Dollard LePage
Dollard LePage passed away suddenly at his residence on July 25, 2009 at the age of 68 and 7 months. He leaves behind his wife, Gloria Pelletier, his son, Éric, his three daughters: Sylvie, Mélanie and Annie as well as six grandchildren. The LePage family would like to thank parents and friends for all their support during these hard times. He will never be forgotten. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral, Balmoral.
Ernest Thompson
The death of Ernest Thompson of Charlo occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 at the age of 62. Born in Charlo, he was the son of the late Simon Thompson and the late Emma (LaPointe). Ernest was a graduate of Civil Engineering at UNB and was employed for twelve years at NB Power and then worked another twelve years for NBIP. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Theuerkauf); daughter Kim Thompson (Ken Ross) of Charlo; son Andrew (Kim) of Calgary; grandson Oliver; brothers Eric, Carl and Paul; sisters Roselyn Thompson and Lisa Thompson as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. His funeral will be held from St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, Wednesday, August 12th, 2009 at 11 am. Donations to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Ernest would be appreciated by the family. Gelas Splude
Gelas Splude of Dalhousie died peacefully on July 26, 2009 at the DVA unit of Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Dalhousie, NB, he was the son of the late Agapi Splude and the late Rosanne Brideau. Gelas is survived by his two children; daughter Jocelyne Plourde of Dalhousie, NB and son Guy Plourde of Burlington, Ontario; his sister Simonne Howell of Bathurst, NB and two grand children, Nathalie and Valerie Plourde. His funeral was held at St. John the Baptist church of Dalhousie, NB on July 29, 2009 and was officiated by Rev. Réjean Landry. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
Irene Alice (Swinnard) McLean
It is with great sadness we announce the death of Irene Alice (Swinnard) McLean of Bath which occurred on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, at the age of 87. Born in Dalhousie, NB on April 3, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Matthews) Swinnard and wife of Donald L. McLean. Irene was active in the United Church, being the organist in Florenceville and Bath for 25 years and was a member of the United Church Women and the Bible Study Group. She was a member of the Women's Institute and a lifetime member of the Florenceville Curling Club and honourary pianist and lifetime member of the Royal Purple. Previous activities included facilitating Senior's fitness in Bath and giving piano lessons in Charlo and Florenceville. Irene used her many talents in sewing, knitting, baking and quilting for her family and fundraising activities. Irene is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Donald, six children, M. Joan Smith (Wayne) of Hines Creek, AB, Marilyn Tompkins (Raymond) of Mount Pleasant, NB, Marjory Hume (Roger Kitchen) of Airdrie, AB, Donald McLean (Maria) of Bathurst, NB, Pam McLean-Veysey (Sid) of Bedford, NS and Carolyn Fox (Dwight Lucas) of Porter's Lake, NS, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers, Harry and Frederick and 1 sister, Lillian. Visitation was held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service was held Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 2:00pm from Faith Memorial United Church. Interment was in the Florenceville Community Cemetery on Maple Street. Percy Martin
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Percy (Maud-Tex) Martin on July 30th, 2009 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 70. Born on June 2nd, 1939 in Listuguj, son of the late Margaret Methot and John Martin both of Listuguj. Uncle Percy was known as a great musician, entertainer, bottle collector, storyteller and most of all a fun loving free man who will be sadly missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly. He leaves to mourn his sister Elizabeth (Peggy) Metallic, John Melvin Vicaire and Joe Vicaire. He didn't have children but leaves to mourn his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters, Mary Jane Vicaire, Margaret Vicaire and Irene Martin Jerome, his brothers, Robert Vicaire, Raymond Vicaire, Silvester Martin and Peter Martin. The funeral mass was held on Saturday, August 1st, 2009 at the St-Anne Church, Listuguj, officiated by Father Everest Landry. Pallbearers; Tyrone Metallic, Evan Metallic, Aurele Isaac, Dwayne Ward, Edward Martin and Carl Metallic. Honourary Pallbearers; Maynard Caplin, Kenneth Isaac, Tom Labillois, Gerarld Vicaire, Joe Sorbey. Robert Vicaire and Thomas (Dumas) Vicaire. The family would like to thank everyone in our time of sorrow who donated flowers, food, money and cards. It is greatly appreciated by our family and will be forever grateful. Priscille Boudreau 1927 - 2009
A l'Hôpital Régional de Campbellton, samedi le 8 août 2009 à l'âge de 82 ans, est décédée Mme Priscille Boudreau de McLeods, épouse de feu Alexandre Boudreau. Elle était la fille de feu Joseph Boudreau et feue Ida Allard. Elle est survécue par ses enfants : Ernest Boudreau de McLeods, Aline Trites (Philip) de McLeods, Jules Boudreau de McLeods, Raymond Comeau de Glen Levit, Lisette Boudreau de McLeods et Monique Boudreau (Zoel) d'Irishtown, N.-B. ; ses 9 petits-enfants et ses 5 arrière-petits-enfants ; ses frères : Joseph (Marie) de St-Arthur et Armand de St-Arthur. Elle est également survécue par plusieurs nièces, neveux, belles-soeurs, beaux-frères et amis. Elle a rejoint son époux Alexandre, son petit-fils Eric Boudreau ; ses frères : Roger et Richard et ses soeurs : Jeannine et Dora. Les funérailles auront lieu jeudi le 13 août 2009 à 14h en l'église Marie-Reine de Richardville et la famille recevra les condoléances une heure avant la célébration.
