Agathe Caissy

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 30, 2008 at the age of 88, Mrs. Agathe Caissy. Born in Campbellton on December 31, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Francis Pinette and the late Elizabeth Cyr. She leaves to mourn her daughter Hélène (Richard Allard) from Campbellton, her sons Michel, Raymond, Pierre (Alice), Richard and Roger, her nephews Marc, Paul, her nieces Ella and Annick. Also survived by her grandchildren Serge Allard and Madeleine Allard, her great-grandchild Jack Richard Allard. Predeceased by her two brothers Camille and Fernand. The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Snows Church Campbellton on Saturday November 1st at 11am. Father Romeo Morrison officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Aimé Roy

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 28, 2008 at the age of 90 Mr. Aimé Roy of Campbellton, husband of the late Rolande Savoie. Born in Gaspé on July 25, 1918, he was the son of the late Amos Roy and the late Caroline Jacques. Survived by his children: Doris Roy (Raymond Thiffault) of Montreal, Ghislaine Roy of Calgary, Solange Roy (Hugh Thompson) of Rexton, Georgette Roy of Ottawa, Diane Roy(Miro Kwasnica) of Calgary, Lise Roy (Don Ouellet) of Edmundston, Edouard Roy of Montreal, Roger (Judy) Roy of Newfoundland. Predeceased by one son Robert. Funeral mass in Mary Queen Church Richardville on October 30th with Father Morrison officiating. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in care of Maher's Funeral Home Campbellton.

Clifford Comeau

The death of Clifford Comeau of Belledune occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital Monday, Oct.27, 2008 at the age of 87. Born in Pointe Verte,he was the son of the late Theophile Comeau and the late Emilia Laplante. Clifford spent a total of eight years in the army in World War Two & the Korean War and served in Germany, France and Korea. He is survived by his wife Isabelle(Guitard),sons Yvon(Jeannine) of Belledune,Camille(Marlene) of Port Perry,ON;John Paul(Dawn Marie) of Oshawa,ON; daughters Theresa Hamilton(Allen) of Belledune, Rosemarie Anderson(Eric) of Charlo,11 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Alcide,Theodule as well as his sisters Victoria,Dorina and Gisele. His funeral was held from St.John the Evangelist Church, Belledune,Thursday,Oct.30,2008 officiated by Father Bill Arseneault with burial in the Parish Cemetery. Gabriel LaPointe

The passing of Gabriel LaPointe of Nash Creek, aged 69, occurred on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at his home. Born in Nash Creek, he was the son of the late John LaPointe & the late Emma (Furlong). He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Loretta (Renee) (Donnelly); son, Danny (Debbie) of Durham Bridge; daughters, Sherry LaPointe-Booy (Doug) of Hampton, Sandy Guitar (Jay) of Hampton, Tracy Ryan (Don) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Alexandra, Joshua, Jillian, Sydney & DJ. He is also survived by his sisters, Agnes, Eunice, Dorothy & Hilda. Gabriel was a loving and kind husband, father and grandfather whose memory and life lessons will live in our hearts forever. He worked at Noranda, DOT, as a carpenter. Besides his family, his great loves included boating, wood carving, taking long walks on the beach and evening meetings with his buddies. He was an avid nature lover. At Gabriel's request there was no viewing. His funeral was held at St. Joseph's Parish, Nash Creek, Monday, November 3, 2008. Glenn Cedric Ford

Passed away at his residence on September 19, 2008 at the age of 52, Mr. Glenn Cedric Ford. Born in Halifax, NS on September 6, 1956, he was the son of the late Cecil Ford and the late Susan Hartling. He had volunteered at the Tide Head School Breakfast Program. He leaves to mourn his common-law spouse Shonnah Ford O'Connell;their son Harley Ford, his daughter Angela Orman; his sons Adam Hiles and Todd Hiles; his brothers Eddy Ford (Angelita) and David Ford. Also survived by his grandson Payton, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, his sisters Susan and Florence and his brother Cecil Ford. Donations to the Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Howard Firth

At the CHSLD-Malauze in Matapedia, Qc. on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the age of 80 years, passed away Mr. Howard Firth, husband of Anita Martin Firth, and son of late Winnifred (Haley) and late Lawrence Firth. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Anita of St-François d'Assise; his children: Richard (Joanne) of Causapscal, Barbara of North Hatley, Qc., Pierrot of Matapédia and Cindy (Brian) of Orangeville, Ont.; his grandchildren: Mark, Martin, Sara-Kim, Jasmin, Micheal, Terry, Shanley and Byran; his brother Lawrence; his sisters: Theresa 'Ted', Grace (Everard), Gertrude, Glenda (Richard), Rita and Maureen (Clifford). Many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends will also miss him. His parents, his grandson Brian, his grandson's wife, Cindy, and his grandson's child, Lily predeceased him. Laurine ( Vienneau) Wilsher

Born May 14, 1918, in New Brunswick, Deceased Oct 21, 2008, in Victoria B.C. Pre-deceased by husband Joseph Wilsher and her brothers, Armand, Stan, Bill, Earl, George, Ken and sisters Fran, Eileen, Myrtle, Hazel, Margaret, Henrietta. Survived by her son Joey (Claire), grandson Jason (Dior), and her brothers, Ralf, Bob and her sister Tessie and numerous nieces and nephews. Laurine lived most of her working life in Verdun, Quebec. She worked for Canada Air then Bell Telephone during the war years. At the end of the war she married, then while raising her family worked at Eaton's, Simpson's and many years at the Ideal Bargain store in Verdun. After retiring she moved to Victoria B.C. where she lived out her life .....Riding her scooter, shopping and generally affecting people as best she could. She was loved by many and remembered fondly by everybody. She was one of the special "Characters" in her neighborhood. A funeral Mass is being held Wed 29 Oct' 08 at the combined Christ the Redeemer/ St. Andrew's Chapel, CFB Esq. presided over by LCdr J.L. Domotor, CD. Further masses will be at St. Thomas More in Verdun, Quebec and at St.Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton, N.B.. Notices will be in the church's bulletin
