George Ernest Murray
Just four days after laughing and celebrating with family and friends at his 60th birthday party, George passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving son Arthur at his side. George is also survived by sons Troy and Chad, and his beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth. He was predeceased by his parents Frances and Ernie Murray and brother Arthur, all of Campbellton, where George was born. George will be fondly remembered by siblings Barbara LeBlanc, Mary (Ed Brown), Charles (Vanita), Dan, Margery (Ray Healey), Sheila (Wayne Ragsdale), Terry (Janice), and Peter (Patti). He was a much loved uncle to Chris, Marc, Jonathan, Caroline, Karen, Aseem, Tara, Megan, Josh and Shannon, as well as grand-nieces and nephews.
George's advice to all of them would be in typical Irish fashion "dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live every day as if it's your last". Always gregarious, quick-witted and with a great sense of humour, George was the life of the party and his passing will leave a void in many lives.
Special thanks to staff at the Ottawa General and Elisabeth Bruyere.
