Anita (Wood) Vipond
Anita (Wood) Vipond, wife of the late Roy Vipond, passed away in Calgary on August 2, 2005.
She was born in Campbellton in 1928, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wood.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Diane Phillips, sons John and Kenneth, grandson Russell Phillips, sisters Loretta Taylor of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mae Nelson of Barrie, Ontario, Teresa Dobson of Saint John, N.B., brother Kirwan of Campbellton, and sister-in-law Vera Wood of Campbellton.
Predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wood, sister Peggy and brother Vincent. Interment was in Calgary.
Bruce James Sullivan
The death of Bruce James Sullivan of Mann's Settlement, Quebec, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 31, 2005, at the age of 75.
Born in Campbellton, N.B. on April 20, 1930, he was the son of the late Freeman Sullivan and the late Mary Curtis. Bruce was a retired Engineer with CNR.
Surviving is his wife Fern Irvine Sullivan, daughters Wendy (Marcel) Dube, Christina (Larry) Adams, Pansy (Robert) Crowler, son Curtis (Mary Fraser) Sullivan, sisters Lois (Greg) Ellis and Mona Sullivan, brothers Max (Betty) Sullivan, Ralph (Lodia) Sullivan and Lyman (Ann) Sullivan. Also surviving are grandchildren Courtney and Keegan Dube, Trina Adams, Sara and Kayla Crowler, and Amanda and Tanya Sullivan, as well as one great grandchild Mallory Moores.
He was predeceased by his parent Freeman and Mary, one sister Betty Roy and one grandchild, Rachel Adams.
The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on August 3, 2005, officiated by Rev. Kraglund, with interment in Mann's Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers were Vincent Irvine, Gerald Irvine, Donald Sullivan, Curtis Sullivan, Craig Irvine and Kevin Roy. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Frank P. McKenna
The death of Frank P. McKenna, resident of the Soldier's Memorial Villa in Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 2, 2005, at the age of 85.
Born in Saint John, N.B. on March 23, 1920, he was the son of the late Patrick McKenna and the late Sarah Farrell. Frank was a retired Electrical Designer.
Surviving him is his wife Rolande LePage, one nephew and several nieces.
Predeceasing him were his parents Patrick and Sarah.
The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on August 5, 2005, officiated by Father Culligan. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Christian Levesque
The death of Christian Levesque of St. Arthur, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 28, 2005, at the age of 31.
Born in Campbellton, he was the son of Diane Guerette and Romeo Levesque.
Surviving are his parents Romeo Levesque of St. Arthur and Diane (Jacques Guerette) of Campbellton, sister Sophie Levesque (Ralph Levesque) of St. Arthur, his girlfriend Cynthia Hamilton of Campbellton, his daughter Shelsa Levesque of Val D'Amour. Also surviving is his maternal grandmother Fernande Arseneault and grandfather Arthur Savoie, his paternal grandmother Louise Levesque, niece Cassandra Levesque of St. Arthur, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Predeceasing was his paternal grandfather Andre Albert Levesque.
The funeral was held from Notre Dame de Fatima Church in St. Arthur on Monday, August 1, 2005, officiated by Father Emile Godin, with interment in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary Levesque, Wesley Maltais, Stephane Busque, Roger Busque, Andre Guerette and Danny Duclos. Those who wish to send condolences can do so at www.salonsavoie.ca. Garnet Morehouse
The death of Garnet E. Morehouse of Dalhousie, NB, husband of Kathleen Jones, occurred on Saturday July 30, 2005 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. He was 63. Formerly of Zealand, NB he was the son of Olive Morehouse and the late Herschel Morehouse. Garnet's work with Brunswick Oxygen, Ingersoll Rand and Praxair took him around the province. He was a member of UCT, volunteer at the Dalhousie Nursing Home and enjoyed golfing, gardening and the outdoors.
He is survived by two sons Michael Morehouse (Sylvain Breton) of Quebec and Troy Morehouse of Saint John; two brothers Dennis Morehouse of Florida and Leslie Morehouse (Carolyn Curtis) of Zealand, sister-in-law Edith Estey of Zealand and several nieces and nephews. Garnet is predeceased by his brother David Hardy.
Visitation took place at York Funeral Home 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday August 2 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service was held on Wednesday August 3, 2005 at 2 pm from St. Paul's Anglican Church in Zealand, NB with Rev. Anthony Kwaw officiating and Rev. Arnold Godsoe assisting. For those who wish, remembrances to the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Interment followed the service in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery. Harold Dobson
The death of Harold Dobson of Hamilton, Ontario, occurred at the Hamilton General Hospital on July 7, 2005, at the age of 77.
Born in Campbellton, N.B., he was the son of the late Andrew and Laura Dobson.
Surviving are his children Wayne (Lisa), Brian (Sharlene), Debbie (Robert) and Dale (Dorey), his grandchildren Kerry, David, Danny, Aaron, Michelle, Dayle, Taylor and Hillary. Great grandchildren Page and Hallee and a very special friend Betty Smith. Also surviving are brothers Sterling (Sue), Lloyd (Claudette), Carl (Lorraine), sister Joyce (Ray). He was predeceased by his brother Andy and sisters Marion and Lorraine. At Hal's request, cremation had taken place and his ashes were taken home to rest with his Mom and Dad.
The funeral was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church on July 27, 2005, officiated by Father Culligan, with interment in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home.
Jean Marie Diotte
The death of Jean Marie Diotte of 431 Goderich Street, Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 28, 2005, at the age of 66.
Born in St. Maure, N.B.,on July5, 1939, he was the son of the late Hubert Diotte and the late Bertha Fontaine.
Surviving him is his wife Emma Diotte (nee Mercier), daughters Marguerite Diotte (Leonard LeClair) of Dalhousie, Charlene (Pierre) Chamberlain of Moncton, Marie Line Diotte (Normand Boilard) of Quebec, Adrienne (Alfred) Boudreau of Charlo, Rose Marie Diotte (Bradley Boudreau) of Ontario, Rosaline (Patrique) LaBelle of Dalhousie and Charmaine (Tom) Ouellette of Campbellton, son Jean Pierre (Nancy) Diotte of Dalhousie, sisters Adrienne Fontaine and Marie Ange Mutuchky, and brother Gerard Diotte of Balmoral. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Predeceasing him were his parents Hubert and Bertha, as well as one son Charles.
The funeral was held from St. John the Baptist Church in Dalhousie on Monday, August 1, 2005, officiated by Father Doiron, with interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Charlo. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
