Valmond Gregoire died peacefully at home on August 14, 2007, while surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of George and Doreen Gregoire both predeceased.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary, sons Jason and Stephen, brothers: Ernest (Viola), Wilfred (Charlene), Roger (Barbara), Jean Paul (Linda); sisters: Leona Basque (Dan), Irene Theriault (Pat), Rita Ouellette, Florida Thibeault (Paul), Helene Roy (Edgar), Yvonne Gingras (Charlie), Therese Gregoire (Doug), Rose Beauregard (Maurice) and his many friends.

The funeral was held on August 17, 2007, at the Notre Dame de Lourdes church in Atholville with Father Romeo Morrison officiating. Pallbearers were Michel Doiron, Irene Gionet, Rick Gray, Denis Savoie, Jean Jacques Normand and Mike Kelly. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
