Winnie Plourde

Passed away at her residence on October 26, 2008 at the age of 89, Mrs. Winnie Plourde. Born in Val D'Amour on December 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Eugène LeBlanc and the late Claira Levesque. She leaves to mourn her daughter Nynn Plourde Levesque, her sons Rod LeBlanc (Patricia), Regis Plourde (Tineke), Roger Plourde (Theresa), Renaud Plourde and Claude Levesque. Also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1great great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ernest Plourde. The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Snows Church Campbellton on Friday October 31st at 2pm. Father Romeo Morrison officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Martin, Elsie Doris Langlois

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of my Mom on October 23, 2008, at the age of 63. Ellie Martin of Listuguj, Quebec; formally of Leamington, Ontario; was born in Grande Grave (Gaspe), Quebec to the late Alfred Nicholas Langlois and the late Dinah Edith Roberts. Also predeceased by three brothers Andrew, Leo, and Dawson. Mom, strong like a diamond in the rough, one of life's truly devoted and hard-working woman, will be sadly missed by her much loved husband Wallace (Moon) Martin, daughter Connie, sisters Lorraine and Gladys, and bother Donald. Funeral arrangements were in care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton, NB; with funeral services held at St. Anne's Church in Listuguj, Quebec at 11:00 am on Monday, October 27, 2008. Famous for her friendly smile, joyful laughter, great sense of humour, and sincere sensitivity, Mom will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched.

Marc Rioux

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden death of Marc Rioux on November 4, 2008. Marc was the son of the late Wilfred Rioux and Emilia LeBlanc. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 34 years Marlene (Parker), his son Andy Rioux, daughter in-law Natalie and his adoring granddaughters Amelia and Lilly. He is survived by his mother Emilia, brothers Ray (Lori), Roderick (Krista). He will also be sadly missed by his brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, co-workers, friends and his dog Mika. Marc was a kind and caring person who touched many peoples lives. He enjoyed time with family and friends, but one of his greatest passions was being an avid car enthusiast. Funeral mass was held at 11:00 am Saturday November 8, 2008 at the Mary Queen Church (Richardsville). Father Roméo Morrison officiated, along with Father Claude Benoit. Pallbearers were members of the Campbellton Lions Club of which Marc was a long-standing member. LORNE THOMAS IRVINE
1938-2008

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne Thomas Irvine at the age of 70 years. His death occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital October 30th following a lengthy battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side. Lorne was born in Flatlands, NB on May 08, 1938 the son of Donald Irvine Sr. and Louella Craswell. Survived by his wife Joan of forty-six years, his son Duane (Paige) and two grand-children, Hannah and Blake. Also by eight sisters; Doris Johnston (Willis) Fredericton, NB, Glenda Sherrard (Raymond) Bathurst, NB, Sharon New Westminster, BC, Roxanne Nelson (David) Freeport, Bahamas, Nora Kitchen (James) Red Deer, AB, Jo-anne Larlee (David) Edson, AB, Jill, Vancouver, BC and Patsy, Kamloops, BC. Four brothers, Donald Jr, Flatlands, Barry (Sharon), Dalhousie, Richard, Tide Head, Kevin (Caroline) Sudbury, ON. Also by several nieces and nephews. Lorne was a loving and loyal husband and father, he adored family in particular his grand-children, were his pride and joy. He had a passion for fishing, hunting and snowmobiling, which he enjoyed to the fullest. Lorne will be remembered by his family and friends for his wonderful humorous character. His funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church with Father Bill Arsenault officiating, with interment at Saint Anthony's in Glen Levit. Active Pallbearers were Donald, Barry, Richard and Kevin Irvine, David Nelson, James Kitchen. Honorary were William Falle, Ronald Dube, Willis Johnston, Raymond Sherrard, Llewellyn Boudreau, Blaine Mann and Wayman Dunn. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Campbellton. IRVINE- The family of Lorne Irvine would like to express our sincere thanks to family and friends for your wonderful love and support during this very difficult time. Also to all staff in the Ambulance, Paramedics. Emergency Department and to the as well as ICU, and Palliative Care. For all the mass cards, floral arrangements, cancer, Heart & Stroke, many memorial funds, to different organizations, too numerous to name. To all the thoughtful neighbours and friends who brought food and support to us all.To Father Bill for his wonderful Mass, for his compassionate, caring ways. James Briggs

The sudden death of James Briggs 74 who passed away at the hospital in Hamilton, Ontario on November 8, 2008. Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Alice and Joseph Briggs of Dalhousie, NB. He leaves to mourn his common-law wife Margaret Alexander and he was the stepfather of James and Brenda Alexander, two brothers John Briggs (Rolande Lefebvre) of Three Rivers, QC and Henry Briggs (Victoire Rivard) from St. Maurice, QC, four sisters Mary Briggs, Patsy Briggs, Geraldine Briggs (Eddy Lagacé) from Richardsville and Coleen Briggs Ferlatte from Dalhousie. Predeceased by two brothers Charlie Briggs and Edgar Briggs, three sisters Rita Briggs, Laura Briggs and Lucy Briggs. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
