Ila Jean (Myles) Letourneau

At Marshall Gowland Manor on Monday, January 17, 2005, Ila Jean (Myles) Letourneau, age 80, of Sarnia Ontario, dear wife of the late Ralph Letourneau (1962), passed away. Loving mother of Gail Durance and her husband Don of Sarnia and grandmother of Don Jr., Patti, Stirling and Todd. Sister of Marlene Myles of Sarnia and Graydon Myles of British Columbia. Several nieces and Nephews also survive. Predeceased by her sister Lorraine Myles and brothers Garnet, Lorne, Bruce, and Bernard Myles.

Ila was employed as a waitress for many years at the Chalet Motel.

Auley Laviolette

The death of Auley Laviolette of Atholville occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 20, 2005, at the age of 82.

Born in Atholville, he was the son of the late Melvina Connors and the late James Laviolette. Auley was a foreman at the Atholville Mill for 45 years and a member of the New Brunswick Antique Auto Club.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Emilia Laviolette of Atholville; children Jocelyn (late Charles) Sharp of Campbellton, Michel (Therese) of Campbellton, Louise Laviolette (Michael Patterson) of Gaspé, Quebec, Monique Laviolette of Montreal, Pierre (Johanne) of Campbellton, Claude of Atholville, Jacques of Atholville, Jean (Deborah) of Beresford; nine grandchildren: Gary, Ceilidh. Nathalie, Randy, Patrick, Mathieu, Fréderic, Monica and Dominic; two great grandchildren Jacob and Joannie; brothers: Ralph (Della) of Hamilton, ON, and Robert (Rolande) of Hamilton, ON.

He was predeceased by his Parents Melvina and James; son Norman; brothers: Melvin, George, Austin and Reginald; sister Alice.

Helen Rouleau

The death of Helen Rouleau, wife of the late Edgar Rouleau, resident of the Village Nursing Home and formerly of Atholville, occurred at the nursing home on January 14, 2005.

Born in St. Alexis, Quebec, on February 15, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Paul Blaquiere and the late Philomene Pitre.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Philomene Rouleau of Montreal, Judith, (Marcel) Paradis of Campbellton, Doris (Guy Goddard) Rouleau of Grand Bay; sons Valmond (Yolande Blaquiere) of Hudson, Quebec, Patrice (Diane Robin) of Iroquois Falls, Paul (Peggy Durette) of Hamilton, ON, Gerard (Murielle Methot) of Dalhousie Junction and Michel (Therese Methot) of Atholville; sister Marcella (Yvon Ouellette) of Montreal; 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Jeannette Gallant

The death of Jeannette Gallant, of 9 Duncan Street, Campbellton, occurred in Campbellton on January 13, 2005, at the age of 91.

Born in Campbellton on May 5, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Armand Gallant and the late Priscilla Pineault. Jeannette was a cashier for Cairn's Grocery store for 50 years.. She will be sadly missed brother Francis Gallant; nieces and nephews, Roland Raymond Jeannine, Georgette, Gloria, Mike Edward, Michael, Sali, Priscilla, Peter, Wayne and Many grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters: Gertie, Hazel, Isobel. Loretta, Minnie, and rose; brother Art August, John and Leo.

Jonathan Audit

The accidental death of Jonathan Audit of Jacquet River occurred in an industrial accident in Grande Prairie, Alberta, January 13, 205, at the age of 21.

Jonathan leaves behind his loving family, his mother Arlene (Culligan), father Jon and his sister Allyson.

Born and Raised in Jacquet River, NB, a graduate of DRHS in 2001. Before leaving Jacquet River, he worked as a gas attendant at the Irving Gas Bar for two and a half years and then headed out west to pursue his dreams. He worked for Lonkar Well testing Company of Grande Prairie, as a well tester, which he said "was his calling!"

Jonathan also leaves behind his grand parents Allan and Rose Marie Culligan, Monica (Harold) Bourque as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and c0-workers who all loved him dearly and all those whose hearts he touched. He was predeceased by his grandfather Poppy Gerald Audit.

Charlotte (Ward) Dunphy

Relatives and friends were sorry to hear of the death of Charlotte Jean Ward Dunphy who passed away on November 9, 2004, after a brief illness, at St. Joe's Hospital in Peterborough, Ontario.

