T. William (Bill) Allen
T. William (Bill) Allen of Riverview passed away Monday July 28, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital at the age of 59. Born in Campbellton he was the son of the late Thomas and Beulah (McDavid) Allen. Bill was formerly employed with the CNR from 1971 until he transferred to Marine Atlantic in 1982 from where he retired in 1999He was member of the CN Men's Bowling League and very active in coaching Riverview Minor Softball. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sandra (LeBourque); daughters, Penny of Halifax, Crystal of Fredericton; a sister, Susan Hemy (Bill) of Calgary. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. A service celebrating Bill's life will take place on Thursday July 31 at 1:00 PM from Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. No flowers by request, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital (for Extra Mural Driscoll Unit) or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Cora Levesque Carrier
The death of Cora Levesque Carrier of Jacquet River occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Saturday July 26th, 2008 at the age of 71. Born in Lorne NB, she was the daughter of the late David Levesque & Mary Jane (Carrier). She is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Dean(Gail) of Montreal; Blaine of Edmunston, Terrance (Ophelia) of Montreal; daughter, Brenda Carrier (Peter) of Capuscassing ON; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Alvin & sisters, Florence LeBelle & Delores Savoie. Her funeral was held from St. Marie Goretti Church, Lorne, Thursday July 31st, 2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson. Pallbearers were her sons Dean,Blaine & Terry & grandsons Andrew,Matthew & Kyle. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home, Black Point. www.macmillansfuneralhome.ca
Pat Curry
The death of Pat Curry of Belledune occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the age of 70. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late William Curry & the late Margaret(Boyle). Pat was an employee of Brunswick Smelter for 30 plus years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lorraine(Landry); daughters, Caroline Curry Oldham (Sam) of Moncton, Ann Curry of Moncton; brothers, Daniel of The Pas, Manitoba, William of Halifax, Richard of Moncton; sisters, Mary Eva Maine of Guelph & Margie Dehart of Naramata B.C. He was pre-deceased by a brother, John and a sister, Catherine. There will be no visitation at the funeral Home, a private graveside service in Belledune is to be held at a later date. Joe Gagne
The death of Joe Gagne of Belledune occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the age of 79. Born in Benjamin, he was the son of the late Myles Gagne & the late Leona (Allard). He is survived by his wife, Corrine (Cormier); children, Raymond (Cynthia) of Hamilton, ON, Deborah Gagne of Belledune, Bryan of St.John, Charlaine Guitar, Ont., Glenda Gagne (Peter) of Jacquet River, Rachelle Gagne of St.John; stepson, Joseph Craig Lavigne of Atholville; 12 grandchildren; and sisters, Rose Marie Belliveau & Doreen LaPointe. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Norman & sister, Alfreda. His funeral was held from St.John the Evangelist Church, Belledune, Saturday, July 26, 2008 with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Trevor Guitar, Jacob Doyle, Aaron Doyle, Ryan Gagner, Shelby Audet, & John Gagne. Honorary pallbearers were Kyle LaPointe, Keeghan Audet & Alex Gagne.
