Arthur Methot

Passed way at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 11, 2007, at the age of 71, Mr. Arthur Methot. Born in Dalhousie, January 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Emile Methot and the late Rose Rousell.

He is survived by his brothers, Benoit (Liette) and Camille (Laura); and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Frank.

Funeral service was held on Friday, September 14, from St. John Bosco Church. In Arthur's memory, donations can be made to the Restigouche County S.P.C.A. or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie, NB.

Bernice Anna Martin

Passed away at the CLSC Malauze in Matapedia, QC on September 13, 2007 at the age of 81, Mrs. Bernice Anna Martin. Born in Listuguj, QC on May 17, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William P. Martin and the late Emma Condo Martin.

She leaves to mourn 7 children Jeannie Lapointe Raymond of Houston, Tx, William Lapointe of Montreal, QC, Tom Lapointe of Montreal, QC, Judy Lapointe Goyer of Calgary, AB, Cindy MacKenzie Barber of Montreal, QC, Malcolm MacKenzie Jr. of Montreal, QC and Stuart MacKenzie of Montreal, QC, 2 sisters Margie Martin Bulmer of Listuguj, QC and Dolly Martin Shaw of Montreal, QC, 4 brothers Matthew Martin of Listuguj, QC, Alfred Condo Martin of Montreal, QC, Wally Martin of Listuguj, QC and Billy Boy Martin of Listuguj, QC.

Predeceased by her brothers Albert Slim Martin, Walter Martin and Johnny Bone Martin.

The funeral mass was held from Ste. Anne's Church Listuguj on Saturday September 22nd at 11am. Father Landry officiating. Pallbearers were Ronnie Martin, Scott Martin, Rene Martin and Brian Bulmer.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Emery Macmillan

Passed away peacefully at the Restigouche Regional Hospital on Tuesday September 11, 2007, J. C. Emery MacMillan, loving husband of the late Margaret McLaughlin, in his 93rd year. Born in Campbellton on March 20, 1915, Emery was the son of the late William F. MacMillan and Sarah Grace Cooper. He worked as a machinist, originally for McLennan's Foundry, then joining CN Railways, where he remained until his retirement at age 65. Mr. MacMillan is survived by his children, John, Jeannie (Colin) Graham, Gerald (Lynda), and Sherry. He leaves eight grandchildren, Rick and Colin MacMillan, Christine (Bruce) Stafford, Jessica (Stephen) Smith, Chris (Jennifer) Graham, Katherine MacMillan, Meghan and Stephen MacMillan. In addition, he leaves 11 great-grandchildren, Ian and Jamie MacMillan, Aaron, Sarah and Jared Stafford, Evan, Lucas John and Samuel Smith, Taylor, Reilly and Cameron Jack Graham Also surviving are two brothers, Sandy and Jim, and two sisters, Allie Howard and Maxine White, as well as his nieces Sandra Murray, Phyllis MacMillan, Maxine MacMillan, Jeannie Howard and Susan White. He was predeceased by two brothers, George and Jack, two sisters, Helen and Myrtle, and his nephew, Jim MacMillan. Also mourning his passing are Sharon MacMillan and Valerie McLaughlin. Arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton. Funeral service was held at First United Church, Campbellton on Saturday September, 15 at 4:00 PM with Reverend Kraglund officiating. Interment followed at Campbellton Rural Cemetery.

Jo-Ann Dobson

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 12, 2007 at the age of 48, Mrs. Jo-Ann Dobson. Born in Campbellton on August 4, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Glenford Dobson and Earleen McDavid Dobson.

She leaves to mourn her mother Earleen McDavid Dobson, her daughter Karen Martin from Alberta, her sons Arden Martin from Alberta and Brian Martin from Pointe-à-la-Garde, QC, her sisters Jeanie (Brennan) Pike of Pointe-à-la-Garde, Bonnie (Joey) Adams of Montreal, Wendy (Glen) Young of Pointe-à-la-Garde, Debbie (Tony) Curtis of Pointe-à-la-Garde and Kim Dobson (Regis Lagacy) of Pointe-à-la-Garde, her brothers Glenford Dobson Jr. of Pointe-à-la-Garde and Derrick (Sharon) Dobson of Montreal. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and ex-husband Kenneth Martin.

