Charles G. McLaughlin
The death of Charles G. McLaughlin occurred at his residence, 2 Esquadich St., Campbellton, NB. on January 17, 2004.
He was the son of the late Joseph McLaughlin and the late Alta(Chute) McLaughlin and was born in Bridgetown, N.S. on February 12, 1919.
He is survived by his wife Elsie (Chedore) Hickey; two daughters Betty Baker (David) of Rockwood, Ont., and Nancy Morrison (Paul) of Acton, Ont.; one son Charles of Rockwood, Ont.; two granddaughters; one grandson; four sisters, Muriel Hebb of Bridgetown, N.S., Thelma Brooks of Middletown, N.S., Alice White of Bridgetown, N.S., and Beverly McLaughlin of Medway, Mass.; two brothers Frank McLaughlin and (Louise) of Jarvis, Ont., and Billy McLaughlin of Midway, Mass. Also surviving are five step-daughters, Clare Shalala (David) Campbellton, N.B. Bonnie Sampson (John) of Amherstburg, Ont., Arlene Hickey of Sudbury, Ont., Sally Hickey of Burlington, Ont., and Karen Thompson (Bob) of Russel, Ont.; two step sons Raymond Hickey (Judy) of Saskatoon, Sask., and Kenny Hickey (Christine) of Halifax, N.S., several step grandchildren and four great greatgrandchildren.
Predeceased by one brother Roland McLaughlin.
Francis Mallais
The death of Francis Mallais occurred on January 3, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie at the age of 79 years and 10 months. He was the son of the late Frank Mallais and the late Delphine Mallet.
He was predeceased by his wife from his 1st marriage, Julia Hache.
He is survived by his wife from his 2nd marriage; Germaine Blaquiere (LeBlanc), seven children Raymond (Colette Roy), Moncton, Rose (Edouard Parent), Moncton, Rheal (Yvette DesRosiers), Dalhousie, Georgette (Marc Champagne), Montreal, Pierette (Mike Good), Dalhousie, Mona, Moncton and Michel (Lynn Cowan), Charlo; 13 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one sister, Lisa Cook, Jacquet River; three brothers Victor (Marlene LeBlanc), Dalhousie, Edgard (Leontine Dugay), Dalhousie and Norman (Ann Vianneau), Dalhousie.
He was predeceased by Emard, Cleophase, John, Lydia, Emma and Gerard.
Joseph Rodney Edward Martin
Joseph Rodney Edward Martin, son of the late Edward and Rebecca Martin, passed away at the home of Donald Barnaby at the age of 49.
He is survived by son Jeremiah Isaac; sisters Jean (Gilles) of Montreal, Que., Thelma (Foryst) of Broadlands, Que, Karen (Harry) of Litchefield, N.H. (U.S.A.); brothers Allan (Ranay) of Hudson, N.H., Earl (Giselle) of Listuguj, Simon of Ossipee, N.H., Howard of Nashua, N.H.; as well as several nieces and nephews and caregiver Donald Barnaby and family.
Harvey Johnson
The death of Harvey Johnson, a well known business man in Campbellton, occurred on January 17, 2004, at Stella Maris de Kent Hospital in St. Anne de Kent, N.B. at the age of 63.
Born in Val D'Amours on April 27, 1940, he was son of the late Fred Johnson and late Yvonne Savoie. Harvey was the manager of Johnson's furniture in Campbellton. He loved motorcycles, traveling and dancing.
He is survived y his wife Annette Johnson (nee LeBlanc) of Campbellton; daughter Julie (Alde) Williams of Shediac Cape, N.B.; son Brian (Nancy) of Campbellton; sisters Rita Levesque of Val D'Amours and Marjorie (Jacques) Levesque of Charlo; brothers Arthur (Marina) of Val D'Amour, Antoine (Simonne) of Campbellton, Armand (Bertha) of Val, D'Amour and Raymond (Ruth) of Saskatchewan; grandchildren Joshua, Dominik, and Gabriel; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Yvonne, and his late sister Maria Levesque.
James Kenneth (Kenny) Noel
The death of James Kenneth (Kenny) Noel of Riverview and formerly of Jacquet River occurred Friday, January 23rd, at Moncton hospital at the age of 72, surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. Born in Jacque River, he was the son of the late Edward Noel and Kathleen (Chambers). Kenny was employed by CN/VIA Rail for nearly 35 years as a Conductor/Brakeman.
He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Riverview. He will be greatly missed by his wife Avelda of 47 years, his five daughters, and two sons. They are Linda Savoie (Wayne) of Moncton, Brenda Donnelly (Erwin) of Jacquet River, Nancy Godin (Paul) of Jacquet River, Sandra Daudlin (Shelby) of Oakville, Ont. Kevin Noel, of Riverview, Norma Brooks (Charles) of Riverview and Rodney Noel (Dianne) of Riverview and grandsons Nathan Savoie, Adam & Grant Donnelly, Benjamin Brooks and granddaughter Brianna Noel - Preston.
He will also be sadly missed by his sisters Pearl Noel of Jacquet River, Hazel Lavigne of Jacquet River, Violet Rochette of Moosecreek, Ont., Germain Miller of Montreal and a brother Albert Noel of Jacquet River as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother William (Billy).
Wilfred (T-Boy) Carrier
1924-2004
In loving memory of a father, grandfather and great grandfather who passed away on January 18, 2004, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 79, after a lengthy illness.
He is the son of the late David Carrier and Anastasia (Anna) Savoie. He was a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Carrier is survived by his wife Helia Roy and three daughters Diane (Adrian) Hickey of Belledune, N.B., Jean (Stuart) Macpherson of Riverview, N.B. and Nancy (Rodney) Parker of Eel River Crossing, N.B., four grandchildren, Keith (Marlene) Hickey of Timmins, Ont., Laura Ann (Paul) Heistein of Pheonix, Arizona, Matthew MacPherson, Riverview, N.B., Corey parker of Eel River crossing, N.B.; two great grandchildren Jeanna and Hanna Hickey of Timmins, Ont.
Mr. Carrier is survived by two brothers Leo Paul (Beth) Carrier of Levica, Ont. And Phil (Mona) Carrier of Levica, Ont., two sisters Shirley (Westly) of Walton, Ont., and Eva Good of Dalhousie Junction, N.B.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Robert (Bobby) and James Carrier and one sister Antoinette (Toni) Haley.
Winnifred (Kitty) Ide Ouellette
Winnifred Ouellette of Campbellton and formerly of Nouvelle, Quebec, passed away
at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 3, 2004 at the age of 96.
Born in Sussex, England on December 11, 1907, she was the daughter of the late George and Minnie Ide.
She will be sadly missed by her friend Raymond LeBlanc, daughter Phyllis (Allan) Davids, England, sister May Price, England, daughter-in-law Doris Ouelette, Campbellton, grandchildren and great grandchildren in England as well as nieces and nephews.
Winnifred was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, husband Alexandre Ouellette, Nouvelle, son Phillipe Ouellette, Campbellton.
