Wilfred Goulette

The death of Wilfred Goulette of Blair Athol, N.B., occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 30, 2004, at the age of 89.

He is survived by his daughters Aurore Dube (Philippe) of Maltais, Blanche Omerine Turgeon (Romuald) of Maltais, Elizabeth Thompson (Malcolm) of Campbellton, Fernande Hache (Alyre) of Maltais, Mariana Goulette (Donald) of Maltais, Adelia Goulette of Ontario, Cecile Goulette (Allan) of Campbellton, Adelaide Goulette (Edese) of Blair Athol, Nathalie Poirier (Johnny) of Balmoral, Lillianne Goulette (Daniel) of Blair Athol and Celestine Goulette (Florent) of Campbellton; sons Treffle Goulette (Lorraine) of Maltais, David Goulette (Micheline) of St Omer, Quebec, Seprien Goulette (Jeannine) of Eel River Crossing and Fleurient Goulette (Melanie) of Blair Athol; brother Fernando Goulette (Bernadette Drapeau) of Campbellton; 28 grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Diana Goulette (1997) and his granddaughter Carolane Goulette (1999).

Isabel Frenette

The death of Isabel Frenette, wife of the late Allison Frenette occurred Saturday September 25, 2004, at St Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie at the age of 90.

Born in Benjamin River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Mercier and Catherine Gagne.

She is survived by her son John Frenette (Sandra) of New Mills, and daughters Judy Babin (James ) of Benjamin River and Mary Ouellette (Bertrand) of Dalhousie. She is also survived by five grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Allison, brothers Crandel and Wilfred as well as a sister Mary.

Howard E. Wheeler

Sackville, NB, Howard E. Wheeler, age 92, of Sackville NB., passed away suddenly on Septempber 27, 2004 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Runnymede P.Q., on October 7, 1911, he was the son of David and Grace (Dawson) Wheeler.

Howard was a farmer and a salmon guide in his younger years, was a produce manager until his retirement, and was a member of active service during the war. Howard was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, loved his garden and was an avid card player and storyteller.

Howard is survived by his wife Margaret Wheeler; one son Eric (Dorothy) Wheeler, both of Sackville, N.B., one daughter Barbara H. Wheeler of Fredericton, N.B.; one sister-in-law Margaret Wheeler of Dalhousie, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. Howard was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was predeceased by his son Gordon Wheeler in 2001.

Francis Lapointe

The death of Francis Lapointe of Gravelhill, occurred at the Bathurst Hospital, September 24, 2004, at the age of 66.

Born in Gravelhill, he was the son of Frank Lapointe and Frances Dempsey.

He is survived by his brothers James (Catherine) of Seaside, Clement of Gravelhill, Lawrance (Joyce) of Gravelhill, Leonard (Julia) of Gravelhill, and Everette (Elaine) of Gravelhill.

He is also survived by his sisters Gertie Hickey of Nash Creek, Janie Bertin of Gravelhill, Mona Richards (Leander) of New Mills, Florence Halloway of Toronto, Roselyn Mallaley (Andy) of Lorne, Cora Lavigne of Gravelhill and Doris Carrier of Jacquet River. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Frances Lapointe and brothers Delphis and Basil.
