Michael Chamberlain

The death of Michael Chamberlain of Nash Creek,occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital,Nov,2008 at the age of 61. Born in Sunnyside,he was the son of Pearl (Furlotte) and the late Alexander Chamberlain. He is survived by his sons; Michael of Cambridge and Shawn of Bathurst; mother Pearl; grandson Nathan; Brothers Reggie and Rickey as well as his sisters; Marsha Taylor, Diane Goodine Nash and Donna Mallaley. He was pre-deceased by his father and brother Vincent. His funeral was held from St. Gabriels Church, Jacquet River, Thursday,Nov.20,2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson. Pallbearers were Gerald Chamberlain, Alison Hickey, Dalton Furlotte, Clarence Driscoll, Donald Godin and Cory Mallaley.Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home,Black Point. www.macmillansfuneralhome.ca

Leola (Lola) Allard

The death of Lola Allard of Benjamin River,occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Thursday Nov.13,2008 at the age of 71. Born in Petit Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Rheal Doucet and the late Evangeline(Roy) She is survived by her husband Bert; daughters Suzanne Fitzpatrick (Terry) of St.Lauzere, Quebec; Judy Allard (Bob Richardson) of Sherwood Park, Alberta; Diane Allard (Claude Masse) of Calgary, Alberta; Barbara Allard (Serge Lalonde) of Brossard, Quebec and her grandchildren Meighen, Kayla, Jamie and Caitlan, She is also survived by her brothers Vernon, Armand and Louis as well as her sisters Claudia Cormier & Collette Cormier. Her funeral was held from The Full Gospel Country Church, Nash Creek,Friday Nov.14,officiated by Rev. Albertine LeBlanc. Pallbearers were Terry Fitzpatrick, Bob Richardson, Serge Lalonde, Armand Doucet, Vernon Doucet & Pierre Doucet. Jack Carrier

The death of Jack Carrier of Nash Creek, occurred Nov,2008 at his residence at the age of 70. Born in Nash Creek,he was the son of the late Wilfred Carrier and the late Emma Hickey. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Moore), sons Jake of Nash Creek & Joe (Elaine) of Toronto as well as his daughters Suzanne Carrier of Nash Creek, Brenda Russell (Randy) of Belle dune and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Emmline Harvey (Murray) Mabel Hickey, Eva LaPointe, Christine Lavigne (Cleo), Martha Moreau (Ralph), June Furlotte (James); brothers Gene (June),Guy (Lorna),Joe, Wayne (Bernadette), Stephen (Jean) , Claude (Bennitta) and Kirk (Trina). Jack was pre-deceased by his brother Francis. His funeral was held from St. Josephs Church,Nash Creek, Saturday Nov.15, 2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish Cemetery. Ernestine (Guitard) Roy

It's with deep sadness that we are announcing the death of our mother, Ernestine Roy, on Friday November 14, 2008 at the Dalhousie Nursing Home. Born in Petit- Rocher, NB in 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Adélard Guitard and the late Thérèse Arseneault. She leaves to mourn 4 sons Jean-Claude (Janice) from Dalhousie, Paul-Emile (Monique) from McLeod, Raymond (Carmel) from Dundee and Yvon from Campbellton, seven daughters Clarisse Leblanc from Pointe à la Croix, QC, Patricia (Curtis) Christenson from Bridgewater, NS, Jeanne (Greg) Good from Blackland, Claudine Hamilton from Campbellton, Roseline Roy from Dalhousie, Noëlla (Christian) Dancause from Campbellton, Linda (Dominic) Lacquaniti from Toronto, ON, her brothers: Denis from Hilton, AB, Mathias from Petit-Rocher, Rhéal from Dalhousie and her sisters: Béatrice Doucet from Petit-Rocher, Anonciale Lavigne from Dalhousie, Doris Beaulé and Jacqueline St-Laurent from Petit-Rocher.Also survived by her 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Léon and her sons Louis Michel and passed at an early age: Edward and André; her brother Ernest, her sisters Alice, Yvonne and Anita. The funeral mass was held from St. John Baptist Church Dalhousie on Monday November 17th at 11am. Father Réjean Landry officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Alex Miller

Relatives and friends were saddened to hear of the sudden death of Alex Miller of Eel River Bar. He passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Tuesday November 11 at the age of 81. Born and raised in Eel River Bar, he was the son of Louis Miller and Alice McBain. He was the widower of Barbara Miller. He leaves behind three daughters: Linda, Nancy (Harn), Patricia (Hachey) and five sons: Ronnie, George, Eric, Rene and Tony; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He also leaves behind one sister; Elenor (Nora) Cross of Detroit, Michigan. Funeral Services were held at the St. John Bosco Church on Victoria St. Dalhousie on November 14, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Burial services immediately followed at the St. John Baptist cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Alex Miller. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Dalhousie.
