Leo Paulin
Leo Paulin, aged 70, passed away July 2, in Bridgewater, N.S. Son of the late Albert Paulin and Helma Holmes. Was married to Patricia Roy (Leon & Ernestine). They had three children. Survived by partner Donna; two daughter's Dede Whynot (Danny), Tammy Paulin of Auburndale, N.S, son Wayne (Cindy) of Florida; four grandchildren Christopher of Edmonton, Travis, Jade & Destiny of Auburndale, N.S; three brothers Francis, Ray (Anne) of Toronto and Albert (Barbara) of North Carolina; sister Theresa Dubreuil of Toronto; sister-in-law Marie (Bob) of Florida. He was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Arthur and sister Delea.
Romeo Martin
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 23, 2009 at the age of 81, Mr. Romeo Martin. Born in Campbellton on June 5, 1928, he was the son of the late George Martin and the late Elizabeth Robichaud. He leaves to mourn his common law wife Dorothy Sewell; his sons George Martin, Gerry Martin, Alain Michaud, Elmer Joseph and Pete Joseph; his sister Theresa Martin Thibedaue; his brother Guy Martin. Also survived by his grandchildren George Damien Martin, Brock Martin, Cole Mitchell (Martin) and Kyliegh Roy Martin. The funeral mass was held from Ste Anne Church Listuguj on Monday July 27th at 2pm. Father Evariste Landry officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ricky Condo, Dean Vicaire, Maurice Brisk and Winston Barnaby. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Marion Jean (Mooers) Ward
Marion Jean Ward (nee Mooers) passed away peacefully in Halifax, NS on July 18th, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Aubrey, and their children Tim, Tony, Peggy and Steve (of Calgary, Saint John, Mississauga and Brentwood Bay). She is also survived by two sisters Doris (Bob) and Maxine (of Scarborough ON and Glens Falls NY), and had one brother Hector (now deceased). Marion was born in Campbellton, NB on February 10th, 1933 to Samuel and Flora Mooers (nee Goss). She spent most of her youth and early married life in the Maritimes, finally in Fredericton where her children began their schooling. Then, in 1968 she moved with her family to Alberta, and for 30 years she made Calgary her home. During that time she took great pleasure in her work with Sears Canada and then with the Government of Canada. She and Aubrey retired to Halifax in 1998 where she passed much of her time preparing for a favorite pastime: taking Caribbean cruises with her family. Her favorite destination was a tiny white-sand island in the Bahamas known as "Half Moon Cay". Marion's ashes will be interred in The Hermitage Cemetery in Fredericton, NB. She was very much loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
