Gene Dionne

The death of Gene Dionne of Jacquet River occurred at his residence Friday October 19, 2007, at the age 71. Born in Jacquet River, he was the son of the late Ralph Dionne and Anna Audet.

Gene is survived by his wife Jeannine, sons Peter (Lisa) of Oshawa, Dale (Sharon) of Whitby, daughters Angie Mitchel (Tom) of Oshawa, Suzanne King (Robert) of Toronto, stepdaughters Arlene Firlotte (Ron) of Belledune, Patsy Steeves of Belledune, brothers: Joe of Brockville and Vaughan of Chateauguay as well as eight grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his sister Lou Firlotte and brother Delphis.

His funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, on Monday October 22, 2007, officiated by Father Chamberlain with burial in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Macmillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Marion Leona Lee Arseneault
1939 - 2007

We are saddened by the death of Marion Leona Arseneault on October 24, 2007, at the age of 68. Wife of the late Wilfred (Teddy) Arseneault and daughter of the late Treffle and Clara Godin.

She will be deeply missed by her children Boyd Arseneault (Eva) of Tennessee, Donna Morris (Glen) Dalhousie & Justin Arseneault (Kim) of Rothsy, NB, grandsons Jonathan & Tyson, sisters Geraldine Scott (Jack) Calgary, AB, Barb Thibodeau (Jack) Perth-Andover, NB, Vivian Travers (Jack) Everet, On, Eileen Drapeau (Guy) Eel River Crossing, Jeannette Arseneault (Leonard) Dalhousie, & Theresa Scott (Bob) BC, brothers Roger Godin, BC, Donald Godin (Susan) Campbellton, Danny Godin Point La Nim, Joe Godin Campbellton & George Godin (Mary Ann) ON, several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by Gerald & Charlotte.

Funeral Service was held from St. John Bosco Church Dalhousie on Saturday October 27th at 11:00am. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher`s Funeral Home Dalhousie.

Phyllis Lorraine (Keays) Court

On October 14, 2007, Phyllis Lorraine (Keays) Court of Edson, Alberta, beloved wife of Bloyce Court, passed away at the age of 69 years following a courageous battle with cancer.

Phyllis was the eldest child born to the late Albert Clinton Keays and the late Irene Margaret (Gaudin) on April 15, 1938 in Escuminac, Quebec. Phyllis married Bloyce in 1958 and together they raised their family in Escuminac. In 1980 the family moved to Edson, Alberta. In the years that followed Phyllis never forgot her family or the many wonderful friends that she had left behind "back east". She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, whose greatest joy in life was her family. She will be forever sadly missed by her loving family and her many friends that she made over the years.

Besides her loving husband Bloyce, Phyllis is survived by her children and grandchildren; Peggy (Ken Gordon) Court of Edson, Alberta Minnie (Bert) Jager of Bellevue, Alberta, and their children Megan (Jeremy). Jennifer and Kristopher Maureen (Ted) Zielke of Edson, Alberta and their children Candice, Randy, Cory and Zachary Shelley (Rick Siki) Robinson of Edson, Alberta. and their children Devin, Danyka, Tyler, Dustin, Kendra, Dawson and Avery. Also surviving Phyllis are her siblings; Diane Foran of Shezzetcook, NS, Linda Davenport of Centreville, NB, Clark (May) Keays of Dalhousie Jct., NB, Garry LePoidvin of Campbellton, NB, Dale (Robert) Barnes of Dalhousie Jct., NB, and her sister-in-law Betty LePoidvin of Campbellton, NB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Phyllis was predeceased by her father Albert, her mother Irene, and her brother Ronald LePoidvin.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 1:00pm at the Foothills Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lexi Nash officiating. Internment followed at the Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.

If desired, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 1Z2 in memory of Phyllis Lorraine Court.

Ralph Mallaley Jr.

The death of Ralph Mallaley Jr. of Lorne occurred suddenly on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the age of 56. Born in Lorne, he was the son of Lillian (Dempsey) and the late Ralph Mallaley.

He is survived by his wife Ruby(Hickey)Mallaley,son Ryan and daughter Allison,grandsons Zachary and Brandon as well as his brothers Gary(Dola),Eugene,Michael,Martin,Mark(Charlene) and Keith all of Lorne and his sisters Lucy of Lorne,Carol Ann(Gerald Carrier),Susan of Lorne,Dawn(Lance) of Gravelhill,Lori of Lorne and Rhonda of Lorne.

Ralph was pre-deceased by his father Ralph Sr.and a brother Christopher.

His funeral was held from St.Marie Goretti Church,Lorne Tuesday Oct.23,2007 officiated by Father Chamberlain with burial in the parish cemetery.Pallbearers were-Donald Godin,Alphie Godin,Steven Mallaley,Jason Godin,Travis Mallaley and Elric Mallaley.

Rena Mildred MacKenzie
March 09, 1928 - October 13, 2007

"Death is not an end but a beginning."

Rena Mildred MacKenzie (Geldart) beloved wife of Glenford Robert MacKenzie and dedicated daughters Sandra Cameron and Sheila Robertson has passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 79, surrounded by her loved ones. Rena was born a twin sister of Emily, to Stella and Lawson Geldart of Atholville, N.B. along with her older sister Ardeth, brother Eldridge and younger sister Doris. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church, a CGIT leader, as well as a past member of Lady Alexander Chapter 24, Order of the Eastern Star. Rena will be greatly missed by those who dearly loved her. She was predeceased by her mother Stella Margaret, father Lawson Emery, sister Ardeth Edmunds (Carl), brother Eldridge Geldart (Alyuna), sister Emily Butler (James), sister Doris Gilmore (Hazen). Rena is survived by her loving husband Glenford of 59 years, daughters Sheila Robertson (Jim) and Sandra Cameron (Bruce). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jason and Ross; nieces and nephews Margaret Kuppinen (Chuck), Robert Butler (Kim), Linda Samuel (Winston), Michael Geldart (Norma), Katherine LaPierre (Marcel), Susan McPhail (Bruce), Nancy Gilbert (Stephen), Andrew Geldart (Heather), Raymond Edmunds (deceased), Eldridge Edmunds (Betty) and Brian Edmunds (Colette).

Interment was at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
