Ann Elizabeth Sullivan

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 8, 2007, at the age of 86, Mrs Ann Elizabeth Ann Sullivan of Campbellton Village Nursing Home. Born in England on June 29, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Kathleen Wilkinson.

She leaves to mourn her husband Lyman Sullivan, her daughter Debra (Sylvain Landry) of Campbellton, her sister Ellen of Ottawa, her brothers Ron and Bill both in England.

Also survived by her 2 grandchildren Natacha (Marcel Lanteigne) and Patricha, 4 great-grandchildren Christian and Logan Lanteigne and Monica & Emma-Lynn Landry.

The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Friday August 10th at 2 p.m.

Alma Hotton

The death of Alma Hotton, age 84, of Jacquet River, occurred Tuesday July 31, 2007.

She is the daughter of the late Walter Lepage and Winnifred Johnson of Gaspe, Quebec. She is survived by her sons: Victor of Montreal, Robert (Cheryl) of Jacquet River, Clyde of Jacquet River, Randy of Jacquet River, Chris (Cathy) of Edmonton as well as 5 grandchildren: Troy, Carrie, Crystal, Laurie and Julie. In addition , she is survived by her brothers Anson and Bryce LePage and sisters Mona McInnis, Vera Costain, Corrinna Johnson, Kathleen Hawley and Lorna Johnson. Alma was pre-deceased by her husband Snowdon, her parents, her brother Leonard and sister Eunice.

Her funeral was held at St Mary's Anglican Church in Dalhousie on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Margaret (MacDonald) MacKnight

Mrs Margaret (MacDonald) MacKnight, wife of Wayne MacKnight of Wesley Street, Miramichi, passed away Thursday evening August 2, 2007, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 72.

Born in North Sydney Cape Breton NS, she was the daughter of the late Stephen & Madeline (Bona) MacDonald. She was a nurse's aid for twelve years and a housewife. S he was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, member of C.W.L., and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion.

Besides her husband Wayn, she is survived by one daughter; Lisa Durette (Ronald) of Miramichi,; two sons; Blair MacKnight (Sharon) of Barrie, On; Earl MacKnight (Dinah) of Miramichi; two sisters: Mary Boyde (MacDonald) of Sydney Mines; Agnes Walsh (MacDonald) of North Sydney. Three brothers; Harvey MacDonald and Jackie MacDonald.

Mrs. Margaret MacKnight rested at Davidson's Funeral Home, Miramichi.

Raymond Lapointe

The death of Raymond LaPointe of New Mills occurred Aug. 1, 07 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 73. Born in Seaside, NB, he was the son of the late Paul Aliby LaPointe and Loretta (Albert). He is survivedf by his special friend Lorraine, sons Keary of New Mills and Norman (Celine) Also of New Mills as well as 3 Grandchildren Angie, Kayla and Greg and his brothers Leonard and Ernest and sisters Mathilda, Ruby and Ada.

His funeral was held from Our Lady of the Visitation Church, Benjamin River Monday Aug., 6, 2007, officiated by Father David Ferguson.

Myrtle Pitre

The death of Myrtle Pitre of Armstrong occurred on Friday August 3, 2007 at the Bathurst Regional Hospital at the age of 77.

She is survived by her daughter Betty of Toronto, brothers Hubert, Jackie and Angus as well as her sister Catherine.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Emile and sister Dorine.

Her funeral was held from St Gabriels Church, Jacquet River, Monday Aug 6th.

Mario Dumas

Passed away at his residence in Balmoral on August 3, 2007, at the age of 75, Mr. Mario Dumas. Born in Saint-Philippe-de-Neri, Quebec on June 4, 1932, he was the son of the late Desire Dumas and the late Lucie Landry Dumas. He leaves to mourn his wife Georgette, his daughters' Ginette Dumas, Gisele (Daniel LeBlond), Denise (Robert Audet), Carole (Roger Bujold), Carmen (Pierre A. Levesque), Nicole (Paul Parent), Therese (Conrad Levesque), Celine (Emile Savoie) and Louise Dumas; his sons : Renald (Earline Beaton), Serge (Francine Bujold), Denis Dumas and Marc Dumas; his brothers: Jean Guy (Yvette Lepage), Robert (Carmen Drapeau), Marcel Dumas and Gilles Dumas; his sisters: Ghislaine Dumas Poirier and Micheline Dumas Vaccasoulie, as well as 24 grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, one son Allain (November 1982) husband of Liette Marcoux and one sister Jacqueline Dumas. The funeral mass was held from Saint Benoit Church Balmoral on Monday August 6th at 4 p.m.

Murray McDonald

The death of Murray McDonald of Archibald occured at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Monday July 23, 2007 at the age of 72. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Louis McDonald and Marcelline (Higgins). Murray was a member of the Armed Forces and served in Korea. He was an avid sportsman, dart player, excellent bowler who also loved hockey and was a true Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He was a long time employee of Brunswick Mining and Smelter, Smelter division until his retirement in 1999. He is survived by his daughters Susan Carrier (Tony) of Lorne, Christine Carrier (Louis) of Nash Creek and Charlene McDonald of New Westminster, BC, 5 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren as well as a brother Louis and sister Marie.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Cecile (Carrier and his son Bobby. His funeral was held from St Marie Goretti Church, Lorne, Friday July 27, 2007.
