Maida Allison Grenier

Lovingly and with fond memories we announce that on August 31, 2010 Mrs. Maida Grenier (nee Eide) of Campbellton passed away at the age of 82.

Maida is survived by her brother-in-law Henry Simonson of Edmonton, her sister-in-law Sheilah Grenier of Cape Breton Island, several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

She was predeceased by her parents Lauritz and Louise Eide of Toronto, her husband Edward "Doonie" Grenier of Campbellton, and her sister Marguerite Simonson of Edmonton.

At Maida's request, her ashes will be interred beside those of her husband at a private family service conducted by Rev. Cheryl MacDonald at the Rural Cemetery in Campbellton.

Albert Maltais

Albert Maltais passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the St Joseph Palliative Care centre in Dalhousie on September 10, 2010. Born in Charlo January 21, 1925 he was the son of the late Fidele Maltais and Stella Lavallee.

He leaves behind to mourn his wife Edna (Furlotte) Maltais, three daughters Judy of Halifax, Annie (Dede) Desrosiers of Balmoral, Brenda (Everett) Martin of Eel River Bar First Nation and a son Billy of Toronto, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves behind three brothers Henri of Eel River Crossing, Joseph of Dalhousie and Robert of Hamilton, Ont., four sisters Emilienne Clevette of Val D'Amour, Ida Theriault of Eel River Crossing, Therese Northrup of Moncton and Marilda Smith of Dalhousie.

In addition to his parents Albert was predeceased by four sisters Evangeline, Albina, Evangeline and Marie Anne (Joncas) and three brothers Gerald, Ernest and Alphonse.

Mr Maltais was a veteran of WW2 and a member of the Chevaliers de Colomb 4th degree.

His body was laid to rest at Maher's Funeral Home with services held on Monday September 13, at 4 PM at the Holy Trinity Church Eel River Crossing.

Pallbearers; Jimmy Maltais, Fidele Maltais, Lionel Maltais, Gerald Maltais, Eugene Joncas and Julien Theriault all nephews.

Donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Lung Foundation.

The Maltais would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Palliative Centre of Campbellton and Dalhousie for their exceptional service and care while Albert was in their care.

Irene McLean

The death of Irene McLean of Richardsville, NB, wife of the late Harry McLean occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 10, 2010 at the age of 97.

Irene is survived by her daughters Lena, Della and Jeanne of Richardsville. Also suvived by her grandchildren Louis McLean (Jolaine) of Dieppe, NB and Mary Jane Cyr (Roger) of Campbellton, great-grandchildren Jessica, Sabrina, Taylor and Jacob.

Predeceased by her son Maurice McLean of Campbellton

The funeral mass was held from Mary Queen Church Richardsville on Monday September 13 at 2 PM, Father Claude Benoit officiating. Interment at Our Lady of Snows Cemetery.
