Charles Kierstead

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 2, 2007 at the age of 80. Born in Campbellton on December 18, 1926, he was the son of the late Patrick James Kierstead and the late Melvina (Cormier) Kierstead. He worked for the C.N.R. for 40 years and was a member of the Loch Lomond Fishing Lodge.

He leaves to mourn his daughter Peggy L. Michaud (Henry) of Cambellton, his son Michael D. Kierstead (Vivien) of Bathurst, his sisters Virginia Aucoin (late Cecil) of Campbellton and Geraldine Smallbone (Bert) of Campbellford, Ontario. He is also survived by his grandchildren Dean Michaud (Adrian) of Ottawa, Robbie & David Michaud of Fredericton & Miramichi, Susan Stapleton (Roger) of Elmsdale, NS, Michael Kierstead (Sonia) of Halifax, NS, his great-grandchildren Ainsley & Evan Stapleton of Elmsdale, NS, Geoffrey Michaud of Ottawa, ON and Dante Charles Kierstead of Halifax, NS, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Myrtle (Benwell), his brothers Edwin and Patrick, his sisters Eileen and Ermah and great-granddaughter Katey Evans.

The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel, Campbellton on Saturday September 8th at 2pm, with Reverend Arnold Godsoe officiating. Interment was at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Dean, Robbie and David Michaud and Michael Kierstead.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Jo-Ann Dobson

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 12, 2007 at the age of 48, Mrs. Jo-Ann Dobson. Born in Campbellton on August 4, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Glenford Dobson and Earleen McDavid Dobson.

She leaves to mourn her mother Earleen McDavid Dobson, her daughter Karen Martin from Alberta, her sons Arden Martin from Alberta and Brian Martin from Pointe-à-la-Garde, QC, her sisters Jeanie (Brennan) Pike of Pointe-à-la-Garde, Bonnie (Joey) Adams of Montreal, Wendy (Glen) Young of Pointe-à-la-Garde, Debbie (Tony) Curtis of Pointe-à-la-Garde and Kim Dobson (Regis Lagacy) of Pointe-à-la-Garde, her brothers Glenford Dobson Jr. of Pointe-à-la-Garde and Derrick (Sharon) Dobson of Montreal. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and ex-husband Kenneth Martin. Predeceased by her father Glenford Martin.

The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Monday at 2 pm. Reverend Raymond Kraglund officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Rita (Gallant) Noble

Passed away at the CLSC Malauze in Matapedia on September 8, 2007 at the age of 78, Mrs. Rita (Gallant) Noble. Born in Matapedia, QC on July 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Félicien Gallant and the late Marianne Tremblay. She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of the Golden Age Club.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Marilyn (Gary) Cleal, her son Robert (Cindy) Noble, her sisters Dolores (Paul) Gagnon, Roselyne (late husband Roddy) Blais and Anne (Ken) Anderson, her brothers Hermel (Salvina) Gallant, Elzéar (Barbara) Gallant, Henri Gallant and Gilles (Christiane) Gallant, sister-in-law Patsy (Louis) Gallant. Also survived by her grandchildren Stephanie Garrett, Jocelyn Noble, David Garrett, Robert Noble, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband David, brothers Louis Gallant and Harold Gallant.

The funeral mass was held from St. Laurent Catholic Church Matapedia on Tuesday September 11th at 2pm. Father Marien Bossé officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