The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Monday at 2 pm. Reverend Raymond Kraglund officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Joseph Arthur Lejeune

Passed away in Lewis Lake, NS on September 17, 2007 at the age of 64, Mr. Joseph Arthur Lejeune. Born in Pointe Verte, NB on May 8, 1943, he was the son of the late Francis Lejeune and Marie Rose Guitard. Art was a District Director for veteran's affairs for a period of 35 years. His interests were fishing, gardening and spending time with family & friends.

He leaves to mourn his wife Mary-Ann Pratt Lejeune, his mother Marie Rose Lejeune (Guitard), his daughter Jennifer Lejeune-Nixon (Steve), his son Brian (Jennifer) from Saint John and Marc (Christine) from Campbellton, his sisters Linda Lejeune from Calgary, Annette Lejeune from Beresford, Aline Lejeune (Ronald) from Robertville and Angèle Lejeune (Marcel) from Gatineau, QC, his brothers Camille from Pointe Verte and François (Nicole) from Tracadie, step-daughter Tracey-Lynn Beyea from Saint John, stepson David Beyea from Saint John. Also survived by his granddaughters Lauren and Summer-Dawn, grandsons Hudson, David and Alexander, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Francis Lejeune, sisters Andrea Murphy, Marguerite Lejeune and Elizabeth Lejeune.

The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Monday September 24th at 11am. Father Bill Arsenault officiating. Pallbearers were Brian Lejeune, Denis Maltais, Reginald Pelletier, Philip Trites, Marc Lejeune and François Lejeune.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Kathleen Mary Vautour

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 14, 2007 at the age of 81, Mrs. Kathleen Mary Vautour. Born in Black Point, NB on February 13, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Austin Paul Devereaux and the late Ida Elizabeth McGregor. She worked in the Dietary Dept. of the Campbellton Hotel Dieu for 35 years. She was a member of Mary Queen Catholic Church, Richardsville and the Richardsville Golden Age Club.

She leaves to mourn her daughters Margaret Alexander of Calgary, Alberta, Ida Vautour of Moncton, NB, Charlene Lewis (Wayne) of Tide Head, NB, Bernadette Chamberlain (Jack) of Victoria, BC and Susan Vautour of Charlotte, NC USA, her sons Paul Devereaux (Veronica) of Moncton, NB, Charles Vautour (Carol) Slave Lake, Alberta and Kevin Vautour (Sherri) of Tide Head, NB, her sister Thelma Brimsacle of Archibald Settlement, NB. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Charles Vautour, 17 sisters and brothers.

The funeral mass was held from Mary Queen Church Richardsville on Monday September 17th at 11am.

Marion White

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 14, 2007 at the age of 82, Mrs. Marion White. Born in Chatham, NB on August 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William Savoy and the late Mary O'Neal.

She leaves to mourn her sons Foryst White (Thelma) and Keith White (Aline), her sister Anna Savoy of Atholville, her brother James Savoy (Isabelle) of Atholville, as well as her grandchildren Jason White (Nicole) of Miramichi and Wyatt White of Halifax, NS, her great-grandchildren Jarvis & Keegan White, several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Hall James White, brothers Tom, William & Harold Savoy.

The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Monday September 17th at 10:30am. Father Bill Arsenault officiating. Pallbearers were Jason White, Wyatt White, Michael O'Connell, Mark Savoy, David Savoy and Thierry Landry.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Mr. Michel (Mike) Levesque

Passed away at his residence in Tide Head on September 17, 2007 at the age of 57, Mr. Michel (Mike) Levesque. Born in Campbellton on June 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Henri Levesque and the late Alice Anglehart. Mr. Levesque was formerly Manager at the Caisse Populaire.

He leaves to mourn his wife Betty-Ann Mercier of Campbellton, his daughter Lori Levesque (Daniel Savoie), his sons Jason Levesque (Sheila Hicks) and Shawn Levesque (Jessica Maltais), his sisters Camy, Armande, Denise, Rose Marie and Georgine. Also survived by granddaughter Ali Bernard and grandson Tye Levesque.

The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Thursday September 20th at 3pm. Father Bill Arsenault officiating. Interment was at the Lady of Snow Cemetery. Pallbearers were Claude Englehart, André Poirier, Maurice Comeau, Roger Bernard, Wayne Wartman and Chris Bujold

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
