Loretta Vezina

The death of Loretta Vezina of Dalhousie occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home Monday, August 25, 2008 at the age of 92. Born in Eel River Cove, she was the daughter of the late Sam Hynes & Rose Ann (Young).

She is survived by daughters Jean Vezina, Theresa Murray (Bill) of Calgary, Irene Vaters (Mark) of BC and sons Lawrence (May) of Dalhousie and Ronald (Theresa) of Campbellton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as her sister Mabel Dugas of Dalhousie. Loretta was predeceased by her husband Joseph, son Donald, brothers Walter, Tommy and Dennis and sisters, Jane and Josephine. Her funeral was held from St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, Thursday, August 28, 2008 officiated by Father Bill Arseneault with visitation at the Bosco church.

Pallbearers were Robin Vezina, Lionel Lavalley, Pat Lavalley, Roderick Arseneault, Larry Cyr and Alfred Arseneault. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home, Black Point. Loretta was a very dedicated, warm, loving and positive person to her family, grandchildren, relatives, friends and to all she came in contact with daily. Francis A. Sharpe
1926 - 2008

At The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, August 24, 2008, passed away Francis Alvin Sharpe, 82, of Moncton. Born April 11, 1926 in Deeside, Quebec, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Amanda (LeBlanc) Sharpe.

A veteran of the Second World War, he served as a dispatcher in the Royal Canadian Service Corps from 1943-1945, and was an employee for TD Canada Trust in Calgary prior to his retirement. He is survived by a sister, Edna Mahony of Campbellton; two brothers, William (Carolyn) of Winnipeg, MB; Howard (Shirley) of Lethbridge, AB; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Wendell; a sister, Helen Steeves; and an infant sister, Shirley.

The funeral service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 28 from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Robinsonville, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Last Post Fund, through any Royal Canadian Legion, would be appreciated. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Frenette Funeral Home, Moncton (858-1900)

Evangeline Mcintyre

- A I'Hôpital régional de Campbellton, le samedi 23 août 2008, est décédée Evangeline Mcintyre (née LeBlanc), domiciliée à Dalhousie. Elle était l'épouse en premières noces de feu Mathieu Mcintyre et en deuxièmes noces de feu Alonzo Mcintyre.

Née à Balmoral le 5 novembre 1924, elle était la fille de feu Joseph LeBlanc et de feue Virginie Poirier. Elle laisse dans le deuil quatre fils: Joseph (Marylene) de Grande Prairie, AB., Thomas (Rosaline) de Richibouctou-Village, Lucien (Magella) de Cap-aux-Meules, Ile-de-la-Madeleine et Léopold de Campbellton; cinq filles: Alice (Maurice) LeClair de Dalhousie, Yvette (Raymond) Richard de Saulnierville, N.-É., Rita (Martin) Villeneuve de Cantley, QC, Henriette de Gatineau, QC et Thérèse (Fabien) Cloutier de Gatineau, QC; 14 petits-enfants, 14 arrière-petits-enfants, ainsi que quatre soeurs: Hélène Poirier de Balmoral, Marie-Louise LeBel de Balmoral, Maria DesRuisseaux de Victoriaville et Bernice Doucet de Mountain Brook, N.-B. Sa fille, Hélène Bernard d'Eel River Crossing; son frère Bruno, ainsi que ses soeurs: Elizabeth Arseneault et Anna Chouinard, l'ont précédée dans la tombe.

Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l'Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Dalhousie, le lundi 25 août, à 16h00. La direction des funérailles à été confiée aux soins professionnels du Salon Funéraire Maher de Dalhousie.

Wallace Byron Lane Boudreau
1942 -2008

Peacefully at home in Glencoe, NB on August 11, 2008, Wallace passed away. Born in Glencoe on May 22, 1942, he was the beloved son of the late Hillson M. Boudreau and Inez I. Bowman. Wallace retired in 2006 from the DOT.

Throughout his years, Wallace was a friend to all, and gave a helping hand whenever he could. Wallace was loved by many, especially by his family. His big heart encompassed all, including creatures great and small. Wallace will be missed by many, and forever loved by his family. He leaves to mourn his best friend, and brother, Marven; his devoted sister-in-law, Ruth (Glencoe); brother, Robert (Toronto); loving sisters, Clara (BC), Constance (Pierrefonds); Fern (Mrs. Donald McNulty) of Moncton; and Roslyn (Saint John); along with the third musketeer, Edward Malcolm; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brothers, Daniel and Boyd; along with sister, Greta; nieces Lama, Darla and Carolyn; nephew, Donald.

The funeral service was conducted at Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton, NB on Friday August 15, 2008 with Reverend Jim Postlethwaite officiating. A special reading and testimony of Wallace's love of friends, family and life was given by his sister Fern. She also sang the hymn "In Times Like These". Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Andrew O'Connell
1926 - 2008

Andrew O'Connell, age 82 years of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, August 23, 2008. Born in Campbellton, NB on April 21st, 1926, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mamie (Shannon) O'Connell.

Andrew attended Holy Family Church in Moncton on a regular basis and was a committed parishioner. He is survived by his loving wife Jackie (Boudreau) O'Connell; sons Sean O'Connell of Ottawa and Kevin O'Connell of Toronto; precious granddaughter Emma O'Connell; cousin Muriel Harrington; and one niece and one nephew. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond O'Connell. By personal request there was no visitation at the funeral home.

A funeral mass was held at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 52 Falkland Drive, Moncton on Thursday, August 28th, 2008 at 10:00am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Donations in memory of Andrew made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Holy Family Building Fund would be appreciated by his family.