She leaves to mourn her friend Glenn Balson; four children: David (Nicole) of Halifax, NS, Sarah of Halifax, NS, Christina of Calgary, AB, and Andy of Hamilton, ON; her mother Marion Dickie; a sister Brenda Lovett of Campbellton; two brothers, Ralph (Christa) of Calgary, AB and Don (Norma) of Ajax, ON; three grandchildren Brandon, Francis and Jessie; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Charlotte was born in Black Point, NB and later moved to Campbellton, where she attended school and graduated from Campbellton High School. She was a member of First United Church. She was in the Junior Choir, Explorers and CGIT. She lived in Nova Scotia where she raised her four children. She later moved back to Toronto in 1991, where she worked for Securities Commission until she retired a couple of years ago, she then spent her last few years in Peterborough and Backhorn.

Joseph Wilfred Dedam

It is with Great sadness to announce the death of Joseph Wilfred Dedam at the age of 80 years old.

He was a resident of Atholville, NB. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie. He was born in Eel River Bar, NB on March 29, 1924.

He is survived by his sister Lillian (Dedam) Wilmot of Listuguj, daughter, Lillian Dedam (Joey) of Escuminac; sons Gerald Dedam (Linda), Roger Dedam (Julie), Alfred Dedam (Evelyn) of Listuguj and Sheldon from Campbellton; step-sons, Kenneth Isaac (Adrienne), Terry Isaac (Bernadette) of Listuguj.

He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Bella (Caplin) Dedam. Predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth Isaac and his second wife, Mary Delores Isaac and also his daughter Flora and sisters Elizabeth (Patsy), Lena and Christine and brother Norman.

Joe lived his life with a remarkable understanding of family, friends and community. His life experiences began in 1940 when he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. Being a veteran of his country was a milestone that he was truly proud of. He also had the honour of serving his community as Chief in Listuguj from 1958-1960 and 1960-1962. He was also the last traditional Chief to be elected in Listuguj. It was during his leadership as Chief that led to negotiations of the Charlie Van Horne Interprovincial Bridge. He was a parishioner of the St. Anne's Church of Listuguj.

Lloyd Doucet

The death of Lloyd Doucet of 178 Boulevard Perron in Escuminac, Quebec occurred at the Centre Hospitalier Baie Chaleur in Maria, Quebec.

Born in Campbellton, NB on July 29, 1947, he was the son of the Wallace Doucet and Frances Blais. Lloyd was employed as a custodian.

He is survived by his ex- wife Docille Chouinard; his mother Frances Dempsey; Step father Vincent Dempsey, daughter Debra Doucet of North Carolina; sister Donna (Marc) Savoie of Campbellton; step sisters Gloria Morris and Charlene Cox; brothers Phil, Ivan and Mike; grandchildren Dylan, Malcolm and Cassandra; also survived by nieces and nephews: Alix, Hailey, Caitlin, Jeff, Rickie, Stephen, Christopher, Craig, Trevor, Tyler and Megan.

He was predeceased by his father Wallace and brother Alex.

Antonia (Tena) Furlotte

The death of Antonia (Tena) Furlotte of Lorne, wife of Murray Furlotte, occurred January 16, 2005 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 79.

Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Major Doucet and the late Emilie Ferland. She is survived by her husband Murray; sons: Kevin (Cindy) of Archibald Settlement and Dale (Joann) of Beresford, nb; daughter Lois (Wayne) McAlister of Belledune NB. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; her brother Leo Doucet; and her sisters Adeline Lapointe and Blanche Sullivan.

She was predeceased by her daughter Shelly, her parents Major and Emilie; her sister Emma Day; and her brothers Wilfred Doucet, Alex Doucet and Matte Doucet.

Margaret Downs

The death of Margaret Downs, resident of the Campbellton Nursing Home, occurred at the nursing home on January 20, 2005, at the age of 88.

Born in Matapedia, Quebec on May 31, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Alexander (Sandy) Pratt and the late Bertha Bulmer. She was a member of St. John's United Church in Broadlands, Quebec.

She is survived by her daughters; Mary (Elmer) Needle of St. John, NB, and Ann (Doug) Smith of Lindsay On; daughter-in-law Sheila of New Richmond, Quebec; sons: Billy (Marilyn) of Pointe de Bute, NB and Gary (Audrey) of Peterborough, ON; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill; son Tommy; brothers: Willie, Irvine, Pete, Tad, Porter; sisters: Isobel Whitman, Jean Babcock, Bertha Copeland, Bernice Targett and Thelma Downs.

George Malley

The death of George Malley, resident of the D.V.A. wing of the Campbellton Regional Hospital, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 15, 2005.

Born in Campbellton on February 8, 1915, he was the son of the late Martin Malley and the late Elizabeth Robichaud. George was a retired Construction worker and a Veteran.

He is survived by his wife Alfreda Fonatine Malley; son George Malley Jr. of Dalhousie; sisters Catherine MacGarvie of Eel river Crossing and Alberta Parker of Campbellton.
