Albert Howard Firlotte
The death of Albert Howard Firlotte, resident of the D.V.A. wing of the Campbellton Regional Hospital, occurred on September 14, 2005, at the age of 95.
Born in Jacquet River, NB, on May 19, 1910, he was the son of the late Albert P. Firlotte and the late Amanda Firlotte. Albert worked for 30 years as a chef/cook. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Royal Canadian Air Force Association, and the Royal Canadian Legion. He was also a veteran of World War II with the R.C.A.F.
Surviving are daughters Doris (Bill) Mercier of Chester, NS and Corinne Foster of Sarnia, Ont., sons Arnold (Ann) Firlotte of Campbellton, Bert (Diane) Firlotte of Sarnia, Ont., Raymond (Patricia) Firlotte of Grand Prairie, AB and Michael (Lorraine) Firlotte of Campbellton, sisters Mamie Lapointe of the Village Nursing Home in Campbellton. Also surviving are grandchildren Steven Firlotte, Stacy Sonier, Joan and Patti Firlotte, Dawn Lynn McPhail, Leslie Foster, Ian and Nicholas Firlotte, Andre and Lee Firlotte.
Predeceasing him was his parents Albert and Amanda, brothers Ephriam, Vincent, and Oswald, sisters Myrtle Creamer and Stella Johnson.
The funeral was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church on September 17, 2005, officiated by Father Benoit. Pallbearers were Our Lady of Snows Parish Guard. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Cecile McDonald
The death of Cecile McDonald of Archibald, wife of Murray McDonald, occurred August 25, 2005, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 77.
Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of Robert W. Carrier and Merella Godin.
She is survived by her husband: Murray of Archibald, daughters Susan Carrier (Tony) of Lorne, Charlene McDonald of New Westminster, BC, Christine Carrier (Louis) of Nash Creek, and grandchildren Christopher Carrier, Melanie Carrier, Colin McDonald, Derek Turnbull, Jonathon McDonald and many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers William R. Carrier (Zita), Manual Carrier (Anne), and Oswald Carrier (Edna).
She was predeceased by her parents, son Robert, her sister Evangeline Kenny, and brothers Ralph, Elric, and Adolphe.
Her funeral was held August 29, 2005, from St. Maria Goretti Church in Lorne, officiated by Father Lionel Comeau with burial in the Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Douglas Ronald Harquail
The death of Douglas Ronald Harquail of 15 Arran Street, Campbellton, occurred in Moncton on September 14, 2005, at the age of 28.
Born in Campbellton on May 4, 1977, he was the son of the late Barry Harquail and Kay Harquail. Doug was a student at NBCC in Moncton and also a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
Surviving is his mother Kay Harquail, brothers Russell (Estelle) Harquail and Michael Harquail, nephew Jacob, nieces Vanessa and Nova, grandmother Mary Jane Harquail, aunts and uncles: Margaret Doucet, Susan (Jacques) Mailloux, Wayne (Pierette) Harquail, Marie (Ken) Blanchard, Alice (Gail) Fairservice, Philip Harrison, Ottis (Lorraine) Harrison and Leonard (Jean) Harrison. Also surviving are godmother Claudette Harquail, great aunt Beatrice Thomas, as well as numerous cousins.
Predeceasing him was his father Barry.
The funeral was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Saturday, September 17, 2005, officiated by Father Wilfred Benoit, with interment in the parish cemetery in Campbellton. Pallbearers were Gino Legacy, Pat Lanteigne, Chris McFarlane, Aaron Smith, Israel Jean and Pat Foran. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
James Albert "Jim" LeClair
James Albert "Jim" LeClair, 73, Lakeville, N.B. died Wednesday, August 24, 2005.
Born in Campbellton, N.B., he was a son of the late Albert and Imogene (Branch) LeClair.
He is survived by his wife, the former Janet Forrest; daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Lutes, Moncton; brother, John, Ajax, Ont.; sister, Marie, Campbellton.
He was predeceased by his son, Sandy; brother, Chester and sister, Mae.
(P.S. Irene would like to add that his mother Imogene owned the first Beauty Salon in Campbellton and his father fought in both WW1 and WW2 and Jimmy was very proud of that)
Margaret Alexandra (Henderson) Craig
1921 - 2005
The death of long-time Charlo resident Margaret Alexandra (Henderson) Craig occurred in Ottawa at the home of her daughter Ann on May 26, 2005. Born in Charlo Station on May 13, 1921.
Margaret was the youngest child of the late David Henderson and Jane (MacMillan) Henderson.
Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, George, and by brothers Lloyd and John (Eileen) Henderson and MacLean (Audrey) Henderson, and sisters Jean (Cyril) Miller, and Christine (Dan) Gill.
Margaret graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1944 from the Homeopathic (later Queen Elizabeth) Hospital in Montreal, where she worked a further three years before returning to Charlo. After taking time out to care for her growing family she returned to the profession she loved, to work for some years at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dalhousie. Although home, family and friends were the focus of Margaret's life, her community also benefited from her strong work ethic and sense of duty. Following retirement from nursing she served for many years as a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society, and as a member of the St. Joseph`s Hospital Auxiliary, from which she held a Life Member pin. Throughout her life she was active in the work of St. John`s United Church in Dalhousie, serving over the years on many committees, most recently as an Elder, and in the Thrift Shop. She was a charter member of the United Church Women (UCW) of St. John`s United, having previously been a member of Ladies Aide and the Women`s Missionary Society, and was honoured with UCW Life Membership in recognition of the Offices she held at both local and presbyterial level. In her later years Margaret was active in the local Golden Age Club, and the Golden Valley Square Dance Club. Of the many awards and commendations for her contributions to the community, highlights included Charlo "Citizen of the Year" in 1990, and the 125 Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada medal in 1992.
Margaret will be sadly missed by daughter Ann (Winston) Babin of Ottawa, sons Alex (Maxine) Craig of Sea Side, NB, James (Joan) Craig of Pennfield, NB, Lloyd (Janice) Craig of Quispamsis, NB, grandchildren Craig, Matthew, Katelynn, Hugh, Colleen and Anne, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service was held from St. John's United Church in Dalhousie, with Reverend Roland Hutchinson officiating. Pallbearers were sons Alex, Jim and Lloyd Craig, grandsons Matthew Babin and Hugh Craig, and nephew Bill Craig. A group of area nurses formed an Honour Guard, and co-workers from the Thrift Shop acted as honourary pallbearers. Interment was in the Dalhousie Extension, New Mills cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie, NB.
Mary Louise Guitard
The death of Mary Louise Guitard of 405 Victoria St., Dalhousie, NB, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 9, 2005.
Born in Charlo, NB, she was the daughter of the late James Poirier and the late Melanie Mercier. She was a retired librarian, 60 year member of C.W.L., Director of the Dalhousie Library and board member, and member of Ladies Auxiliary Fire Department.
Surviving is daughter Barbara-Ann (Steve) Quinn of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, sons Philippe (Susan) of Dalhousie, Jack (Marielle) of Dalhousie, Pierre (Patty) of Dalhousie and Michael (Kathryne) of the Camen Islands, siters Shirley Guitard of Dalhousie and Elizabeth (Bessie) LePage of Ottawa, Ont. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceasing her was her husband Charles and daughter Suzanne.
The funeral was held from St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie on September 15, 2005, officiated by Rev. Bill Arseneault, with interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Dalhousie. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
