Edmond LaPointe

The death of Edmond LaPointe of Nash Creek, occured October 13, 2005, at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 81. Born in Nash Creek, he was the son of Frank Xavier LaPointe and Margaret Hachey. He is survived by his sons: Kenny (Annie) of Belledune, Norman (Marilyn) of Miramichi, Garry (Debbie) of Jacquet River, Ben (Lisa) of Nash Creek, daughters Elaine Furlong (Glen) of Dartmouth, and Norma Arseneault (Francis) of Jacquet River. Also, surviving are 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Adeline, brothers John, Osgood, Gordon, Osmond, sisters Henrietta, Mary and Ophelia. His funeral was held October 15, 2005, from St. Joseph's Church, Nash Creek, officiated by Father David Ferguson, with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Ashley LaPointe, Ryan Lapointe, Jordan LaPointe, Ian LaPointe, Mathew Furlong, Amy LaPointe, and Karla Culligan. Francis Ivan Godin

The death of Francis Ivan Godin of Gravelhill, occured Sunday, October 16, 2005, at Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 77.

Born in Nash Creek, he was the friend of Janie Bertin, son of Francois Xavier Godin and Elizabeth Bella Carrier.

He is survived by his sisters Frances, Jean, Elsie, brothers Onard, James, Willard, Ronald, and Clovis and friend Janie. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Bella (Elizabeth) brother Charles, and his sister Mary Stella.

His funeral was held Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 11:00 am from St. Joseph's Church, Nash Creek, officiated by Father Lionel Comeau, with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Willard Godin, Clovis Godin, Onard Godin, Ronald Godin, John LaPointe, and Pamela Bertin. Jack Daniel Landry

The death of Jack Daniel Landry of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at the age of 55.

Born in Edmundston, he was the son of Julliette Lizette and the late Ephraim Landry.

He is survived by his wife Maria, step-daughter Denisa Branca (Ken Phillips) of Dalhousie, granddaughter Krista, his mother Julliette of Ontario, sister Bernadette Pluim (Fred) of Ontario, brother Nicholas Landry (Joyce Gauphier) of Ontario and nephew Michel Pluim (Kelly his wife and children Morgan, and Aiden), nieces Michelle Pluim, and Nicole Landry.

He was predeceased by his father Ephraim.

Priscilla Henrietta Dryden

The death of Priscilla Henrietta Dryden of 88 Lansdowne Street, Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 13, 2005, at the age of 85. Born in Campbellton, on March 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Robert Duff and the late Mary Wilett. Priscilla was a retired teacher, member of the United Church Women, member of the golf club, curling club and bridge club. Surviving is her husband Harry Dryden of Campbellton and son Mark Dryden of Halifax. The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on October 17, 2005, officiated by Rev. Trudel, with interment in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

SAVOIE, Ronald

SAVOIE, Ronald - 68, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at home from lung cancer.

Born in Campbellton, N.B., he was a son of the late Wilfrid and Eva Savoie.

Ron worked as proprietor of Topps Men's Wear, followed by manager with the City Center Mall, until his move to Nova Scotia in 1984. Retiring three years ago from Dalhousie University where he was part of the facilities management team. Ron had a special love for boats. He will always be fondly remembered by his family and friends, as a kind, compassionate, caring and gentle person. Ron's 47 year marriage to Marie "Rickie" (Stack), formerly of Minto, N.B., was one to be admired. They were each other's best friends.

Their three children will miss him terribly - daughter, Ronna (Avery) Wilson, Sackville, N.S., and their children, Andrea Boudreau, Bedford, and David Wilson, Bathurst, N.B.; sons, Paul, Mount Uniacke, and Marc (Donna) and their children, Alexis, Hailey and Caitlin, Campbellton, N.B.; sister, Claudette (Bob) Pickard, Guelph, Ont.; brothers, Jean-Marc (Albertine), Matapedia, Que., and Jacques, Vancouver, B.C. The family will receive visitors Saturday, October 22, from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1.30 p.m. followed by a time of refreshment and fellowship, all to be held in Ronald A. Sylvain Plourde

Sylvain Plourde The death of Sylvain Plourde of Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 18, 2005, at the age of 73.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late David Plourde and the late Celina Landry. Sylvin was a shipping supervisor for N.B.I.P. mill.

Surviving is his wife Therese (Landry) Plourde of Dalhousie, daughters Anne MacDonald (James) of Salisbury, N.B., Jeannette Daigle (Robert) of Charlo, N.B., Lise Chianello (Serge) of Brampton, Ont., sons Jean-Paul (Rachel) of Dalhousie, David (Cindy) of Saint John, Roland (Keri-Ann) of Brooks, Alb., sisters Kathleen Barriault of Dalhousie, brother Leo-Paul Plourde of Montreal, Que.

The funeral was held from St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie on October 21, 2005, officiated by Rev. W. Arseneau, with interment in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
