Gaston Mercier

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 29, 2007 at the age of 68, Mr. Gaston Mercier. Born in Balmoral on May 3, 1939, he was the son of the late Romeo Mercier and the late Laurina Arseneault.

He leaves to mourn his wife Esther Murphy from Balmoral, his daughters Jo-Ann (Paul) Beaudoin from Riverview and Lisa (Roch) Michaud from Moncton, his sons Michael (Sylvie) from Balmoral and Danny from Balmoral, his sister Lina (Lionel) Lebel, his brothers Odilon (Aurore), Aurèle (Emilianne), Jean-Guy (Adrienne) and Robert (Thérèse). Also survived by grandchildren Stacy Mercier and Cindy Levesque (Luc Levesque) from Val D'Amour, great-grandchildren Claudie and Anthony.

The funeral mass was held from St. Benoit Church Balmoral on Saturday September 1st at 11am. Father Lanteigne officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Balmoral.

John (Bone) Martin

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 23, 2007 at the age of 76, Mr. John (Bone) Martin. Born in Montreal on August 8, 1931, he was the son of the late William Patrick Martin and the late Emma Condo. John worked as a DJ at the radio station CHRQ for 16 years. He served in the American Army for a period of 2 years, was a member of the Listuguj American Veterans and liked to listen to country music.

He leaves to mourn his wife Rita Martin, his daughters Joanne Martin of Worcester, Mass., Margie Vallee (Doug) Leicester, Mass., Dolly Martin Olathe, Ks, Bernice Martin Listuguj, QC, Gail Sark (Willie) Eel Ground, NB and Amanda Martin of Listuguj, QC, his son John Peter Martin of Listuguj, QC (passed away on August 24th), his sisters Bernice Martin, Margie (Bulmer) Martin and Dolly Martin, his brothers Alfred Condo Martin, Wallace Elie Martin (Moon), William Patrick Martin Jr. and Matthew Martin. Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Albert Daniel Martin (Slim) and Walter Martin.

The funeral mass was held from Ste-Anne's Church Listuguj on Tuesday August 28th at 2 pm. Father Landry officiating. Interment was at the Ste-Anne's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Douglas Vallee, Scott Martin, William Sark, Brian (Moon) Martin, Lyle Wysote and Peter Arseneault.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

John Peter Martin

Passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on August 24, 2007 at the age of 29, Mr. John Peter Martin. Born in Worcester, Mass on April 1, 1979, he was the son of the late John Martin and Rita Martin. John was a fisherman for 8 years and liked music.

He leaves to mourn his girlfriend Christina Vick, his daughter Tori Martin, his sisters Joanne Martin, Margie Vallee, Dolly Martin, Bernice Martin, Gail Sark and Amanda Martin. Also survived by 21 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father John Martin.

The funeral mass was held from Ste-Anne's Church Listuguj on Tuesday August 28th at 2 pm. Father Landry officiating. Interment at Ste Anne's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chad Gedeon, Andrew Barnaby, Jason Johnson, Shawne Williamson, Mark Morrison, Alex Mieszkowski, André Bertin and Brad Wysote.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

William Edward St-Onge

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 22, 2007 at the age of 85, Mr. William Edward St-Onge. Born in Richardsville on February 4, 1922, he was the son of the late Patrick St-Onge and the late Ellen Callaghan. Bill was employed as a social worker for 35 years. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus, member of the Royal Canadian Legion, liked golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of WWII in the Canadian Army (1939-1947).

He leaves to mourn his wife Joyce T. St-Onge from Richardsville, his sons Peter St-Onge from Montreal, QC, Michael St-Onge from Amherst, NS and Bill Jr. St-Onge from South Porcupine, ON, his sisters May Arseneault from Niagara Falls, ON and Fern LeBlanc from Moncton, NB, his brother Wallace St-Onge from Niagara Falls, ON. Also survived by his grandchildren Amber Lewis, Nathan St-Onge, Justin St-Onge, Zach St-Onge, B. J. St-Onge, Lisa St-Onge, Jason St-Onge and Erin St-Onge, his two great-grandchildren Seth St-Onge and Benjamin St-Onge. Predeceased by his son Joseph Patrick "Patty" St-Onge, his brothers Henry St-Onge and Lawrence St-Onge, his sisters Edna Cook and Alice Richardson.

The funeral mass was held from Mary Queen Church Richardsville on Monday August 27th at 11am. Father Morrison officiating. Interment was at McLeod's siding. Pallbearers were his 6 grandchildren B. J. St-Onge, Lisa St-Onge, Jason St-Onge, Nathan St-Onge, Justin St-Onge and Zach St-Onge.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
