Aline Hackett
1918-2010

Mrs. Aline Hackett, of Glencoe, 92 years and 6 months, passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2010. She was the wife of the late John Gordon and the daughter of the late Marie Anne (nee: Blaquière) and the late Andre Gallant.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kay Bujold (late Armand) of Cross Point; her sons; Mike (Elaine) of Glencoe & Charlie (Sylvie) of Fort McMurray, Alberta; her daughter-in-law Ishbel McNab of Glencoe; her 10 grandchildren and her nine great-grandchildren; her sister Rita Lebrun (late Aurele) of St Arthur and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her son Billy, her husband John Gordon and her sister Aurore.

Baden Wyers

Baden Powell Wyers of Saint John, husband of Edith C. (Demeau) Wyers, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 12, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Born at Campbellton on August 10, 1925, he was a son of the late Harvey and Marion (Farrar) Wyers.

Baden worked as a scaler most of his working life, first at international Paper, and when he moved with his family to Saint John in 1964, he worked at Rothesay Paper, retiring in 1990. He was a Veteran of World War ||, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #14, and a member of Saint John's Lodge #2, F & A. M.

In his spare time, Baden enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and spent summers at the family homestead in Kedgwick River; but his greatest enjoyment in life was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Baden is survived by his children, Faith Searle (Lindsey) of Kedgwick River, Baden Wyers Jr (Barb) of Hampton, Marion McNamee of Bayswater and Sally Wyers (Raymond Riley) of Saint John; grandchildren Mark Searle (Diana), Lisa LeBlanc (Phil), Jillian Smith (Scott), Courtenay MacDonald, Morgan MacDonald, Colin MacDonald, Crystal Herrington (Barry), and Karen Somerville (Terry); eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Baden was predecesed by a brother Allie Wyers.

Halton (Olden) Carrier

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Halton (Olden) Carrier, 69 years of age, in Chateauguay, Qc., after a brief illness. Born in Lorne NB, he was the son of the late Leo and Evangeline (Lavigne) Carrier.

Pre-deceased by his first wife, Lydia (Fournier) Carrier, Mourned by his loving family and wife Lorraine Levesque, his children, Jeannie Doucet (Hurley) of Bathurst, Lee (Lynn Roy) of Petit Rocher, Ron of Halifax, Carey of St John, Shyla Monette (Peter) of Ottawa and Step-daughter Danielle Simard of Chateauguay, Qc. Loving grandfather of Michael and Jennica Doucet of Bathurst and Kendra Monette of Ottawa, ON.

Also mourned by his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by sister Ethel Kelum, and brothers Godfrey, Jean-Guy and Armand.

Employed by Noranda, for over 39 years at Belledune Smelter until his retirement in 1996.

Sister Therese Armstrong

Sister Therese Armstrong, in religion, Sr Gabriel-Maria, passed away on December 20, 2010 at Monarch Hall, Riverview NB at the age of 84. She was in the 64th year of her religious profession. She was born on October 10, 1926 in Meteghan Station, NS, the daughter of the late Patrick Armstrong of Digby, NB, and of the late Francoise Geddry of Meteghan Station, NS.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by two sisters; Sister Pauline Armstrong, f.j., of Riverview, NB and Felice Belliveau, of Meteghan River, NS. She is also survied by several nieces and nephews.

Sister's life mission was exercised in several fields. She was a teacher in L'Ardoise, Arichat and D'Escousse in NS, as well as in Dalhousie, Belledune, Lakeburn, Adamsville and Nash Creeek, in NB. She worked for several years for the Ecclesiastical Tribunal in Moncton, NB in Wedgeport, NS, and in Dominica, West Indies. Finally she also worked for several years in the Accounting Department of the St Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie, NB.

Raymond Joncas

Raymond Joncas of Eel River Crossing passed away Tuesday December 14, 2010 at the age of 61. He was the son of the late James Joncas and the late Clementine Fournier.

He is survived by his spouse Claudette Phillips, brothers Alphonse (Eileen), Roland (Jacqueline), Aurele (Myra), Fernand and Rheal, sisters Rolande (late Emile Lepage), Jeannette (late Jean Maltais), Fernande (late Donald McLean), Claudette (late Gerard Raymond), Henriette (Edgar Roy), Marguerite (Gilles Arseneault), Gisele (Albert McIntyre).

He is predeceased by his parents and brother Maurice (Jeannette) 1994.
