Eric Raider Olsen
1938 - 2007

At his residence in Dalhousie Junction on July 7, 2007, passed away Eric R. Olsen at the age of 68 years. He was the son of the late Olaf and Winnifred (nee Sansom) Olsen.

He will be sadly missed by his children: Kimberly, Tom, Jacqueline, Danielle and Teresa; by his grandchildren: Jillian, Douglas, Samantha and Nicholas; by his sisters: Beverly Clarke and Mary Van Heockel; by his loving companion Jocelyn Thomas; by many friends and by his two dogs Jeter and Kit. The funeral was held on July 13, 2007 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton, and celebrated by Father William Arseneault with burial in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. A donation to the Restigouche County Volunteer Action Association, known as the Local Food Bank or to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Gérard J. Bélanger

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 11, at the age of 90, Gérard J. Bélanger husband of the late Hilda Chiasson of Charlo. Born in Campbellton on February 27, 1914, son of the late Adelard Bélanger and the late Doria Letourneau. He is survived by his daughters, Rita (Léopold Therrien), Germaine (Marcel Gagné), Raymonde (Gilles Marin), Anne-Marie (Maurice Bussières) and Pauline (Jean-Guy Levesque); his sons, Gérard (Jennifer King), Paul (Betty Bonyun) and Jean (Reine Desjardins); his sisters, Bernice Martel and Merlene Pidgeon. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 sons, Phillipe and Maurice and 1 daughter, Claire.

A funeral mass was held in St. Francis Xavier Church, Charlo on July 13, 2007 with Father Réjean Landry officiating. Arrangements in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Henry LeBlanc

The death of Henry Leblanc of Blackland occurred suddenly at his residence on Thursday July 5, 2007, at the age of 78.

Born in Charlo, he was the son of the late Fred LeBlanc and Emily (Hickey). Henry is survived by his wife Beulah (Gray), his daughter Julie Ann of Campbellton, son Joseph of Dalhousie, grandchildren Nigel, Chelsea, Damen, Cayden and his brother John. He was predeceased by his brother John.

His funeral was held from Our Lady of the Visitation Church, Benjamin on Tuesday July 10, 2007, officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allan Grimes, Gary Simonson, Leonard Sevenson, Donald McNeil, Lindsay Carrier and Olden Carrier. COURT, Leonard Graham

COURT, Leonard Graham - of Escuminac,QC passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital,Veterans Unit, on July 7, 2007. At the age of 85 years.

Born in Escuminac on Oct. 7, 1921, son of the late Leonard William Court and the late Ida Mary Keays. He served in No # 3 Co., 1st Provost Corps, 46th Company in Canada, Overseas Italy, Belgium, France, Holland and Germany. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 19, Campbellton,

Trucking for himself for 24 years, 3 years with IP Co., 9 years with Irving Oil.

He is survived by his children, Jean(Stuart) Maisey of Campbellton, Joyce (Carson) McDavid of Moncton, NB, Garry Patterson of Montreal, Garth(Gail) Court of South Tetagouche, NB, Leonard Court of Cambridge Ont., Scott (Julie) Court of Red Deer Alb., Russell (Barbara) Court of Glen Levit, NB, Michael (Suzanne) Court of Edson Alb., Ronald (Ava) Court of Tide Head NB, and Bryce Court of Edmonton Alb.; his sisters, Leona (Alton) Price of Whitby ON., Rhoda (Everett) Price of Picton ON. and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews all of which he adored. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion Gladys; sisters, Myrtle (Robert) Kerr, Dora (John) Bryant and Lila (Roland) Pyke, and brothers, Carroll (Caroline) Court, Herbert (Elizabeth) Court and Charles Court.

Funeral services were held at Maher's Funeral Chapel, Campbellton on July 10, with Rev. Arnold Godsoe officiating. Interment in the Escuminac United

Raymond Thompson

Passed away at the Village Nursing Home, Campbellton on July 7, 2007, at the age of 96, Mr. Raymond C. Thompson of Campbellton.

Born Sept. 14, 1910 in New Richmond PQ son of the late George and Eva Thompson. He was a CNR Employee for many years.

Survived by his children: Merina (Jack) Wright Mississauga Ont., Rachel (Ken) Luchak Edmonton Alb., Jean (Robert) McFetridge Moncton NB, Gayle (Merrill) Grenier Stanstead PQ, Judy (Neil) McElroy Richmond Hill Ont., Ruth (Paul) Maynagh Mississauga Ont., Walter (Bertha) Thompson Campbellton, Ervin (Gloria) Thompson Campbellton, Wendell (Wendy) Thompson Sudbury Ont., Charlie (Margaret) Thompson Sudbury Ont., Chesley (Carol) Thompson Kirkland PQ. Also survived by 31 grandchildren and 34 Great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his wife Rita (LeBlanc) Thompson, grandchild Tyler Thompson and grandchild Kelly Routh.

Funeral services was held in Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on July 12, 2007, with Rev. Arnold Godsoe officiating, interment in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. Funeral arrangements in care of Maher's Funeral Home Campbellton.

Silas Matchett

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 7 at the age of 84, Mr. Silas Matchett. Born in Newcastle, NB on December 18, 1922, son of the late Earl Matchett and the late Marjorie Matthews.

He is survived by his daughter, Marjorie Wright of St. John, NB; his sons, Silas (Jackie) Matchett of Bouctouche and Kenny (Darlene) Matchett of Tide Head; his sisters, Roma, Roda, Eva, Elisie, Katherine, Morene, Martha, Valorie and Christine, and two brothers, Blair and Peter. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Katherine; his son, Brian; two brothers, Delmont and Sydney and one sister, Lillian.

The funeral services were held from Gateway Penticostal Church, Campbellton on Monday July 9th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Silas Matchett officiating. Pallbearers were Billy McKiel, Bob McTavish, Berry Hickey, Tim Whitney, Omer Ouellette and Donny Bowman.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
