Eva Mary Millis

At "The Village" Nursing Home, Campbellton, passed away on July 30, at the age of 82, Mrs. Eva Mary Millis, wife of the late Mr. Walter Lloyd Millis.

Born in Bristol, Connecticut, USA on January 29th, 1924, she is the daughter of the late George Hachey and the late Esther Doucet. She is survived by her daughters: Irene (Fernand) Levesque, McLeods, Jacqueline Millis, Campbellton, Ann Millis, Toronto; her sons: George Millis, Montreal, John Millis, Campbellton, Terry Millis, Toronto, Donald Millis, Campbellton; her sisters: Jacqueline (late Louis) Caissey, Campbellton, Adeline (late Ted) Mills, Toronto; also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Walter, daughter, Linda, sister Donia, brothers, Edward, Ralph, John, Edgar and Lionel. The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton, on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006 at 2pm. Father Bill Arseneau officiating. Interment in the St. Thomas parish cemetery. Pallbearers:George Millis, Mark Chiasson, John Millis, Fernand Levesque, Donald Millis, Wayne Thomas.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Grace Elizabeth Row

Grace Elizabeth Row (born Bourdage) embarked on her final journey on July 7th, 2006. After a valiant fight with cancer at the York Regional Hospital in Newmarket Ont.

Born on February 18, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Martin Bourdage who died March 5th, 2006 and the late Geraldine Godin. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, George and beloved son Kyle, her grieving siblings: Hugette Laviolette, Claudette Rhindess, Yvette Garvie, Ginette Dupuis and brother Danny Bourdage, paternal aunts Victoria Pardiac, Alice Vaillancourt, Lorraine Cavanaugh, Aline Boudreau, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Frankie in 1973. She graduated as RNA at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in 1962 and never stopped learning and training moving on to the VON home care services in NewMarket and then to the Saint Elizabeth Home care services until last September. Her funeral was attended by many at the Elizabeth Seaton Catholique church of NewMarket where she was a member. The eulogy was presented by Mrs. Susan Lee Morgan the chaplin at Saint Liz also an honor guard of 30 of her co-workers and friends nurses accompanied the casket to the hearse.

Following cremation her remains will rest with her parents and brother in the St. John Baptist cemetery in Dalhousie.

Jack Bernard Danks
1937 - 2006

On July 20, 2006 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, passed away at the age of 68, Mr. Jack Bernard Danks, of Charlo. Born in Dalhousie on September 23, 1937, he is the son of the late Richard Danks and the late Mary Daley. Former employee to NBIP. He is survived by his sons: Jim, Chilliwake, BC, Jay, Quispamsis, John Frenette, New Mills; daughter: Judy Danks, Dalhousie; sisters: Patsy Barrett, Nova Scotia, Carol (Louis McGraw), Dalhousie, Sharon (Arthur) Winton, Archibald Settlement and one brother: Billy (Betty Ann), Dalhousie. The funeral mass was held from St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, on Monday, July 24 at 11am. Father Bill Arseneau officiating. Interment in the St. John Bosco Parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Margaret Firth
1910-2006

At the Campbellton Village Nursing Home and formerly of Squaw Cap, N.B., on July 26, 2006, at the age of 95, passed away Mrs. Margaret Firth, wife of the late Orville Firth.

Born in Dawsonville, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Dumas and the late John Martin. She will be sadly missed by her daughter: Margaret McInnis (Ron) of Huntsville, Ont., her sons: Burns Firth (Oval) of Lindsay, Ont., Martin Firth (Carol) of Toronto, Ont. and Herman Firth (late Linda) of Campbellton. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren nieces, nephews and friends, will also miss her. Her husband, Orville James Firth, her parents, her sons: Wilson & Basil, and 4 infant children predeceased her. The funeral was held from Savoie Funeral Chapel, Campbellton on July 29, 2006, officiated by Rev. Olive Ann Archibald with interment in the Robinsonville Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Steven Firth, Barry Firth, Steven Chandler, William Martin, Aubrey Firth, Ron McInnis, Jack Firth and Marstin Martin. The honorary pallbearers were Doug Murray, Baden Firth, Bud Thomas and Danny Firth. Mrs. Firth was a member of the Robinsonville Golden Age Club. Martha Eunice Doucet

The death of Martha Eunice Doucet of Petit Rocher, wife of the late Simon Doucet, occurred suddenly on July 29, 2006 at her residence at the age of 83. Born in Sunnyside, the daughter of John Furlotte & Ida (Carrier).

She is survived by her sons Donald of Chester Basin, NS, Darrell(Jacqueline) of Petit Rocher, daughters Sheila Peters of Niagara on the Lake, Leona Dempsey(Fred JR) of St. Catherine, Ont., Gloria Peters(Hank) of St. Catherine, Ont.,9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Also, survived by brother Eugene and sisters Pearl, and Gladys. She was predeceased by her husband Simon, brothers Kenneth and Edgar.

Her funeral service was held from St.Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, Thursday August 03, 2006 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandchildren Wade Dempsey, Christopher Peters, Sandra Peters, Jonathan Doucet, Ryan Doucet, Mark Peters, Jennifer Doucet, and Amy Coleman.
