, Victor Pictou; god-parents, Edgar & Coleen Gauvin; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Mass was at St. John Bosco Church Friday July 25, at 11am. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher`s Funeral Home Dalhousie.
Clayton Carrier
The death of Clayton Carrier of Jacquet River occurred suddenly at his residence on Tuesday,July 15,2008 at the age of 48. Born in Sunnyside,he was the son of Beverly(Loubert) & the late Raymond Carrier. He is survived by his mother, Beverly; brothers, Terry (Tara) of Sunnyside, Sherman of Sunnyside; sisters, Patsy Godine (Herby) of Vaudreuil, Quebec, Paulin Carrier (Dan) of Thetford, ON, Rose-Marie Chamberlain (Ricky) of Cambridge ON, & Peggy Carrier(Patrick) of Jacquet River. His funeral was held from St. Gabriels Church,Jacquet River Tuesday July 22, 2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish Cemetery. 1960-2008
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 21, 2008, wife of Edgar Frenette. Nicole was the daughter of Wallace & Rejeanne Blanchard of Dalhousie. She will be sadly missed by husband, Edgar of Dalhousie, daughter Melanie (Guillaume Savoie) of Gatineau, QC, son Eric (Cathy Montgomery) of Charlo, NB parents of Dalhousie, NB and brother Gilles(Louise Audet) of Charlo, NB nephew Mathieu and niece Annick. A funeral mass was held from St. John the Baptist Church Dalhousie on July 24th at 11am. Father Rejean Landry officiating, with internment in parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher`s Funeral Home Dalhousie.
Margaret (Peggy) Hamilton
The death of Peggy Hamilton of Charlo, occurred suddenly in Ottawa on July 17th at the age of 83. Born in Nash Creek, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Black & Rita (Hamilton). She was a dedicated member of Zion's Womens Group and a long standing member of the Church Choir. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved her family. She spent the last few years travelling between NB and Ont. enjoying the company of friends and family. Peggy is survived by her children, Gloria MacLean (Donald) of Charlo, Barbara Hughes (Wayne) of Smith Falls, Ont, Harvey (Theresa) of Blackland, Joan Turnbull of Ottawa, Elva LaPointe (Charles) of Charlo; twelve grandchildren & eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Harvey,Gordon & Donald; as well as her sisters, Helen Black & Ruby Searle. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Wilson; sons, Gary & Brian; and a sister, Nancy Her funeral was held from Zion United Church, New Mills, Wednesday, July 23, 2008 officiated by Rev. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses fils; Richard (Lorette) Heppell de Charlo, Jacques (Adrienne) Heppell de Dalhousie, Daniel (Annie) Heppell de Montréal, Gilles (Lynn) Heppell de St-Jean N.B. et Ronald (Marion) Heppell de Charlo. Elle laisse aussi douze petits-enfants et deux arrières petits- enfants. Frères et soeurs, Marion (Lucien) Fournier de Fort Kent Maine, Dolly épouse de Normand Morin de Bangor Maine, Lilianne (Bruno) Theriault de Moncton, Herault (Doris) Morin de Dalhousie, Medeley (Marilyne) Morin de Boucherville Que., Robert (Suzanne) Morin de Dalhousie, Claude (Diane) Morin de Charlo, Ronald (Gail) Morin de Dalhousie, Paul (Linda) Morin de Charlo et Marielle (Jack) Guitard de Dalhousie. Prédécédée dans la tombe par son fils Normand Heppell, ainsi que ses frères Patrice et Normand Morin et de sa soeur Beatrice. Les funérailles seront célébres à l'Église St- François Xavier de Charlo, mercredi le 23 juillet 2008 à 11 heures. Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Dalhousie.
Opal Annabella Irvine
The death of Opal Irvine occurred on Tuesday, 22 July 2008 at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia, Ontario in her 95th year. Opal was born 23 January 1914 in New Carlisle, Bonaventure County, P.Q., the eldest daughter of the late Francis Burns Smith and the late Mary Jane Chatterton, of New Carlisle. A long-time resident of Mann Settlement, P.Q. and Campbellton, N.B., she relocated to Toronto in 1967, a few years after the death of her husband, the late Earle Irvine Sr. and lived there until relocating to Sarnia, ON in 1991. She is survived by her sons, Earle Jr. (Dorothy) of Edmonton, AB and Daniel, of Sarnia, ON; daughters, Irma (Malcolm) McColl, of Strathroy, ON and Brenda, of Toronto, ON; four grandsons, Glenn (Brenda) Irvine, of Dauphin, MB and Stephen (Joan) Irvine, of Halifax, N.S., Kris (Corinne) Thompson, of Toronto, ON; three granddaughters, Wendy Chetney of Baltimore, Maryland, Lisa (Paul) Fulham, of Jordan River, BC and Kimberley Giardino, of Munster, ON; five great grandsons, Sean Irvine and Luke Irvine, of Halifax, N.S., Justin Chetney, of Newport News, Virginia, Paul Fulham Jr., of Jordan River, B.C., Jason Giardino, of Mississauga, ON; and six great granddaughters, Jocelyn Irvine, Leanna Irvine and Emily Irvine, of Dauphin, MB and Julia Irvine, of Halifax, N.S., Kari Chetney of Newport News, Virginia and Jennifer Giardino, of Milton, ON; She is also survived by one sister, Avis Smith, of Greenfield Park, P.Q.; and by six nephews, Charles Smith, Craig Smith, Ross Smith, Darryl Smith, Richard Smith and Ronald Smith; and one niece, Starr Sinclair. In addition to her husband, Earle Sr. (Dec 1962), she was predeceased by her eldest daughter, Carolle Roy (Kenneth) of Sarnia, ON (June 2005); sister, Mildred Flowers, of Greenfield Park, P.Q. (Apr 2005); brothers, Ross Smith (Jan 1984) of New Carlisle, P.Q. and Bernard Smith (Aug 2000), of Brossard and Lake Louisa, P.Q. A grandson, Kerry Thompson, of Vancouver, BC also predeceased her in October 2004. A memorial service will be held at a later date with family members. Bruce Johnson
