Alphe H. Arseneault
Alphe H. Arseneault of Dalhousie Junction, passed away September 8, 2006, at the DVA Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 82. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Arseneault of Dalhousie and husband of June (Roberts) Arseneault.
Besides his wife June, he is survived by 3 sisters Theresa, Agatha and Shirley and brother Ben, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Alphe served his country Canada, in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean area, and Continental Europe as a Gunner with the 6th Anti-tank Regiment, attached to the 1st Division from 1942 - 1946. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17. He worked for the NBIP mill in Dalhousie for 46 1/2 years. He enjoyed hunting, and all outdoor activities. Funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel, Dalhousie, September 11, 206 with Rev. Silas Matchett and Pastor Glen Steven of Pentecostal Assembly presiding. Interment followed at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Arseneault, Alan Godin, Mark Miller, Ricky Gilles, Myles Good and Kevin Jagoe.
Mary Mae Martin
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 26, 2006, at the age of 88, Mrs. Mary Mae Martin of the Village Nursing Home.
She leaves to mourn her Daughter: Betty Ann Martin Aubie (Douglas) of Campbellton; Step- Daughters: Pam and Valarie Martin of England; Daughter-in-Law: Judy Harquail of Dalhousie; Son: Peter Martin (Jane) of Campbellton; Sister: Elizabeth Harquail of Dalhousie; also survived by grandchildren: Tyson, Raymond, Katie, Margie, Bella and Gordon; great grandchildren: Nathan and Ashley; nephews: Michael, David and Edward Valdron. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Martin, her parents, her son Gregory Harquail (Judy) of Dalhousie, sister Doreen Valdron of Dalhousie.
The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church, on Thursday September 28th at 11am. Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Eulogy given by her grandson Raymond. Internment took place at the St. Thomas Aquinas cemetery. Pallbearers were Douglas Aubie, Tyson Aubie, Raymond Martin, Roger Arseneault, Ron Firth and Armand Allard.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Randall (Randy) Bradstreet
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 30, 2006, at the age of 49, Mr. Randall (Randy) Bradstreet of the Beausejour Residence in Pointe-à-la-Croix.
He leaves to mourn his Son: Jonathan Dedam, Big Cove, N.B.; Sisters: Valerie White (Jim) Hubert, North Carolina USA, Mary Bradstreet Metallic (Howard), Prince Albert Saskatchewan, Molly Bradstreet Barnaby (Sam), Listuguj, QC, Nancy Bradstreet, Gesgapesiag, QC; Brother: George Jr. Bradstreet, Guilford, Conn USA; also survived by several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and Aunts Lillian Wilmot Dedam, Listuguj, QC and Deliah Watson, Maine USA. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Evelyn Bradstreet and Carolyn B. Dedam.
The funeral mass was held from St. Anne's Church, Listuguj, QC on Tuesday October 3rd at 11am. Father Landry officiating. Internment took place at the St. Anne's cemetery. Pallbearers were Brent Condo, Patrick Mallette, Mark Morrison and Joshua Bradstreet.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Stella Donna Cumming
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 15, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Stella Donna Cumming (née Butt), Wife of George C. Cumming 86 Restigouche Drive, Tide Head. She was born on April 20th 1910, in St. John's, Newfoundland, daughter of the late William and Eliza Butt.
She was for many years a member of Christ Church Choir and WA, also of the IODE, Caladonian Society of Restigouche and NB Scottish Cultural Association. She is survived by her husband, George of Tide Head; son, George Ian and daughter-in-law, Terri of Montague, PEI; grandchildren, Misty G. MacKenzie of St. Catherines, PEI, Amber D. Brooks of Orangeville, ON, and Holly G. Cumming of Montague, PEI; also one sister, Marjorie Hall of Fredricton, NB, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters, Carol and Rosalind; brothers, William Butt of St. John=s NL; and Tasker Butt of Jacksonville, FL, sisters, May Williams and Hettie Sullivan of St. John=s, NL.
Her Funeral was held on Monday, September 18th , 2006 from Christ Church, Campbellton, NB, conducted by the Reverend Arnold Godsoe. Internment took place at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. Bagpipe selections were played by piper Archie Babcock. Pallbearers were granddaughters, Misty MacKenzie of PEI, Amber Brooks of ON, Holly Cumming of PEI, nephews George Murphy of St. John=s NL and Gerald Hall of Burton, NB., and Garth Mackenzie of PEI.
Arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
