Juliette Licari

Juliette Licari, surrounded by her family, Sunday, March 3, 2002 in Ottawa at age 72.

Née Juliette Rena MacIntyre of Charlo, New Brunswick. Precious wife of 47 years to her beloved husband Angelo Licari of Ottawa. Cherished and devoted mother of Paula (Fern Blasioli), Dominic (Lilly), Stella (Emilio Panetta), Michael (Kelly), Laurie (Claudio Santurbano), and Nancy (Carlo Vial), all of Ottawa. Loving grandmother of 18 grandchildren. Dear sister of Jeanne (Gerald Goulette), Laurence (George Levesque), Gérard, Lucille (Alvin McNair), Joseph (Thérèse),, all of Charlo, Simonne (Edgar Parker) of Eel River Crossing, and Paul (Yvette) of Boucherville.

Predeceased by sister Rosemarie (Aldo Mozzomo) of Sault-Ste-Marie, brothers Raymond (the late Isabelle) of Gatineau, Simon (Adrienne) of Sudbury and Hébert of Charlo.

Viewing was held at Kelly's Funeral Home in Ottawa. Funeral services took place on March 7, 2002, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church followed by entombment at Capital Memorial Gardens, Ottawa.

Fedora Levesque

The death of Fedora Levesque occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 7, 2002, at the age of 77.

Born in Campbellton on April 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Agnes (LeBlanc) and Jean-Baptiste Levesque. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Jacqueline Levesque, and one brother-in-law, Hector Savoie, and by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass was celebrated on February 8 at Our Lady of Snows Church, Campbellton, with Rev. Romeo Morrison officiating. Interment will be in the Rural Cemetery in the spring.

Howard Hickey

The death of Howard Hickey, husband of Leona (Lapointe) of Lorne, occurred at St. Joseph Hospital March 14 at the age of 88. Born in Doyleville, he was the son of Alexander and Emily (Lapointe).

He is survived by his wife, Leona; four sons, Barry (Jeannette) of Bathurst, Howard L. (Helen) of New Mills, Daniel (Linda) of Belledune, and Perry (Lise) of Miramichi; five daughters, Sheila of Toronto, Linda Lapointe (Allan) of Nash Creek, Sandra Mallaley (Lawrence) of Lorne, Donna Richard (Malcolm) of Lorne and Vivian of Belledune. He is also survived by his sister, Josephine Hickey of Nash Creek, brothers Arnold (Alphonsine) of Doyleville and Kenneth (Sally) of Fredericton and 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Howard was predeceased by daughters Francis Pherne and Mary Pherne, son Donald, sisters Mary Violet, Eva and Rose and brothers Joseph, Gabriel, Giles, Rupert and Durwood.

Honourary pallbearers were his grandchildren Alicia and Michel Lapointe, Dexter Mallaley, Jeffrey and Jason Richard and Robin Ezckiel.

His funeral was held from St. Marie Goretti Church on March18.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Jean-Marc Laviolette

The death of Jean-Marc Laviolette of Charlo occurred suddenly on March 13, 2002.

He was born in Charlo to Herbert Laviolette and Rita McIntyre on March 13, 1948 and was a retired telephone technician.

He is survived by his wife, Gisèle Thibodeau Laviolette; his mother, Rita; his daughters, Lise Laviolette of Moncton and Diane Laviolette of Surrey, B.C.; his sisters, Anne Laviolette of Oromocto, Louise Laviolette of Charlo and Patricia Laviolette of Charlo and his brothers, Herbert (Teresa) Laviolette of Montreal, Laurent (Audrey) Laviolette of Corpus Christi, Texas, Maurice (Laura) Laviolette of Charlo, Louis (Monique) Laviolette of Campbellton, Pierre (Lisette) Laviolette of Charlo and Guy (Christiane) Laviolette of Campbellton.

Funeral services were held from St. Francis Xavier Church, Charlo, on March 18 with Rev. Yvon Doiron officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.

The pallbearers were his brothers.

Funeral Arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
