Charles "Clark" Button
Charles "Clark" Button, 76, passed away September 7th, 2007 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Dalhousie, April 13th, 1931, he was the son of the late Charles and Daisy (Hounsell) Button. He was a retired papermaker. Clark was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (MacNair) of Dalhousie; children Tom (Elizabeth), Linda (Matthew) Blundell, Bruce and Beth; grandchildren; Tessa, Ben, Isaac, Aaron and Zachary; brother, Ronald; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Dorothy, Pricilla, Christina, William, and Kathryn.
The Funeral service was held at 2 pm on Tuesday, September 11th 2007, from the Presbyterian Church, Dalhousie.
In Clark's memory, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie, NB.
Charles Hezikah Kierstead
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 2, 2007 at the age of 80, Mr. Charles Hezikah Kierstead. Born in Campbellton on December 18, 1926, he was the son of the late Patrick James Kierstead and the late Melvina Cormier. He worked for the C.N.R. for 40 years and was a member of the Locklomond Fishing Lodge.
He leaves to mourn his daughter Peggy L. Michaud (Henry) of Cambellton, his son Michael D. Kierstead (Vivien) of Bathurst, his sisters Virginia Aucoin (late Cecil) of Campbellton and Geraldine Smallbone (Bert) of Campbellford, Ontario. Also survived by his grandchildren Dean Michaud (Adrian) of Ottawa, Robbie & David Michaud of Fredericton & Miramichi, Susan Stapleton (Roger) of Elmsdale, NS, Michael Kierstead (Sonia) of Halifax, NS, his great-grandchildren Ainsley & Evan Stapleton of Elmsdale, NS, Geoffrey Michaud of Ottawa, ON and Dante Charles Kierstead of Halifax, NS, several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Myrtle (Benwell), his brothers Edwin and Patrick, his sisters Eileen and Ermah and great-granddaughter Katey Evans.
The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Saturday September 8th at 2pm. Reverend Arnold Godsoe officiating. Interment was the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Dean, Robbie, David Michaud and Michael Kierstead.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Gary Dey Jr.
Passed away suddenly after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the age of 40. Gary, cherished father of Brittany, Kyle and Katrina. Adored son of Sylvia and the late Gary. Loving brother of Robin. Will be missed by aunts and uncles, cousins and close family friends. Chief is fondly remembered by his many co-workers. Visitation took place at the Oshawa Funeral Home in Oshawa. His funeral was held from St. Marie Goretti Church Lorne, Monday September 3, 2007 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Harry Alfred Dryden
Peacefully in his sleep at Mountain Lea Lodge in Bridgetown, NS on the morning of August 24, 2007, where he had resided since December 2005, at the age of 93.
Harry Dryden of Campbellton was born in Moncton, NB on February 12, 1914. The son of the late Harvey and late Nana Dell Dryden. Harry was a retired CN engineer.
Loving husband of 64 years to the late Priscilla Henrietta Dryden and loving father of Mark Dryden. He will be sadly missed.
Predeceased by his son Glen Howard Dryden and his sisters Mildred Murray (late Ernie), Frances Hughes (Bill) and Gladys Dryden and brother Jerry Dryden (Viola). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Service was held from Maher's Funeral Home Chapel on August 31, 2007. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
John Ouellette
Est décédé à l'hôpital Georges Dumont de Moncton, le 4 septembre, 2007 à l'âge de 82 ans, Monsieur John Ouellette. Né à Campbellton le 12 août, 1925, il était le fils de feu Thomas Ouellette et de feue Laura Phillipe.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Anges Ouellette de Campbellton, ses filles Jeannine Charest (Omer) de Campbellton, Cécile Perron (Théophile) de Maltais, Nicole St-Clair (Yvon) de St-Arthur, Simonne Levesque (Jean-Claude) de Campbellton, Suzanne Veilleux (Jacques) de St-Arthur et Johanne Bujold (Fernand) de Maltais, ses sœurs Anna Lavoie de Toronto et Loretta Wilmot de London, ON, son demi-frère Francis Girard. Ainsi que 13 petits-enfants, 15 arrières petits-enfants et une arrière arrière petite-fille.
