Alphe Arseneault

At the DVA unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on Friday September 8th, 2006, passed away at the age of 82, Mr. Alphe Arseneault, husband of June Roberts of Dalhousie Junction.

Besides his wife he leaves to mourn three sisters: Theresa, Agatha and Shirly; one brother: Ben; and also some nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral chapel in Dalhousie, on Monday September 11th at 2:30pm. Interment at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

James Brian McGrath

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on Friday August 18th, 2006, passed away at the age of 45, James Brian McGrath, husband of Susan Durette, residing in Campbellton.

Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn one daughter: Becky McGrath; one son: Joshua McGrath; his mother Margaret McGrath; his father Leonard McGrath; two sisters: Carolyn McGrath, Catherine McGrath-Aubie; two brothers: Patrick McGrath and Bill McGrath; also his grandson Cole and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral was held at Maher's Chapel. Pastor Michael Noel officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

James David Brander
1938 - 2006

James Brander, 68, of Point La Nim, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2006, following a courageous battle with cancer. Son of the late Robert Brander and Priscilla Mullin of Miramichi, New Brunswick. Beloved husband of Lorraine Thibodeau. Father of Peter (Theresa Kot) and Karla (Serge Laviolette), both of Ottawa. Loving grandfather to Anastasia and Mackenzie Brander and Nicholas, Samuel and Kaitlyn Laviolette. He will be fondly remembered by his brother and sister, John (Leona) Brander of Miramichi, and Roberta (Henry) Fournier of Wabamun, Alberta. Predeceased by his sister Marilyn (Currie) Charlong of Campbellton.

James was employed by NBTel (Aliant) for 41 years prior to retiring in 1999. James was also active in Scouts Canada having served as District Commissioner. He also worked with a number of volunteer organizations including the Canadian Cancer Society and served on the St. Joseph Hospital Board of Directors in the 1980s.

A funeral mass was celebrated at St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, on August 20. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Kathleen E. Harvey

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on Thursday September 7th, 2006, passed away at the age of 86, Mrs. Kathleen E. Harvey, wife of the late Vernon Alexander Harvey of Campbellton.

She leaves to mourn one daughter: Donna Louise (Wayne) Woodworth, Bathurst; one son: Douglas Mills (Wendy) Harvey, Knowlton, QC; one sister in law: Evelyn Mills, Bridgetown, NS; four grandchildren: Kathryn, Doug, Jessica, Lisa; five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Deveney, Joley, Lydia, Colby. Predeceased by her husband Vernon Alexander, brother Donald and sister Peggy.

She was an active member of Rebbeca Lodge, Restigouche I.O.D.E. and Past President of Knox W.A.

The funeral service was held from Knox Presbyterian Church, on Monday September 11th at 2pm. Reverand Joseph Page officiating. The Pallbearers were Gordon Harris, Eddie Martin, David Humphrey, Bill Busteed, Doug Woodworth and Bill Harvey.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Gloria Stimson

Passed away on Sept. 1, 2006 at Campbellton Regional Hospital, Gloria Stimson wife of the late George Stimson of 14 O'Leary Street,Campbellton.

Born in Campbellton on April 23, 1939 daughter of the late Calvin Hamilton and the late Julia Steeve.

Survived by a daughter Peggy Bienvenu of Edmonton Albert, one son Scott Reginald Stimson of Campbellton. Two brothers Glen Hamilton Campbellton, Gerald Hamilton Campbellton.
