Earl Robert Dew

On July 1st, 2004, Earl Robert Dew passed away suddenly at his home in Tide Head at the age of 93.

Born August 1, 1910, in Toronto, he was the son of the late Albert Dew and Katherine Armstrong. He is predeceased by his brothers Harry and Fred and his sisters Emily and Rita Newton.

Earl will be sadly missed by his wife Anne (Boudreau), son Jim and daughter-in-law Nancy, his daughters Shirley Adams, Doreen Fenton and Karen Nowosiadly and son-in-law Bill Adams, his 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In the early forties, Earl delivered milk by horse and buggy for Valley View Dairies and in 1947 joined the Loblaw Groceteria Co. Ltd. where he drove transport for 25 years until he retired in 1975. After his retirement, he moved to Pointe-a-la-Garde and after 6 years moved to Tide Head in 1981.

Sterling Cooling

The death of Sterling Cooling of Dawsonville occurred in Dawsonville on July 28, 2004, at the age of 72.

Born in Dawsonville on May 12, 1932, he was the son of the late James Cooling and the late Gertrude Thompson.

He is survived by his wife Marena Thompson: daughters Brenda Cooling (Hart) and Joan (John) MacDonald; sons Wayne Cooling (Nancy), Gordon Cooling and Wendell Cooling (Tammy) ; sisters Lily Thompson, Maxine Firth (Baden), Eileen Allen (Garnet) and Faye Mann(Walter); sister-in-law Bernice Cooling; brothers Fred Cooling (Susan), Malcolm Ccooling, Reggie Cooling, Auley Cooling (Helen), Ronnie Cooling, Harry Cooling and Robert Cooling (Elaine); grandchildren Jesse Joshua, Neil, Jenna, Lacey, Alexandra, Whitley, Samantha and Noah as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers Bill and Ralph, and one sister Betty Boudreau.

Robin Flann

The death of Robin James Flann of Campbellton , occurred in Campbellton on July 28, 2004, at the age of 51.

Born in Campbellton on March 26, 1953, he was the son of Gordon Flann and Gwendolyn Edwards. Robin worked as a paper maker for 32 years.

He is survived by his wife Claudette Benoit Flann of Campbellton; mother Gwendolyn Edwards of Dalhousie; father Gordon Flann of Dalhousie; daughter Melissa Flann of Campbellton; son Christopher Flann of Campbellton; sisters Ruby (Gary) Audfroid of Dalhousie and Gretchen (Richard) Chiasson of Dalhousie.

Bertha LaPointe

The death of Bertha LaPointe of 23 Campbell St., Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 27, 2004, at the age of 58.

Born in Val d'Amour on December 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Amedee Savoie and Malvina Flower.

She is survived by her husband George LaPointe of Campbellton; her mother Malvina Savoie of Campbellton; daughter Denise Murray of Campbellton; sons Daniel Aucoin of Campbellton; sisters Donia Doucette of Campbellton, Irene Lagace of Campbellton, Irene Lagace of Campbellton, Fernande Rochon of Montreal, Que., Evelyn Savoie of Montreal and Arlette Aspiro of Paspabiac, Que.; brothers Aurelle Savoie of Campbellton, Rene Savoie of Campbellton, Theodore Savoie of Eel River, Nicholas Savoie of Shediac, Henry Savoie of Montreal, Harvy Savoie of Montreal and Dominique Savoie of Montreal; grandchildren Mindy, Kevin, Maxime, Shawn, Jessica, Venessa, Kelly, Mathieu and Caroline.

She was predeceased only by her father Amedee Savoie.