1942-2008
Michael Robert "Bruce" Johnson of Riverview, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the age of 66. He was the son of the late Michael and Laura (Smith) Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Holly; daughter, Lynn (Tim); sons, Gordon (Tina) and Scott (Lisa); loving grandchildren, Robert, Danielle, Eric, Mikael and Emma; brothers, Fred, Charlie and Burns; sisters, Alice, Sylvia, Doris, Joyce, Ruth and Edith; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Bruce will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his wonderful sense of humour and love of life. At his request, no visitation or service will be held. There will be a "Toast to Bruce" at Saxby's Pub in Riverview, NB from 2pm to 5pm on Friday, July 25, 2008. Bruce's family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Bathurst Hospital, Dialysis Unit, as well as the staff at the Oncology Department of the Dr. Georges L. Joseph Carl Isaac
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on June 15, 2008 at the age of 42, Mr. Joseph Carl Isaac. Born in Campbellton on May 21, 1966, he was the son of the late Leonard Isaac Sr. and the late Josephine Metallic. He was a construction labourer for 24 years. He leaves to mourn seven sisters and six brothers. Predeceased by two sisters, Agatha and Aganus Isaac; two brothers, Leonard Isaac Jr. and Mervin Isaac. The funeral mass was held from Ste Anne's Church Listuguj on Thursday June 19th at 3pm. Father Evariste Landry officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Reggie Isaac, Bernard Isaac, Manuel Isaac, Eugene Isaac, Donald Isaac and Daniel Caplain. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
William R. McGovern
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 6, 2008 at the age of 79, Mr. William R. McGovern. Born in Saint John, NB on March 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Richard Cleveland (step-father) and the late Agnes A. McGovern. He leaves to mourn his wife, Albina Ouellette; his step-son, Clarence Grenier of Montreal; his sister, Ms. Joyce E. Moores of Glencoe, NB; his brother, Gerald J. Cleveland of Robinsonville, NB. Also survived by one niece, Janice Smith; and three nephews, Richie Cleveland, Ronald Moores, Lawrence Moores. The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Lourdes Church Atholville on Wednesday July 9th at 2pm. Father Roméo Morrison officiating. Interment at the Our Lady of Snows Cemetery in Campbellton. Gertrude Roy-Bujold
1910-2008
Her radiant joy came from her love for God and for her fellow human beings. This summer as the famed shine of St-Anne-de-Beaupré, Quebec prepares to celebrate its 350 anniversary of its birth: Gertrude Roy-Bujold; one of its most fervent pilgrims did bid us "Adieu'' and was to join that heavenly body of the august select, having been abundantly blessed on her earthy pilgrim trek with a keen mind and a loving heart. Her passing on April 14, 2008 touched many hearts. Gaspesian by birth, she was a daughter of the late Louis Roy and the late Malvina (née Berthelot) Roy; wife of the late Alex Bujold, loving mother of Gilles Bujold (Eva) of Garson Ontario; Guy Bujold (Jane Coutts) of Ottawa and Jean-Yves Bujold of Coniston Ont. She was the last surviving members of her immediate family. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in her home parish of Notre-Dame-de-Merci, Coniston Ont. (with internment in that parish cemetery) other commemorative masses were celebrated in her native parish of Nouvelle, Quebec.
Shirley Elizabeth Holland

Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Friday, June 20th, Shirley Holland (nee McCosh) at 87 years of age. Beloved wife to the late William Edwin Joseph Holland. Dear mother of Linda Oke (Thomas) of Peterborough, Susan Black (Monty) of Vancouver, and Michael Holland of the Canadian Forces based in Toronto. Loving grandmother of Avalon, Aaron and Andrew Oke and Charlotte and Isabelle Black. Sister of Arlene Welch (Ralph), Joyce Lutes (the late Rupert), Jacqueline Powell (the late Don) and Mary Lou Bouthiette (John). Interment was held on June 26 at St. Micheal's Church in Cobourg, Ontario The McCosh Family was originally from Dalhousie, NB
Earl Joseph Vienneau
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 12, 2008 at the age of 88, Mr. Earl Joseph Vienneau. Born in Campbellton on August 3, 1919, he was the son of the late Joseph Vienneau and the late Mary Petrie. He was a veteran of WWII in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He leaves to mourn his daughters, Nikki (Tom) of Fredericton, Paulette of PEI and Roberta (Richard) of Montreal; his sisters, Laurine of Victoria, BC and Theresa (Guy) Lapointe of Dalhousie; his brothers, Bob (Virginia) of Toronto and Ralph of Toronto. Also survived by grandson, Darryl (Sharon) of Victoria, BC; great-granddaughter, Alysha of Victoria; granddaughter, Donna (Paul) of Sudbury, ON; many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be held from St. Anthony's Church Glen Levit on Wednesday August 6th at 11am. Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Interment at the parish Cemetery following the mass. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
