Ronald Hamilton

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 31, 2008 at the age of 59, Mr. Ronald Hamilton. Born in Campbellton on August 21, 1949, he was the son of the late Melbourne Hamilton and the late Beatrice Boudreau. He leaves to mourn his daughter Gail Hamilton Jones, his sisters Joyce Coombes and Gail Hamilton, his brother Neil Hamilton. Also survived by nieces and nephews Michelle Ehmke, Jason Coombes, Kim Englehart, Paula Foster, Matthew Hamilton, Cathy MacIntyre and Rodney Hamilton. The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Tuesday November 4th at 2pm. Reverend James Postlethwaite officiating. Interment at Mary Queen Cemetery in McLeod. Pallbearers were Rodney Hamilton, Matthew Hamilton, Walter Rooney and Wayne Pollock. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

IAN BONAR BYERS
1935 - 2008

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ian Byers former owner and manager of CKNB; who passed away peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on November 2, 2008. Ian was the son of the late Reverend John and Dorothy Byers. Ian will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 28 years, Margaret Aucoin of Campbellton, his daughters Deborah Byers (Miramichi) and Laura Dominick (Ontario); his grandchildren Alexandra and Tiana Dominick and Aaron Hazelwood and Ian's sisters; Ruth Davidson and Lois Joy Gilmore; as well as many nieces and nephews. Throughout his 55 years in broadcasting, Ian's unparalleled dedication rewarded him with many colleagues and friends; in Rotary, the International Idea Bank, Ontario Independent Radio Group, Chambers of Commerce and Business Improvement Area Associations. Ian was proud to be a mentor to so many who shared his passion. A private family burial service will take place in Orilla with a memorial to follow at a later date. Ian will be forever fondly remembered for being a man of limitless diverse conversation, energy, intelligence, sense of humor and charm. Ian was consistently able to put people comfortably at ease through his heartfelt compassion for others. It is of this and more that he will be forever loved and missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ian's name to the Rotary Club of Huntsville or the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Foundation. Harold Poley "Papa"

Passed away suddenly at home in Brampton, Ontario Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the age of 76. Beloved partner of Sherry Pollock. Predeceased by his wife Eleanor. Loving Father of Nancy (Jim Madgett), Cathy (Jim Dawe), Sharon Poley and Wendy Irwin. Devoted Papa of Lisa, Brandon, Rob, Kyle, Ashley, Brett and Cody. Proud Great Grandfather of Aiden, Maddy, Alyssa and Riley. Retired longtime employee of Goodyear Canada. Proud member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 609-Bramalea, Standardbred Canada and O.R.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Gordon Godin

The death of Gordon Godin of Gravelhill occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Saturday, Nov 01,2008 at the age of 77. Born in Nash Creek,he was the son of the late Thomas Godin & the late Agnes(Hickey). He is survived by his wife Clara(Carrier),son Stacy, stepchildren; Linda Carrier(Reggie) of Lorne,Ricky Murphy(Cecile) of Gravelhill,Dean Murphy of Gravelhill and Kim Murphy of Gravelhill. He is also survived by his brothers Amos & Donald as well as his sisters Bernice Godin, Lou Chamberlain and Erma Fournier. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Sandy,Weldon, Dennis and sisters Gladys & May. His funeral was held from St. Marie Goretti Church, Lorne, Monday,Nov.03,2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish Cemetery. Geraldine Gagnon

The death of Geraldine Gagnon of Lorne, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Monday Nov.03,2008 at the age of 65. Born in Lorne,she was the daughter of Cecilia(Godin) & the late Arthur Carrier. She is survived by her husband Baptiste,mother Cecilia(Godin), son Floyd(Marlene) of Amherst, daughters Della Mallaley(Johnny)of Doyleville,Cora Gagnon Carrier(Lee) of Oshawa ON. & Nelly Gagnon (Randy)of Lorne. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild as well as her sister Leona & brothers Sylvio & Louis. Elizabeth LeBlanc

Est décédée à l'hôpital régional de Campbellton, le 3 novembre, 2008 à l'âge de 84 ans, Madame Elizabeth LeBlanc. Née à Dalhousie le 30 août 1924, elle était la fille de feu Joseph Carrier et de feue Rose Anna Doucet. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Albert (Maria) LeBlanc d'Eel River Crossing, Adrienne LeBlanc de Dalhousie, Louis LeBlanc de Shediac, Laurette (Paul Willie) Chiasson de Dalhousie, Diane L (Claude) Parent de Dundee et Linda LeBlanc (Fabien Francoeur) de Balmoral, ainsi que 10 petits-enfants et plusieurs arrières petits-enfants. Prédécédée par son époux Denis LeBlanc, ses enfants Adrien, Ginette et Lucien LeBlanc. Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l'Église Ste Trinité d'Eel River Crossing, mercredi le 5 novembre à 16h00. Père Lanteigne comme célébrant. L'inhumation au cimetière de la Paroisse. Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Dalhousie.
