Margaret Edna Gray

The death of Margaret Edna Gray of 411 Sansom St., Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 28, 2005, at the age of 58.

Born in Dalhousie on April 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Mathias Gray and Edna Stever. Margaret worked as a secretary/grocery store, she was also a member of the CWL and Girl Guides of Canada.

Surviving are her sisters Irene (Tom) Janes of Florida, Ann (Chuck) Robertson of Prince George, BC, Judy (Charles) Nelson of Winnipeg, MB, Dawn (Ken) Savoie of Dalhousie, and Pam (Bryan) Mullen of Beamsville, ON, brothers Thom (Therese) of Meford, ON and Edwin (Mabel) of Dalhousie. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews also great nieces and great nephews.

Predeceasing were her parents Mathias and Edna, her brother Robert and her sister Elizabeth. The funeral service was held from St. John the Bosco Church in Dalhousie on October 3, 2005, officiated by Father Bill Arseneau, with interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Sadie Guitard Beattie

The death of Sadie Guitard Beattie of the Dalhousie Nursing Home and formerly of Nash Creek, occurred September 29, 2005, at the age of 93.

Born in West Branch, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of Hugh Cook and Lexie Langille.

She is survived by her sons: Alonzo (Blondine) of Charlo, Claude (Nancy) of Brampton, Gabriel (Angie) of Pointe Verte, daughters Ruth Doucet (Henry) of Bathurst, and Jenean Audit of Jacquet River. Also, surviving are 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husbands Aurele Guitard, and William Beattie, grandson Allain Audit, brother Hugh, and sisters Margaret, Ruth, Bella, Helen, Elizabeth, and Janet.

Her funeral was held October 1, 2005, from St. Joseph's Church, Nash Creek, officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Kirk Mallaley, Sean Mallaley, Johnny Mallaley, Chris Guitard, Ronnie Guitard and Rodney Smearer. Honorary Pallbearers were Billy Harvie, Lloyd Harvey, Nicky Mallaley, Freddy Rosengren, Dale Smearer and Harvie Murchie.