Prédécédé par son fils Roger, ses arrières arrières petits-fils Renaud Ouellette et Michel Perron, son gendre Omer Charest, ses parents, ses frères Henri et Sylvio, sa sœur Jeanne.
Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l'Église Notre Dame des Neiges de Campbellton, vendredi le 7 septembre à 16h00. Père Morrison comme célébrant. Les porteurs étaient Jacques Veilleux, Gaetan Veilleux, Fernand Bujold, Théophile Perron, Yvon St-Clair et Marc Charest.
Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Campbellton.
Martha Bujold
Est décédée à l'hôpital régional de Campbellton, le 31 août, 2007 à l'âge de 87 ans, Madame Martha Bujold. Née à Maria, QC le 9 octobre 1919, elle était la fille de feu Charles LeBlanc et de feue Mélanie Boudreau.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles Ghislaine Bujold et Pierrette (Claude) Arsenault, ses fils Donald Bujold (Margarite) et Roger Bujold (Manon). Ainsi que ses petits-enfants Renée, Dean, Danis-Claude, Rémi, Tony et Nadine et son arrière petite-fille Ema Bujold.
Prédécédée par son époux Alonzo Bujold, sa sœur Dorothy LeBlanc (Wilfred Bujold), ses frères Henry et Gaby LeBlanc.
Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l'Église Ste Trinité de Eel River Crossing, lundi le 3 septembre à 11h00. Père Landry comme célébrant. Les porteurs étaient Dean Bujold, Danis-Claude Arsenault, Rémi Arsenault, Tony Bujold, François Allard et Ben Hoggan.
Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Balmoral.
Sheila Garrett
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 5, 2007 at the age of 78, Mrs. Sheila Garrett. Born in Lewisville, NB on April 5, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Paul Doucet and the late Marie Johnson.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Sharon Garrett (Zachary), her sons Kenny Garrett (Mary) and Wayne Doucet (Mary Ellen), her sisters Gloria Belliveau (Earl) and Sandra Hachey (Gerald), her brother Boyd Fitzpatrick (Annie). Also survived by her grandchildren Lionel, Michael-John & Jennifer Doucet, Stephanie & David Garrett. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Garrett.
The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Sunday September 9th at 2pm. Reverend Douglas Phillip officiating. Interment was at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery.
Mary Stella Furlotte
Furlotte; Mary Stella was born on December 1, 1921 and died at West Coast General Hospital on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 85 years of age following complications from surgery.
Stella was born the youngest of 9 children to Paul and Marie Savoy (nee Arseneau) in Campbellton, New Brunswick. She is predeceased by her parents, siblings and her late husband Joseph Lawrence Furlotte.
She is survived by her children William Donald Furlotte (Bernice) of Wilmot, Nova Scotia, Cheryl-Ann Findlay of Houston, Texas and Linda St. Claire (Ian) of Port Alberni, her beloved grandchildren: Corbin Gislason of Prince George and Laura Gislason of Port Alberni who knew her as "Buddy", Jeffery Furlotte (Jennifer) of Aylesford, Nova Scotia and LeeAnn Furlotte of Cold Lake, Alberta, great grandchildren Keegan and Quin of Aylesford, Nova Scotia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stella leaves behind a legacy of hard work and community spirit. She worked in numerous places in Port Alberni and volunteered for 18 years for Fir Park and Echo Village, which she recieved a "Citizen of the Year" award for. Stella spent the last year of her life living at Echo Village.
All of her work and volunteer hours cenetered around serving people. She especially loved young people, dancing and spending time with her family.
There will be no service by request. Cremation. If desired, donations may be made in Stella's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, PO Box 255, Port Alberni, BC V5Y 7M7. Condolences may be sent to the family at lstclaire@shaw.ca.
