Ronald Alexander MacDonald
It is with sadness and sorrow that we acknowledged the irreplaceable loss of our brother Ronnie, who passed away at the age of 54.
Ronnie was the first child of the late Margaret Ann (Thomas) and the late John Alexander MacDonald (Margie and Sandy).
His siblings, whom he leaves to mourn, are brother JOhn Harvey MacDonald (Jean), Glen Levit, N.B., and sisters Ruby Boudreau (Sandy), Robinsonville, N.B. and Julie Gyoba, Saskatoon, SK.
His extended family includes many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He had an extensive circle of friends from all walks of life.
He was a talented and skilled fisherman. His knowledge of the Restigouche and Upsalquich rivers was extensive from numerous seasons spent as a guide, warden and his own personal leisure. One always felt safe, day or night , when piloted on the water under his navigational skills.
Ronnie enjoyed the outdoors - from snowmobiling, hunting, tracking, picking fiddleheads, collecting maple syrup, fishing, canoeing and being a woodsman.
He loved to cook - sharing his numerous recipes (especially homemade spaghetti sauce) with everyone. He honed his cooking techniques in various positions at numerous restaurants, at his own home and those of many relatives and friends.
His later years were spent in Toronto, Ontario. His genuine, caring, giving spirit leaves many in mourning there. A special service was held, following his cremation, at the Chapel of Saint James, Toronto, Ontario. His memory will be kept alive through his partner, Shirley Scott and his much cherished stepdaughter, Janet. His dog "Hobo" is missing his special touch.
Ronnie's wishes were to be brought home to New Brunswick.
