Glen Furlotte

The death of Glen Furlotte of Montreal and formerly of Jacquet River occurred on May 2, 2002, at the Montreal General Hospital at the age of 61.

Born in Jacquet River, the son of Irvine Furlotte and Eva (Long), he was an employee of the Montreal Gazette for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Furlotte (Francois) of Aylmer, Quebec and Judy Furlotte (Roger) of Laval, Quebec; his estranged wife, Marjorie (Russell); one brother, Cletus of Toronto, eight sisters, Norma Hickey of Jacquet River, Wanda Price of Fredericton, Janet Moore of Scarborough, Linda Adams of Jacquet River, Mary Jean Furlotte of Jacquet River, Lorraine O'Brien of Jacquet River, Ann Furlotte of Toronto and Nancy Furlotte of Jacquet River; six grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father and one brother, Clinton.

Funeral services were held from St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, on May 6 with Father Wifred Benoit presiding, with burial in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rodney Guitard, Arnold Guitard, Patrick Jr. Hickey, Gordon Russell, Floyd Legacy and Robert Loubert.

Funeral arragements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Doreen Richard

The death of Doreen Richard of Dalhousie occurred April 27, 2002, at the age of 50.

Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of Edgar Carrier and Lydia (Richard).

She is survived by her parents, Edgar and Lydia; her husband, Clement LaPointe; two daughters, Rachel LaPointe (Terry Pictou) of Eel River Bar and Audrey Herrera (Richey) of North York, Ontario; one son , Clement Jr. LaPointe of Dalhousie; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Lenny (Ann) of Gravelhill and Steven (Kim) of Dalhousie; and one sister, Janice Carrier of Dalhousie.

Her funeral service was held from Our Lady of the Visitation Church, Benjamin River on April 30, officiated by Father Comeau, with burial in the parish cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Evangeline Kehoe

The death of Evangeline Kehoe of Dalhousie occurred on April 30, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Dalhousie, at the age of 83.

She was born in Charlo on September 4 1918 to Donat LeBlanc and Agnes McIntyre and was a retired school teacher.

She is survived by her daughter, Branda Lee Morasse, of Methuen, Mass., U.S.A.; her sister Robertine Bujold of Dalhousie and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Funeral services were held on May 3 from St, John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, with Rev. E. Camberlain officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.

Funeral arragements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home , Campbellton.
