Obituaries

Eldon "Dick" Parker

The death of Eldon "Dick" Parker of Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 28, 2005, at the age of 80, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on April 14, 1925, to the late Richard and Alma Parker.

Dick was well known in the community having worked for the Lounsbury Co. for 40 years. He served on the board of directors of this company prior to his retirement in 1983. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Louis Lane Seniors Club and former member of the U.C.T.

The deceased is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rena Bujold, and two children Carmelynn (Charles) Greene of New Richmond, QC and Allan (Lucille Lirette) of Dieppe, NB. Four grandchildren, Sean (Meghan) Greene, Ryan Greene, Lisa Parker and Jamie Parker, his brothers and sisters: Eileen (Reggie) Law of Campbellton, Georgette Doiron of Campbellton, Georgina Levesque of Campbellton, George (Bertha) Parker of Campbellton, Clarence (Leona) Parker of Moncton, Maurice (Anne) Parker of Campbellton, Mike (Jackie) Parker of Cornwall, ON, Shirley (Ivan) Bois of Windsor, ON, and Dorothy (Nick) Tornosky of Orillia, ON.

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother James and one sister Estherine.

The funeral was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton, on August 1, 2005, officiated by Reverend Father Gregory Culligan with interment in the parish cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Leo LeBlanc, Pat Perron, Nick LeBlanc, Art Bujold, Roger Santerre and Tom McBrearty. Active Pallbearers were grandsons Sean Greene, Ryan Greene, Jamie Parker and nephews Roger Poirier, Eugene (Gino) Levesque and Ronnie Parker. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Luc Corriveau

The death of Luc Corriveau of Tide Head, occurred in St. Alexis de Matapedia, Quebec, on July 20, 2005, at the age of 47.

Born in Campbellton on July 17, 1958, he was the son of Roland Corriveau and Viola Roy. Luc was employed with the City of Campbellton.

Surviving is his wife Diane Corriveau (nee Bernard), parents Roland and Viola Corriveau, daughter Chantal Corriveau, son Rejean Corriveau, sisters Lise Dahler from British Columbia and Lynne Savoie, brothers Robert of Grand Falls, Gilles and Claude. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Emilie, Alexandre, Michele, Daniel, Mandy, Emma, Francois, Crystal, Michael, Bradley, Francois and Bruno, brothers-in-law Nick Dahler, Marc Savoie, Georges Bernard and Claude Bernard and sisters-in-law Florence Theriault, April Belliveau and Kathy DesRoches.

Predeceasing him were two brothers Patrick and Donald.

The funeral was held from Notre Dame des Neiges Church in Campbellton on Friday, July 29, 2005, officiated by Father Morrison, with interment in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Vivian Margaret (Sheridan) Cooling

The death of Vivian Margaret (Sheridan) Cooling of 13519 Evergreen Road, Dawsonville, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 22, 2005, at the age of 71.

Born in Toronto, Ontario on December 19, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Jack Sheridan and the late Vivian Annie Bell. She enjoyed singing, dancing, collecting dolls, cake decorating and knitting.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Allen Clifford Cooling of Dawsonville, daughters Darlene (Garth) Firth of Athabasca, Alberta and Sharon (Jacques) LaMontagne of Atholville, son Charles Allen Cooling of Tide Head, sisters Dianne (Robert) Sweet of Bracebridge, Ontario and Ann (Jacques) Vallée of Penetanguishene, Ontario, brothers Richard Sheridan of British Columbia, Dean (Jeanette) Sheridan of Ontario and Jerry (Lucille) Sheridan of Ontario. Also surviving are five grandchildren Morgan, Vincent, Calvin, Rachelle and Mackenzie, as well as 18 nieces and 19 nephews.

Predeceasing was her father Jack Sheridan, mother Vivian Annie (Bell) Sheridan, brothers David Sheridan, John Sheridan, Michael Sheridan and Jimmy Sheridan.

The funeral was held from St. Anthony's Church in Glen Levit on July 25, 2005, officiated by Father Greg Culligan, with interment in the Dawsonville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lynn Boulay, Lorraine Main, Janice Mann, Cathy Morrison, Deanna Morrison, Marylin Murray and Lisa Thomas. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
