Bonnie Roberta Banks

Bonnie Roberta Banks 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 4, 2008, at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 24, 1951 in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Christine (Irvine) Mann. Bonnie was a member of the M.D.A.C., Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada. Surviving are husband Bruce, Saint John; a son Christopher Banks, Saint John; a daughter Shannon Banks, Saint John; a brother Robert Kierstead, Tide Head, NB; Joyce Kierstead, Tide Head, NB; Lois (Donald) Crozier, Moncton; Grace (Milton) Fitzgerald, Watterdown, ON; Dawn Gallie, Glen Coe, NB; Brenda (Terry) McKinney, Fredericton, NB; besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother Randolph Mann. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 9, 2008 at 2 pm from Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada. Ada Frenette

The death of Ada Frenette of Jacquet River occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Saturday, September 27,2008 at the age of 76. Born in Jacquet River,she was the daughter of the late Irvin Hickey & the late Anne Shannon. Ada was first & foremost a mother & grandmother, but she worked outside the home from the time she was a teenager practically to the time of her death. From bookkeeping to storekeeper to village clerk, Ada worked passionately with her community no matter the job. There was nothing more important to Ada than her friends & family. She will be remembered most for sharing stories from her kitchen table,(and a meal), sewing,knitting or quilting for her loved ones.Ada lived life to the fullest and treasured every moment of her life. She would want to be remembered for her laughter & her love, and her gratitude for her many blessings. She is survived by her sons; Michael (Kim) of Fredericton, Robert(Joey) of London,daughters; Audrey Frenette Donnelly (Lloyd) of Jacquet River, Shanna Harquail (Lloyd) of Florenceville, grandchildren; Cullan Harquail, Kate Harquail, Shannon Donnelly, sisters; Iva Jenkins, Kathleen Delahunt, Frances Smith, Monica Bourque & brothers Owen & Evan. Ada was pre-deceased by her husband Cully;sisters Theresa Hickey & Inez Mazerolle as well as her brother Irvine. Her funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church,Jacquet River, Tuesday,Sept.30,2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson & assisted by Father Bill Arseneault & Father Greg Culligan.Pallbearers were Bruce Audit, Shawn Rosengren, Evan Smith, Keith Hickey, Paul Mazerolle & Terry Delahunt.Honorary pallbearers were the C.W.L. & her card playing friends. Ruth Barber

Ruth Barber, formerly of Dalhousie, died at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Calgary on September 24th, 2008, at the age of 65. She was the beloved wife of Bill Mellett and the daughter of the late Jack and Doris Barber.A Grave Side Service was held in Calgary at Mountain View Memorial Gardens on September 30th, 2008. Ruth is fondly remembered by her close friends of 50 plus years - Carol, Gayle, Nancy and Peggy. Rest in Peace dear friend Ruthie.

David Thomas

The death of David Thomas of Archibald occurred on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 68. Born in Toronto,he was the son of the late Geraldine Molloy & Frank Thomas. David is survived by his sons, Michael (Denise) of Archibald, Kevin of Red Deer AL., grandaughter Amanda as well as his brother Frank of Archibald. His funeral was held from St. Gabriels Church, Jacquet River, Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson. Angeline Landry

Angeline Landry Deceased at 87 years of age at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 13, 2008. She was predeceased by husband Francis Landry and son Claude. She is survived by her five daughters: Francine, Yvette, Dianne (Kim Reith), Suzanne (Serge Minville), Angèle (Germain LeBlanc), four sons: Gerald (Julie Jardine), Richard (Brenda), Jean Claude and Michel, five grandchildren: Marc, Ryan, Deanna, Jean Claude, Melissa, and one great-grandchildren, Alexandra. Priscilla (Furlotte) Stansfield

In Loving Memory Of Priscilla (Furlotte) Stansfield (Nee Guitar) 79 Years Tuesday, October 14th, 2008 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Laurentian Site. Beloved wife of Murray Joseph Furlotte and William Stansfield both predeceased. Loving mother of Jacqueline (husband Roger Leclaire), Marjorie (husband Gerry Egers) and Catherine (husband Mark Chenier). Cherished grandmother of Michelle, Ron, Cathy, Jamie, Jodi, Jason, Amy and great grandchildren Jordan, Brooke, Ashley, Emily, Nico, Mateo, Jakob and Lucas. Sadly missed by her adopted family Tiny and Sharon, her best friend and wonderful supporter of the family. Reg Park and her siblings, Joyce, Joan, Elsworth, Odel, Gabriel, Jack, Arthur, Paul and Larry. Born in Restigouche, New Brunswick, she worked as a custodian with the Sudbury Board of Education for 25 years. Priscilla will be lovingly remembered as a very special mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved life, traveling and especially playing euchre with her friends. At Priscilla's request there will be no public visitation or service, Cremation. Donations to the Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.

James R MacIntyre
1937-2008

James "Jim" MacIntyre, 71, of Campbellton NB passed away Sunday October 12, 2008, at the Moncton Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jim was one of 9 children of the late E.J. "Ed" MacIntyre and A.L. "Loucille" (Chisholm) MacIntyre. He worked for the City of Campbellton for 35 years in many capacities, the last ten years as Director of Parks and Recreation. He had many passions in his life including family, the outdoors and hockey. Jim enjoyed salmon fishing on the Restigouche, hunting and his daily walk around Campbellton's Terry Fox Trail. One of his greatest loves was hockey in Campbellton where he played and coached for 25 years. Many of these teams won New Brunswick Championships and several went on to win Maritime Championships. He is a member of the Campbellton Sports Hall of Fame both as a player and a coach. His presences will be missed in the "Coaches Corner" at future Civic Center hockey games. His greatest passion was his family taking great pride in the accomplishments and deeds of his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by 2 sisters Eva (Bud) Stewart of Dalhousie, NB, and Alsa Ferguson of Campbellton, NB; 4 brothers, twin brother Allie (Linda) of Fredericton, AL "Rusty" (Ellen) of Barrie ON, Boyd (Carole) of St Catherines ON, and Don (Sharon) of Sackville, NB; also many nieces and nephews, including one special niece Phyllis Porter who cared for him on many of his trips to Moncton for treatments. Jim was predeceased by one brother EA "Murph" (Vera) of Arnprior ON; one sister Ruby (Phil) Caron of Moncton NB; and one nephew Andrew Ferguson of Halifax, NS. There will be no visitation or funeral at Jim's request. A private graveside service will be held on November 8, 2008 followed by a public Memorial Reception (Celebration of his life) at the Campbellton Memorial Civic Center. Time 3:00 pm Donations in his name can be made to a charity of choice.

Joséphine Jones

Joséphine Jones Est décédée paisiblement entourée de sa famille le 15 octobre 2008 à l'âge de 82 ans, Joséphine (Pelletier) Jones de Gatineau et autrefois de Dalhousie épouse de feu Frank Jones. Née a charlo (Selwood) le 7 septembre 1926, fille de feu Arthur Pelletier et de feue Emilie Nadeau. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, Roland (Isabelle), Anne (Robert) et Suzanne (Liette) ; 6 petits-enfants et 6 arrières petits-enfants ainsi que 3 soeurs, Adrienne Labrecque, Victoria Bernard et Marie Louise Pelletier et 2 frères, Antoine Pelletier et Marc Pelletier. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux, Frank Jones et son fils, Uldéric (Alice). Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l'Église St. Jean Baptiste de Dalhousie, le samedi 18 octobre à 11h00. Le célébrant, Père Réjean Landry. Inhumation au cimetière paroissiale. Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Dalhousie.
