Delphis Godin

The death of Delphis Godin of Beresford and formerly of Lorne occurred accidentally June 25, 2007 in Beresford at the age of 76.Born in Lorne, he was the son of late Thomas J. Godin and Effie(Furlong).

He is survived by his son Dean of Beresford, daughters Janice Carrier of Belledune, Gail Godin of Beresford, granddaughters Giselle and Shelley as well as 2 great grandsons Devon and Connor.

A private funeral for family and invited friends will be held from St. John the Evangelist Church, Belledune July 19, 2007. Burial to take place in the Lorne Parish Cemetery at a later date. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point. www.macmillansfuneralhome.ca

Donald Clevette
1933 - 2007

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 11, 2007, passed away Donald Clevette of Campbellton at the age of 74 years. He was the son of the late John Alexander Clevette and late Janie Roy.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters and brothers: Kathleen Borris (Clarence) of Niagara Falls, Ont., Arnold Clevette (Jeannette) of Campbellton, Valerie Ouellette of Campbellton, Edna Girard of Etobicoke, Ont., Stanley Clevette (Denise) of Niagara Falls, Ont,, Marlene Dobson (John) of Campbellton and Paul Clevette (Joyce) of Campbellton and by many friends. The funeral was held on July 14, 2007 at the St.Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton, and celebrated by Father Wilfred Benoit with burial in the parish cemetery.

Edna Guitard

Edna Guitard of Belledune NB, passed away on July 13, 2007 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Lorne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lena (Hickey) Mallaley and John Mallaley.

She is survived by her four daughters: Joyce (Edgar) Godin of Petit-Rocher, Norma (Sylvio) Carrier of Dalhousie, Velma (Alonzo) Godin of Jacquet River and Elizabeth (Betty) of Bathurst. She is also survived by her Ten Grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Edna was predeceased by her son Conrad of Brampton,ON, and all her siblings, four sisters and five brothers as well as her husband Walter (1st marriage) of Lorne and Placide Guitard (2nd)marriage of Belledune.

Her funeral was held from St. Marie Goretti Church, Lorne Thursday, July 19, 2007 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Rodney Carrier, Kevin Godin, Wayne LaPointe, Hilray Lapointe, Michael Frenette, and Jamie Carrier. Mary Loretta Wallace

WALLACE, Mary Loretta (Harris) - Peacefully on Saturday June 30, 2007 at Bella Senior Care Residence, Niagara Falls, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Philip (2001). Dear mother of Donna Lee Adamtau. Cherished Grandma Mary of Tiiu Adamtau. Sister of the late Bernetta Barbour, the late Margaret Harris, the late Jack Harris (Dorothy), the late James Harris (Pearl), Stanley Harris (Cynthia), Dalhousie, New Brunswick.

Funeral was held on Thursday July 5, 2007 from the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, Niagara Falls, to St. Thomas More Church where funeral mass was celebrated on Thursday July 5, 2007 at 1 o'clock. Melanie Chamberlain
1908 - 2007

Melanie Chamberlain, 99, of Villa du Repos, Moncton, passed away on Saturday, July 21st, 2007, at her residence. Born in Shoppagan, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mathias and the late Marguerite (née: Noel) Chiasson.

She is survived by three daughters: Therese (Walter) Ciechon of Virginia Beach, Opal Chamberlain and Zita Preston, both of Moncton; one son, Guy (Norma) of Moncton; 15 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren as well as by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Martin in 1944; one daughter, Marie and also by one sister, Clara.

Visitation was held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe on Monday July 23 and Tuesday July 24 until time of funeral. Funeral mass was celebrated at the Notre Dame-de-la-Paix R.C.C., on Tuesday July 24th, 2007 at 1030 a.m. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. www.chartersville.com

Joseph Louis-Philippe Allain

Passed away at the DVA unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 15, 2007 at the age of 85 and 5 months, Mr. Joseph Louis-Philippe Allain. Born in Campbellton on January 31, 1922, he was the son of the late Ambroise Allain and the late Marie-Anne Bujold. Mr. Allain was a businessman in the Campbellton area for a period of 35 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the U.C.T., the Royal Canadian Legion, MS Society and Meals on Wheels. He was also a veteran of WWII in the Canadian Air Force May 1942 - August 1945.

He leaves to mourn his daughters Deborah (George Gibb), Rebecca (Philippe Bourgeois), Margot (John Hutchinson), Jane (Steven Johnson) and Ann (Jonathan Edwards), his son Marc (Susan Johnson), his sister Rose-Marie Daigle. Also his grandchildren Ana-Michelle, René, Riel Allain; Gabriel and Liam Gibb; Cyrus, Justin, Shereen Kangarloo; Ricky, Sarah, Paul, Laura Hutchinson; Alexandre Johnson, great grandson Ayden Hutchinson.

Predeceased by his wife Fern Hébert, 1 brother Lucien Allain and 2 sisters Alice Allain and Lucienne Maguire.

The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Snow Church Campbellton on Saturday July 21st at 11am. Father Roméo Morrison officiating. Pallbearers were Justin Kangarloo, Riel Allain, Paul Hutchinson and Ricky Hutchinson.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
